    Omg, I have not finished the video yet but had to comment. When you said "probably why people who walk like that don't have jobs is cause they are too tired from walking like that", I laughed so hard. I will never forget this and always think of this when I see them now.

    You handled things well but a word of caution here. Always call 911 in the future b/c you just showing the gun, not even pointing, could be an illegal act in some jurisdictions. In your case the bad guy could have called 911 first and claimed you pointed a gun at him for no reason and then you have a problem w/the cops.

    Damn right I carry, when legally possible. 10 min from my house 5 or 6 innocent ppl were killed inside a Radio Shack one night. I hope I’m never put in the situation where I ever have to use it but it’s always good to have a plan B if you’re trapped in a potentially deadly scenario with nowhere to go. BTW, fleeing would be my first option, if possible.

    • @jrodeo96
      @jrodeo96  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never been a fan of open carry. Why is that your method of carry? I'm just curious. Is that the only option in the state you live in?

    • @DaddytechEnt
      @DaddytechEnt 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i open carry because i can and it doesn't normally freak people out around here but that's only on occasion. mostly i open carry on long trips but most days i only pocket carry my LCP. TN Has both but you have to have a permit to open carry here as well unless you just like walking around with an unloaded gun on your hip and really what's the sense in that?

    • @jrodeo96
      @jrodeo96  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      DaddytechEnt- because you can lol good enough reason for me. I figured with open carry you would have to constantly stop and deal with anti gunners and all their nonsense

    • @xXGamingFactorXx
      @xXGamingFactorXx 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm curious as to your motives or effectivity of open carry, not prying or anything. I'm a big advocate of CCW, I think it's practical with the right firearm choice, it keeps you extremely safe, and if a criminal never saw it, the second they would they would think twice about attacking you. It has been my thought process that being an open carrier poses some extra risks, I like to watch the channel ASP(active self protection) on youtube, which demonstrates the benefits and cons of open carry in certain videos(they cover videos in which people use weapons for defense), and it seems a not too common encounter but certainly does happen, is someone looking to get a free firearm, trying to take it from open carriers, just curious

    • @jrodeo96
      @jrodeo96  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ASP is a great channel. It doesn't just go through hypothetical situations which I hate. You can play the "what if" game all day long and lose every time in a controlled and calm environment. It shows real life footage of people in all types of situations to see what they did right and what they could improve on. Very useful info on that channel

    Don’t remember what state you said but by me you would’ve been 100% justified in shooting that guy. Stand your ground in vehicles here! I saw your other comment asking why I would carry with an empty chamber but then it disappeared. I personally would never carry with an empty chamber. That, in my mind, is an empty and ineffective weapon. I have talked to a few people that said that it's not safe, but I agree with what you said. It's not that it's unsafe, but that the carrier is not comfortable with a firearm yet. To answer your question, I never have an empty chamber. Thanks for watching and the comments

    • @michaelhedgepeth5106
      @michaelhedgepeth5106 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      justaworkin I promise you ,I in NO way: was being judgemental, critical, suggestive of how you personally carry, Brother ! I know it's lots of other's out there who've never carried or handled a firearm. With all the controversy going on, as you mentioned I'M Personalty Scared that they'd :start carrying and accident get shot by a cop, or accidentally shoot a family member, child, or child get firearms an hurts anybody!! If ALL GUN OWNER'S don't worry about this.your self centered an DON'T
      Care about ANYBODY! That's My opinion, any way. I've carried ALL my life, an I'm 50 year's old. DON'T have a permit, never.had permits. it's against OUR, constitute and bill of Rights for anyone to suggest otherwise! look it up.like you I carried my Vietnam vet Uncle's 22 until I could by my 1st 38 snubby.that was 35 year's ago...yeah , lots a folks would say it's illegal to carry without permit.....but they need to go look up the Federally protected Rights of a citizen before calling me a criminal. I'm not a felon, they're the Only American, who can't carry a firearm.... trust me my Lawyers proved it in a Court room!!!

    Why would it ever matter how many guns one chooses to acquire? It's a completely irrelevant question.. I could ask the same question as to why people buy multiples of of multiple items. Why do you own 2 freezers? Let's do the more than 1's scenario as it sums up much faster. More than 1 set of dishes/utensils, DVD player, car, (house in some cases) portable propane stove, shovel, dog, shed, pressure washer, tv, laptop, iPad, the list could go on & on. Why do you need a 32/44 oz soda, super sized meal 50 multi packs of toilet paper/paper towels, napkins, toothpicks? It's just a dumb question is all & I can't think of one single reason anyone should ever feel the need to justify. What gun grabbers fail to realize (excuse me) one of the many things gun grabbers fail to realize, is that you can only pull 1 or 2 triggers at a time. Finally why do people collect & or restore cars/truck/vans/station wagons/suvs? Or stamps, precious metals, hot wheels, transformers, Barbie dolls, Pokémon, cloths & purses, shoes. Ok I drug this comment on long enough.

    • @jrodeo96
      @jrodeo96  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you upset because people buy more than one gun? Or just that people buy more than one item in general?

      Listen man with ammo progression becoming what it is today .380 is just fine for personal defense.. hell As a backup I ALWAYS have at least a 380 on me no matter what, because in this day and age they are so small there’s no excuse to not have at least a .380 on you..hell even my mom & dad carry .380s.. just make sure you choose a real good quality HP like Hornady Critical Defense, hornady xtp, Speer Gold Dot, hell even the old school federal hydra-Shok will do the job ...I’ve grew up shooting since 4 or 5 years old, been shooting for 20+yrs and got tons of experience with multiple calibers, and Between me and wife we have quite a few handguns..Several carry guns each, and my wife is 5-7 120 lbs and shoots 38spl, 9mm& 45acp very well! But most of the time carry’s a m&p bodyguard 380 over all the options we have , because that’s what she wanted, and had to have! (the tan FDE version)
      Anyway..for a long time there I tried to convince her to carry a Glock 43, my Kahr PM9, Glock 26 is too thick for her..the closest I’ve got is my little s&w j-frame 642 airweight which she’ll carry once in a while .. but ya know I’ve learned to back off because, in reality I’m just blessed that she does carry a gun ..even if it is a .380.. and honestly people overthink it, and a .380 ACP is plenty for personal defense in most situations, and she always has an extra mag or two and now a NAA -pug for backup (which again ain’t very powerful even 22 Magnum because it’s such a short little barrel ..but as I said if she will carry It makes me happy! we’ve got a son to protect and if it’s the work week and just her and my boy she always takes a Glock 19 or 26 with her for the vehicle/ purse.. Hopefully will never need it!
      ..anyway I’m really sorry for the VERY long drawn out comment man ..i just get annoyed when people say negative comments about the caliber people choose to carry..it’s not like you’re carrying a .22 or .25 Even ..it’s a .380!!! So don’t listen to people man in the end a gun is a gun, a Bullet is a bullet, yes bigger is usually more effective to an extent, but even a smaller caliber is almost always better than a stick, bar, knife etc...
      god bless man! Stay safe!

      Okie1122- regardless or what the caliber is, it'll probably make someone rethink their decision lol. That .380 served its purpose but it only had a 7+1 capacity and the trigger pull on that thing was a mile long so I decided to get out of the compact sizes. It also only came with 1 mag and replacements were $40 a piece. I switched to the Taurus PT111 9mil. It worked but I wanted something full sized so now i carry an M&P9 full size. 17+1 with an extra mag. What are your thoughts on carrying with one in the chamber vs an empty chamber?

      Yes with modern ammo like Speer gold dot, 380 would be ok, or just ball ammo for penetration. I bought a 50 rnd box of Speer gold dot in .40 cal in 165 grain for 40 dollars the other day, cannot beat that price, 1150 FPS

      Yep unless their stupid or just wanna die lol and generally with Taurus I don’t usually care for their autos some of the revolves are just fine, but last year one of my dealers had a used pt111G2 for $150 that him and the other guy at the shop put a few hundred rounds through putting it through its paces..and cool price for me cause we do deals a lot so he hooked the price up, and I had seen all the video reviews, and heard all about how great it was, and me and my wife probably put about 500 rounds through that thing and it was flawless..lonnnng initial trigger pull, but man! After that the follow up shots/ reset was phenomenally short. Good pistol.. especially for the money..sold it to a work buddy that needed something for home/ vehicle protection so it was perfect for that role, and didn’t break him financially..
      And great choice on the M&P man! They are great guns! And I Agree on the lc380.. for the most part if your gonna go Ruger lc-auto then either Lcp, or lc9 the lc380 is kind of an in-practical size when there are so many 9mm that size range.
      And yes ALWAYS carry with one in the pipe or don’t carry. (That’s my opinion) me and my whole family carry that way .. I just don’t feel like you have time to dick with tryin to chamber a round.. you just don’t know what you’re gonna face. For me, all my carry guns are carried hot, and none of em have manual safeties. I think the simpler the better for a carry gun, now don’t get me wrong.. there are a couple of exceptions like .45acp, or 9mm/.380 that runs off the 1911 platform, because when it comes to a hammer fired, hair pin single- action trigger then yes! Carry cocked and locked! Hot and ready with safety on..and with practice flipping a safety off shouldn’t be a problem to someone experienced.
      I think in some instances that 1911 platform are even worse for people who are skittish, because they will carry in condition 2 (no round in the chamber, safety on, and the hammer up). That’s just wayyyyy to many negatives in your favor..
      what I always tell people when they are kinda scared or new carrying a gun, and scared to carry it hot..is I tell them listen, that gun ain’t gonna pull its own trigger..you gotta do it, and then I ask them “Are you scared to carry a revolver with bullets in the cylinder?” And of course The answer is typically gonna be no..so then I say ..and why is that because a revolver feel safe with that heavy double action trigger right? and there is no difference in an automatic with a double action trigger! One operates from the cylinder, and one feeds from a magazine..other than that safety wise the triggers won’t pull themselves..
      ..oh and also man I gotta say!! When you talked about them thugs walkin the way they do.. the hoppin n boppin or whatever, and said “it’s gotta be exhausting!” “No wonder none of em got jobs!”
      Dude! That was so hilarious man!😆 I cracked up on that part hard, and it usually takes a lot to make me actually laugh.

    I might be over doing it but I have my AR15 in my trunk alongside my carrier with Lvl 3A plates and a ballistic helmet.

      MemeWarVeteran2016- I thought about doing that and would still like to, but I'm not always near my truck. I didn't want to risk my rifle getting stolen. Maybe if I could find some super lock box... or a job in a better area

    • @joshuafien2003

      In your trunk? A lot of good that'd do you in THIS situation buddy...
      Suggestion: i bought one of those magnetic gun holders and screwed it in underneath my steering wheel. I keep Smith & Wesson 686+ .357 magnum stuck to the magnet there in case i forget to grab my CZ RAMI 9MM when I'm walking out the door that day. I'll always have the means to defend myself and my beautiful young wife. Another positive is that its not visible unless you know its there.
      Also, to the dude making the video, ditch the .380 and get a 9mm. Ammo is cheaper, more available, and more powerful. If you like the Ruger lcp you have, upgrade to the Ruger lc9!
      Shoot straight and stay safe my fellow concealed carry warriors!

      A lot of good you could do with a setup like that, but you and I both know it wouldn’t look good if a cop pulled you over with all that in the trunk lol

    • @TheIslandexotics
      @TheIslandexotics 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sam hickleberry yea but think about it, ballistic plates and helmet and gun with all the school shootings that have been happening, that cop may think you were planning something. I have no problem with the gun haha it’s just the plates and helmet imo wouldn’t look good being next to the gun

    • @TheIslandexotics
      @TheIslandexotics 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sam hickleberry I’m not saying it’s not fine, but you’ve got to be pretty dense to think having all of that in your trunk doesn’t make you look suspicious.
