Schuyler makes the best full yapp Bibles in my opinion. I have the Black pearl in the Canterbury and the personal size as well, both are amazing! My personal size even has a huge scar on it on the back which I absolutely love and makes it unique! 😃

I finally purchased this. I always wanted one but never dropped the ball and went for other Schuyler and other translations and then BAM! God convicted me.

Excellent review. I have the KJV personal size Canterbury in black pearl as well. Absolutely beautiful, but the print is on the small side. I just pre-ordered the NKJV Quentel (full size) in black pearl. I can hardly wait to receive it sometime in February. I also have the NKJV Quentel credo edition (full size) in mahogany; another beautiful bible from Schuyler. NKJV is my favorite translation.
Agreed, Schuyler is the best. I read my Bibles more than ever before since I started using the Quentels.
Hi David, thanks for sharing your views on this beautiful bible. I have the Canterbury from Schuyler in Slate goatskin and its cover is stunning with patterns in the grain. I have the Shamar goatskin first edition LSB and just love that Bible! Right now there is a Black Pearl full yap Quentel NASB travelling between your country all the way to me in Australia. I have been drooling over this bible for months! Not read the NASB AND IN 11pt type the original point size is awesome. So glad it is not yet at 10pt. Got the Quentel ESV so love the 11pt for my one eye that can read.
I have an ESV PSQ in Marbled Merlot calfskin full yap, therefore do know just how sumptuous this leather is. I can hardly wait for my Black Pearl to arrive in a week! Always FedEx is worth the massive cost because it’s quick. God bless you and your ministry and family, my brother in Christ!

I gotta sale off some of my knives amd bibles to buy one of these cause they are so cool. I honestly could be a one bible guy now ....well one premium bible guy, I still love my old paste downs but premium bibles are just to expensive now.
That yapp and color is hands down the bible I've always wanted to see.

That’s not entirely true. When Schuyler first came out, they were nowhere near perfect. People were comparing them to Allan and criticizing each detail that came up short especially the ribbons. They didn’t have the rights of the iconic type-faces, so the got 2k Denmark. Schuyler may be better today, but Allan set the standard which motivated them to improve and compete. There wouldn’t be a Schuyler as we know it today without Allan.

I agree. Schuyler just wins. I've never owned an Allen, so maybe I'd change my mind. Schuyler just has a classic look to it. Plus the PSQ is perfect.
I kust got mine. Mine is very gray, I'm not really lovin the color too much, my first full yap bible as well, but other than that the bibles gorgeous. I really like the blue under silver gilting. Thanks for the video.
Film it and send me the link. Publishers need to know about variations so they can fix the issue. But also-congratulations on your new Schuyler!

I don't have a Tuscany yet... But, as soon as it comes out in CSB Full size with a yapp--I'm done for.
It does look like it has a fine dust on it. Sort of makes me think of their slate one, but prettier.
For me it's a draw between Schuyler and Cambridge. I just could not choose between the more beautiful design and not having to suffer through self pronounciation in the Schuyler and the bulletproof construction and the scanned plates of the Cambridge Bibles.

Hey, how do you think genuine leather compares to imitation leather? I know you don't like imitation leather, but I would like to know if genuine leather holds up long term.
Genuine leather is pretty solid.
I would prefer you the same way you review Bibles. Why Because there's a certain amount of humility in your tone and your attitude when you review bibles which I like

How has your experience been with the longevity of calfskin bibles? I’ve only owned goatskin and pigskin. I’ve narrowed it down to the black goatskin Canterbury or the black pearl. Now I’m frozen with indecision. 😂

No, it’s definitely dark. In warmer light, it’s difficult to see the Pearl bits.
