Just a tip for any time you create a copy of a permanent (small missplay at ~ 1:00:10): When copying a permanent, it enters as a copy of that permanent only with the characteristics printed on the card/permanent being copied (ETB and/or ''enters with' will all take effect). In such case, the aethersphere harvester myriad copies would indeed enter the battlefield and give energy, but they would only be vehicles, NOT creatures, nor would they have lifelink as both of those effects are not printed on the card. The same is true if you copy a permanent that is modified (counters, enchantment, etc); the counters are not copied, but the permanent is. Notably, you would not be able to suddenly crew these vehicles and attack with them either given attacks have already been declared. A few subtle exceptions to this copy rule are mutated permanents and copying copies: When copying a mutated permanent, you copy the 'entire' permanent ie. all printed keywords and abilities of the mutated creature which can include abilities of multiple cards so long as they are part of the same mutated creature (if there are multiple cards that make up a mutated creature, they are treated as the same game object and thus the entire object is copied). See Tawnos, the Toymaker for some fun shenanigans. If you copy a permanent that is a copy of another permanent, you copy the copied permanent as it exists on the battlefield. Ex. If 'Evil Twin' enters as a copy of a grizzly bear, it enters as a grizzly bear with its activated ability. If you then copy the Evil Twin Grizzly Bear with another copy effect, you get a copy of grizzly bear with the activated ability of Evil Twin, not just a grizzly bear. I don't have the specific rules references but if anyone would like to add them below, feel free. Cheers, and thanks for the video!
Oof I had this happen to me in arena, made me sick. So stupid. Thank god it wasn’t Ulamog or something busted, but it didn’t get much better after that, the value was already done.
That precon is devastating. Tried playing it unchanged and the amount of mana the deck generates is absurd. It's just missing some strong payoffs with the mana you generate and some counterspells to protect your most important pieces. Definitely NOT a beginner deck though.
Matt missed a part of his card at 54min. He before exiling the sorcery he was able to untap 5 lands which would have netted him 10 more mana and then had 15 cards to play. I love commander though because its way more chill. When I was playing with my friends routinely we all misread cards for weeks before our other friend was like read it and changed the way my deck played lol
Yep, TCG games with buddys and misreading cards is how it goes. Sometimes even after you figure out the correct way to play you just say whatever, keep playing it like you normally do since its funner that way, lol.
