Last time I went through a license check point I told the officer I had a weapon on me,,,,His exact words were “ I do to “ best response I’ve ever heard.
That is the way it should be. Any officer doing this is guilty of committing treason, violating the constitution of the united states of america is violating oath of office which is treason and a felony under state and federal law (perjury).
Can you tell me if a cop knows that the tag on a car is owned by a person with a concealed weapon permit, assuming that they ran the tag number threw the police computer? I think its safe to say that police routinely do that and there is no reason not to!
@@johnnymac1580 the only way to know if a person has a CCW, is if they’re the owner of the tag, or you run their OLN ( drivers license). The only way a firearm has a hit, is if it’s stolen and reported. 99% off firearms come back as negative, meaning no record of firearm. If a gun is used in a crime, we have to do a trace, through the ATF, which can take some time.
Just moved to a state that has constitutional carry open and concealed without any permit and got myself a ruger security 9 and carry it concealed at work. I had a cop come in to ask to view my cameras from the day before and was extremely nervous about having it concealed on me(I grew up in Chicago and it’s almost impossible to carry there) I told him I had it and he said good you should be armed working by yourself lol
Got stopped for speeding, told officer I was armed. Officer said, “Okay, don’t show me yours and I won’t show you mine.”. Talked briefly, verified my license and insurance, was lucky and just got a verbal warning. Was a good time for all.
I'm an OTR truck driver and I carry EVERYWHERE... mainly because I don't trust anyone... I was in Georgia and went into a truckstop where a deputy sheriff was ordering his lunch. He told me I needed to fix my shirt, I looked down and my pistol was visible. He was cool about it and asked if I had a CCP which I readily produced. We chatted about guns for a bit and went our separate ways but because I didn't mouth off to him... I left with no more holes than I walked in with. Give respect and you'll get respect.
I’ve been pulled over a few times while carrying. I never told them, they never asked, and everything was fine. Some states require you to notify, my state does not. I’m only required to tell them if they ask.
Yup! If I'm carrying I know my intentions, tbh it's none of the cops business if I'm carrying or not. And I wont be treated like a criminal to make them feel safe. There's still good cops out there but I lost most of my respect for them after seeing them march to governors and health departments unconstitutional lockdowns. If shit ever really hits the fan, unfortunately most cops will cave and do whatever it takes for their paycheck.
State i live in you dont have to tell officer unless they ask if you are permit holder. But if your concealed carry under constitution here you have to tell them immediately.
Me: I am conceal carrying officer: where is the weapon located Me: Well, I have a pistol on my right hip.. and an ar-15 under the back seat.. and a high powered rifle laying behind the back seat. officer: what are you so afraid of son? Me: not a damn thing sir.. not a damn thing.
@Fred Freddy I’d disagree. In most cases when a person carries a concealed weapon it’s sensible that they have something that can offer defensive action quickly. Although it doesn’t feel justifiable when someone has three guns hidden in the vehicle, and an eight pound hand cannon with the action back to protect them. That’s illogical.
Very good advice. A few things that weren’t mentioned. 1) If it’s night, turn the dome light on. 2) Roll the windows down before the officer approaches. 3) if possible, pull into a parking lot, and pull up to a fixed object. This lets the officer know your not going to try and bolt. 4) even if your state doesn’t require you to advise them of firearms, it’s always a good idea.
I like Idaho. Mom and I got pulled over and I'm the passenger. Mom told the officer I had a gun, he looked at me, I waved, and the best response I've ever heard. "You keep your bullets and I'll keep mine."
The cop pulled your mom over, not you. Tell mom to stay quiet about it next time. No need to unnecessarily advertise to the government what you have and don’t have.
@@totallyfrozen But then when he asks you to step out and has a legitimate reason for it, and finds out that this whole time you had a gun on you and he didn’t know. How do you think the cop will react? Fool.
@@totallyfrozen Legally, they have to know when someone is carrying a weapon in the car, even if it is a passenger. It's a stupid rule but the law is the law.
@@JustSomeRandomGuyOnTH-cam If I’m a cop and I pulled you over and you didn’t tell me you had a gun in your possession right away until I found out, I would be pissed.
I had an encounter just like this last week, officer pulled me over for running a stop sign, headlight out. As I stop, I kill my car, turn my interior lights on, keep my hands on the sterling wheel, I don’t move, as the cop comes to my window, I calmly told him that I am open carrying my firearm and it’s in the floor board beside my feet. He says “Okay, no problem.” Stands there at my window runs all my information and just lets me go. Be respectful and you get respect.
Stigler Panther keep in mind in some state if you open carry and have the weapon loaded in the vehicle it is considered concealed at that point, you must separate the ammo and weapon, one of the two in the trunk. Pa is like that.
Don’t act like a thug, comply with officers directions and don’t go for a gun and you will be fine. All these so called innocent people being shot were anything but innocent.
Well, for years I carried conceal and did just as you say in this video and 9 times out of 10 it went the way of the first example, "thank you sir, you can go on your way". But that 1 in 10 times the officer wants to make a point of showing his opinion of conceal carry holders and removes you from the car, has you put your hands on your roof like a criminal, and then proceeds to disarm you...only to then place a loaded gun in the back seat next to my young son. I did file a complaint with his superior and he WAS disciplined. Point being, appreciate the video but the training needs to go both ways and there needs to be mutual respect.
I think what's going on here in this comment section is just that the people who have never had an issue are the ones saying to follow the rules, but we are all just one really bad experience away from a whole other viewpoint because the cops have way too much power to fuck you.
There is no need for a cop to know you're armed unless they are going to search you for some reason. I'll never tell a cop I'm carrying unless he wants to pull me out of the car and frisk me.
If you an armed ccw holder and in the state of Louisiana, which is where this was filmed, you are required by law to inform if the reason you are involved with the officer is official business, like a traffic stop. Violation of the law will result in suspension and confiscation of the permit immediately. Check the laws you carry or plan to carry in.
Or if you learn to respect authority regardless of tone of voice. Your attitude determines your altitude. The officer is the authority so you should respect it regardless of how he/she comes across.
Cops are always ass holes, respect and politeness is something that's earned over time somebody walking up to my car telling me what to do does not count. Now maybe if the officers that have pulled me over in my life we're not rude and acted as children then maybe I would respect them more nowadays.
Thank you for the video. I've carried and been around guns for many years. I was taught not to say anything about having a gun on me during a traffic stop unless a cop asks me about having a weapon. Now I am wiser because again I was told that it shows up automatically that I am a conceal carry person. Thanks again for the video.
I just had my first traffic stop since I got my CCP. My firearm was in the console between the seats. When he got to my window he asked for my stuff as usual and I couldn't decide to tell him or not. I have had people that say never say a word and some say to get it out in the open (the fact I am armed, not the firearm itself) and I chose the latter. If I were a cop, I would want to know. So I said "sir, just so you know, I have a CCP and a firearm in the console" He thanked me for telling him, and went back to his car with my paperwork. I was going 50 in a 30 in a school zone. It's normally 45 when schools out. I had just forgot. He came back and said that because they had so many complaints about speeders, he had to give me a ticket. But he wrote it for 40 in a 30, which dropped it down to the lowest level. Because I had a valid license, plates and proof of insurance, plus I was forth coming about my CCP, I believe that is why he really gave me a break. I was going to get the ticket no matter what. So, take what you want from this story.
@@bigwitt187 still depends on your state. Louisiana, that's perfectly fine extension of your home, but it has to be in plain sight if loaded. Texas on the other hand, you can't have a gun loaded at all in your car unless you have it secured on a shoulder or hip holster
@@kitsachie. I am a Texas CHL holder and your wrong on storing it out of sight is allowed. I got rear ended and placed it in my trunk before the officers arrived after I called it in. Told them about it and after it all was done asked if I could retrieve it before leaving and they had no problem as they were going to be a while as the individual who hit me had no Lisc or insurance. Always Best to inform them no matter what.
almost my story nothing to hide so be it i got 1 speed ticket in my life 18yrs old late for work i was worried it might hurt my chances when at 21 went in front of a judge for my ccw permit
SJC 90% of the blacks killed by cops where footage was available were attacking the police. You’ll notice the news stories died down when body cams on police were required
A legal firearm owner is the least likely threat to LEO's and i always comply. But I also respect anyone who questions a traffic stop if it infringes on their rights
I let it happen n fight the ticket in court. I’m simply not gonna argue with these guys. Most times they are more lenient when you’re not debating with them. It’s better to be cool n manipulate them then Show them how upset you are n argue with them.
@@Knockaswagga i let one write me a ticket for going 51 in a 30 even though I was in a 45. I said I was actually in the 45. I showed up in court.......I had our conversation audio recorded 😂🤔. So I go to court and he tells his spew then I ask what expertise he has in the deceleration rate of a Ford Focus, he said your honor that’s irrelevant so then Cop was in disbelief when I let the judge hear the recording. @@Knockaswagga don’t get belligerent…but if they ask you “do you know how fast you were going?” And you’re like “ oh I don’t know, maybe 70 or 75” you just admitted to speeding assuming you’re in a 65 zone. You also have a 5th amendment right…give them the documents you’re required to give and don’t say more than is needed to complete the stop…you’re just giving them more evidence.
It’s unbelievable how many people in cop cam videos say that. Paying taxes isn’t optional. It’s like....I’m sure you do and that’s why you’re not in prison right now. Doing what they’re supposed to do isn’t a bargaining point lol
I got pulled by a female officer who I knew was behind me for speeding. We had left a stop light on a highly traveled road and I thought I had passed the 60 mph section when I was still in the 45 mph section. She approached and asked me what was I thinking and I told her, I also told her I had CC and a weapon (not a gun) by my seat to which she replied "OK". I did have my registration and drivers license ready and my hands on the door frame, my flashers on and all of the windows down. After checking she told me to have a nice day and the 60 mph was a few hundred yard yet. Being cool works most of the time. Mike
One thing I recommend to anyone, living in any state, is to have your registration and insurance papers above your visor. That way you aren't fumbling around anywhere the LEO can't see your hands and don't have to explain what you're doing.
I have mine in a small leather bag and pull it out the minute I see the lights or see the cop suddenly turn around. Another cop also told me my license plate when they run it identifies me as a cc holder, so they already know. The only time iv'e said I was a cc holder and carrying is if they ask if I have any weapons. (note, at no time was I a smart ass during a pull over)
I was trained to do the following: If you get pulled over, open all 4 windows (because officers might not see through the tint). Turn on your dome light. Finally put both hands high on the steering wheel. Then tell the officer that you have a firearm on you where it is. Most of the time, the officer will already know if you’re a CCW holder when they conduct the traffic stop. Then when the officer asks for you to produce license and insurance, kindly ask permission to reach into your pocket for your wallet and reach over to your glovebox. Most of the time, by following these simple steps, the officer will cut you loose without giving you a citation. Respect the badge, and they will show the same respect back.
I've found that if I immediately identify that I'm CC, officers have very much appreciated it. In fact, I've never received a ticket after having done so.
@@wudupdev7299 I'm not white, my name is not white, and I can not pass for white. I conduct myself like a respectable citizen and treat law enforcement with the respect they deserve. In return law enforcement give me that same respect. How you carry yourself and how you speak will determine how law enforcement deal with you far more than the color of your skin.
My traffic stops have led me to believe if the officer called it in before the pull- the dispatcher has told the officer that I was a “concealed carry citizen”. He knew when he approached. Best thing to do is take the ticket, everyone goes home when it’s over.
Conservative: "Comply with police or you deserve whatever happens." ... Police: "Sir this Applebee's only allows guests wearing a mask. Please wear one or leave." Conservative: "Muh freedums cannot be abolished!" They know nothing bad happens to them when they disobey because they're not as likely to be seen as a threat. If only conservatives knew that black people view the police the same way they view the ATF. It's just the name difference that keeps them from realizing they're dealing with the same shit: a system of authority that too often assumes guilt until you prove your innocence.
Even before I was a licensed Concealed Carrier, I always had my wallet with ID, registration & insurance out on the open so I wouldn't have to reach into anything. Adding my permit, being compliant & communicating the presence of a permitted concealed weapon wasn't hard to do. There's no reason to make their job harder & possibly put my life at risk.
From buddies of mine who work in law enforcement, they've told me over some cold beers that if you are a CC permit holder, once they've established there's no immediate threat, they're actually relieved because they know the stats of how unlikely it is for a CC holder to break the law, especially violently, and they're happy to see someone exercising their 2nd amendment right.
yeah, EXACTLY, because we have background checks where i am, and if you have a permit that means you're not some degenerate shithead. For the most part anyway.
I have a CCL and have been stopped. I’m polite, tell the officer I’m armed and have the license. They were respectful and nice-didn’t get a ticket either but didn’t do anything dangerous
I noticed how the cop is always standing slightly behind the driver, making the driver turn his/her head backwards and providing himself more safety and control over the situation. Smart move.
They're trained to stay by the b pillar. That way if the driver tries to take a shot, they have farther to travel and shoot close to their own face, giving the officer more time to respond.
@@LupeTABASCOx As the driver, don't turn trying to look back at the cop. That could constitute unusual motion. Just look straight ahead. Officers usually know if you are carrying before they even get to the drivers side window. If the registered owner of the vehicle has a CCW it will show up on the officers terminal when they run the plate.
Mostly yes, but it depends more on the software that officers have on their terminals, rather than the state they operate in. For instance, in my state of Washington, officers use "Spillman" which does show CCW's on a RO of a vehicle.
Alex yeah that’s right so they should treat you like a law abiding citizen and not even ask. They don’t hand out CCW to criminals do they no, so they shouldn’t treat u like one. They should know you r a good guy and treat u like one they should think he or she doesn’t hv a criminal background because I They hv a CCW that’s the most intensive national background check anyone can hv. They r playing game with u if they even ask. They work for me I pay their wages they don’t pay mine.
Aaron Allen once they run my license plate they already know I hv CCW license all I’m saying is having a taillight out, failure to make a complete stop or not using a turn single doesn’t give the right to disarm me for non violent crime.i’m not an ass hole I just know when cops and not all cop over step their boundaries and abuse their authority. But cops around here r very nice 👍🏼 I never have any problems. I feel sorry for gun owners in California which it seems like they treat you like a criminal first instead of a law abiding citizen second just with laws restricting the amount of ammo u can carry says it all. philando castile got stoped for a breaklight, he did just the same as the girl in the video, 3 seconds after he says the word "firearm" the officer shoots him 7 times. Theres full video.
I suppose it was "justified " and no payment. Seen a vid were cop shot an undercover simply bc he had a gun. Six bullet holes netted him nearly six million. Didn't rule that justified, go figure.
Pro-tip: when being pulled-over, before the officer (deputy, whatever) has a chance to get to your vehicle, do the following: 1. If you have power windows, and it isn't raining, roll-down all windows 2. Turn on the dome light 3. Have your license, registration and proof of insurance on the dashboard in front of you 4. Radio (or other noise source) off 5. Place and keep your hands on the steering wheel at 10 and 2 (or 9 and 3, or whatever) This woman did a couple of those things, but not all. It's a stupid idea to leave dark-tinted windows like that rolled-up, requiring the officer to knock on it.
Sorry not all of us are sheep. I live stream every police encounter and I highly suggest others do as well.Because cops lie,so know your rights. And be stern about it.
"I HAVE A BOMB STRAPPED TO MY CHEST, I'M ON MY WAY TO AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL . THIS IS NOT A DETONATOR. IT'S MY CCW PERMIT. THIS IS NOT A JOKE" is also probably inappropriate.
I’m like 95% in support of the video. I have to say, that phrase “I’m not here to argue”, is a very bad phrase and I’ve seen a lot of very bad cops use that point of view and all it ever does is escalate a conversation (where there might be a disagreement) into an actual argument, where the citizen feels like he’s getting fucked. At the end of the day just like you’re a human, you’re also a taxpaying adult, just like me. You’re not my parent, you’re an authority figure, but that doesn’t mean we can’t disagree with you. Even if you feel like we’re having an argument, if I feel the need to explain myself to you or not explain myself to you. I agreed with everything before that though, just like I respect the badge, respect the citizen. That attitude never really goes far, especially if you think you’re right all the time. Not saying that’s you, but those guys exist.
Here in Indiana either and I never do. If they aren't smart enough to see one of my old dog tags dangling on my key ring and know that I have sworn the same oaths as them that is not my problem. Also they might get butthurt because I am a whole lot better at it than they are!
If you're a good person legally carrying, there's no reason to mention "out of the blue" that you're carrying. Of course, if asked, you should be honest. But just let the cop write you a ticket or whatever, and the gun is totally irrelevant.
"Don't be verbally combative the officer isn't there to argue with you, he's there to enforce the law and give you a warning or citation" Great. Then do it, don't waste time and violate sombody's rights just because you don't like somebody's attitude or they bruised your ego.
Also would like to add that only women get off with a warning, bigger the chest the better. My wife NEVER gets tickets for traffic stops and I have never not gotten a ticket.
@Common Logic A 6? She's really good looking, has a good shape, conceal carries, has a nice vehicle, seems responsible and her voice is not piercing and annoying. She is at least a 7.5/8. Now if she's broke, with kids and baby daddy drama, in debt and/or does drugs of course that rating can change drastically but based on the video a 7.5/8 and I would ask her for a coffee date :D
Death By Guitar no. I don’t even know what that is. I’m not a bootlicker and know in my state you do not have to tell the pig you have a firearm. Try this. th-cam.com/video/ysdyhNlAVck/w-d-xo.html
Interesting... Back when my permit was still active every time I got pulled over every single cop would ask me if I had a gun. I talked to a cop and they said that when they ran your plates the first thing that would come up was that you were a permit holder. Never knew you had to tell them you had a gun and show your permit.
I took a firearms course taught by a police officer and he actually said that it's smarter not to mention it unless the officer is going to find it simply because not every officer likes CCW holders and you don't want that to influence getting a ticket vs a warning. This is assuming you're in a state where you ARE NOT required to inform the officer during a stop.
27lebs there are usually ways around it. In the state in question in the video, if you OC or have the gun in a console, you don’t have to say anything.
i agree. i dont say shit. i also dont have ccw but thats a different matter. there are a number of police that feel citizens should not be armed and then they get edgy and combative. locally about ten years ago a police officer was yelling and berating ccw holder and officer stated he should blow drivers head off for not disclosing his ccw fast enoughfast enough. with those attitudes i dont disclose but also do not have ccw. i have never been searched so why would police start now unless of course im commiting crime. if im obeying laws and get pulled over there is no reason for search. and if the issue persists i will state that i am open carrying. havent tried that yet but i dont expect to be searched.
1:38 I love that they’re going to lengths trying to create a traffic stop scenario and there are shots going off in the background that nobody is responding to
I must disagree with you. The driver was somewhat combative and not forthcoming about the seatbelt. Further, he was complaining about being a taxpaying citizen and complaining about the stop. If I were in the officers place I would have acted exactly the same.
Always keep a small gun safe in the vehicle and before you stop lock it up! Make sure it is tethered to the seat frame or some other place and choose a safe with a combination. A key can be taken from you, a combination cannot. Then you don’t have to worry about the serial number being recorded or the officer feeling uneasy.
Tummun. Yep, video full of inaccuracies. Disarming against will is illegal search and seizure. And running the firearm to see if stolen is fishing. They must have probable cause to believe it is stoled and/or used in a crime. At least in my state. So in their informational video they taught us they lie, will violate the law, will violate your right, and further will cuff you in retaliation if you don't lick boot. Tax money well spent.
Dale Phillips In my state, one do not have to disclose he has a firearm to lawman no matter how you put it down. Filando Castile of Minnesota did disclose to the lawman and was shot dead. In Minnesota, one don’t have to disclose they’re armed. Check your facts. Perhaps, you live one of those commie states.
John Challeen probably does if he’s in Oklahoma (they are 10x more brave than Texans in terms of shotgun racks), it’s very, very rare to get into a truck as a passenger without a stupid shotgun rack jabbing the back of your head (this doesn’t happen on the driver side since they adjust it out of the way but never bother to check the passenger seat... sigh...). Even in school in a small town at least 1/4 of the trucks had their skeet shotgun or hunting rifle in the rear (it was like 1/2 or more on weekends, a lot of them took it out for school but honestly nobody cared and then you’d forget to put it back in for the schools FFA trap shooting practice day where everyone piled into the van with them and went out for practice). Also deer skulls and sometimes a full tied down one in the back of the truck was popular just to prove that it wasn’t photoshopped (and laughably you could see when some girls had been hunting due to scope ring marks and a black eye from being way too close, though many only had that once and learned, lol!). Most every farmer keeps a shotgun and a rifle (for coyotes attacking cows to skunks), I mean why be unarmed when being chased by a rabid skunk or livestock being killed? I would guess in the city nobody would carry one (since there is no need), only as cosmetic as the poser wearing his cowboy boots without a single scuff or stain from a cowpatty or mud...
I've been carrying all my adult life and have had NO problems with any officer at a traffic stop WHY? I treat them with the respect they deserve and in turn I get it back!! The way I have always seen it is IF I DIDNT BREAK THE LAW I WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN PULLED OVER!!!!
True in most cases. Up until you get one that hates his life is crooked or dirty cop that just needs you give him more. Some people are just assholes and they will do what they want. In my experience cops have treated me as a suspect before they treat me like a law abiding tax paying citizen. I got pulled over for speeding when i had cruise control at 50mph which was posted. Told me he needed to check my car. When i asked why he got all offended. I asked if he had probebal cause and a vehicle search warrent. He said yes. Then i asked for a copy of that warrent. Told me he will give me one later after he searched my car. I told him i am not feel secure in this situation When i called his preciete he just let me go with a warning and he got his car and left. So no i dont trust anybody especially if im minding my own business.
I never argue with an officer on site. I am always polite and cooperative. I greet them with "Food day, officer; how may I help you? Did I do something wrong?" And, I usually have enough time to have my license, registration and insurance papers ready in my left hand, and both hands on the steering wheel, in plain sight. Also, as soon as my vehicle is at a full stop, I turn off the engine so the officer won't think I'm likely to peel out when he approaches. If I have any issues with an officer's behavior, I take it up with a judge in court. In 70+ years, I've only had one officer who was totally Rambo. And, by politely disagreeing with his assertion and explaining why I thought he was wrong; I remained polite and respectful throughout the entire encounter; I was able to beat the ticket in court the next day. Bottom line; officers are exposed to life threatening danger all through their shift. And I have no idea what stresses they have to deal with off duty. So I disarm them with respect, courtesy, and politeness. They usually appreciate a non-threatening demeanor; and usually respond in kind.
Police KNOW what the job is BEFORE they sign on. These are TAXPAYER funded positions. If you are so sensitive that you might shoot a person because of something they SAID you do NOT need to be a police officer.
@@Beesnest2211 Well....if he's like me, I used to get pulled over a few times a year......a tad too fast on limited access highways is all. Never on residential or business streets, no rolling stops, etc. And I drove away from nearly all those stops without a ticket. As the poster above stated, politeness, honesty and respect will go a long way during an encounter. It's not what normally happens to them and it helps them decide you're the one they're giving a break to today.
"Bottom line; officers are exposed to life threatening danger all through their shift." Bullshit. I think it's the 14th most dangerous profession. We don't allow any of the more dangerous professions to get away with shit just because they do a dangerous job. "And I have no idea what stresses they have to deal with off duty." The same stresses the rest of us deal with. If they can't handle stress on or off the job, they shouldn't have a job that involves dealing with people that don't like them very much. There's nothing wrong with cooperating when you know you've done something wrong. On the other hand, there's also no reason to justify their shitty behavior.
Well if Biden shits a miracle and gets in come November, eventually gun laws will be standardized federally. If you have one, you shouldn't. If you still think one of these Commies aren't gonna grab your guns one of these days not far from now, take another drink of your Commie-Kool-Aid.
Is it me? Or when the cop said "there out there looking for infractions" sounds wrong! They should be out there looking to serve and protect, not looking for infractions.that it happens and the cop sees it is one thing. But looking for infractions, thats a problem..sounds like looking for problems.
Agreed, looking for "infractions" is a large part of their job and rightfully so...however it is not the only thing and they unfortunately forget that a lot of the time. It sucks and causes a lot of the issues in the police to civilian interactions, but at the same time the cops are human too and deal with 80% scum bags so that bias just happens naturally. It's like that short while I worked at Autozone I dealt with mostly the scum of where I lived too (drug addicts and the absolute cheapest stringy people ever) and I started to have the same view of people in general until I realized it. Cops just don't usually deal with decent people, that's where this comes from. It is an interestingly human problem that the police need to solve (remembering that most people aren't scum bags even if they seem to always deal with them thus avoiding the guilty until proven innocent mindset), honestly I don't envy the poor saps at the stations that are trying to work on this as a solution is likely not going to be easy. Any cops out there that have any thoughts on this? I'd love to hear some viewpoints from the other side and I imagine it may be helpful for others to see as well. Especially with what's been going on lately.
James M actually in some states you ARE required to notify them if you have a weapon. And you better understand that if you travel to other states. Just because you may not have to tell them according to the law it's still a good idea to do so. Indiana it isn't required but you will have a better day if you do tell them and hand them your permit to them with your driver's license.
In my state you are required to tell the officer you have a weapon if you are pulled over. Our concealed carry class instructor said he was pulled over once and was asked if he had a CC permit (which the officer already knew). He said yes but I am not carrying at the moment. The officer's response was "why not?"

C P um no !!! The forefathers would have said . Go fuck your self . Don’t thread on me . Nothing in the constitution states. We need law enforcement. What the 2nd amendment is for !!!

@@ZacHarYMetaLHiCkBenn Yeah, disband law enforcement so we can have roving warbands all claiming to be "well-regulated militias". Sounds like a lovely idea.
Same here, I try to have my license and insurance in my hand, I roll the windows down (turn the dome light on at night) and I put my hands on the steering wheel. I'm polite. I don't argue. If you want to argue the ticket do it in the courtroom, not on the side of the road. Doing it this way I rarely get ticket and the stop usually on lasts a few minutes.
The shots in the background are the volunteers that didn't comply with officer commands 😂
The classiest statement ever, "I pay my taxes" LOL!!!!
The officer knows you are a concealed weapon holder the moment he runs your plate.

Although I rarely get pulled over ....even having grown up in the land of 10,000 cops... (LA) I have always had my paperwork ready .. windows rolled down and both hands on the steering wheel.. no problems..many times no tickets issued but a warning... lesson here is I do my part to make sure the encounter is safe for both of us... cops appreciate that... yes I get it that some cops can be pricks... but most of the time you can control the encounter by being ready with your paperwork and complying with the officers requests..let the courts decide if the stop was lawful...etc.... and yes I was driving while black the past 41 years🙄...for those still stuck in that way of thinking 🤔
Best reply so far!
You would be dead here in Alabama. Count yourself as lucky.
@@dedman1107 No he wouldn't. Blacks get pulled over in Alabama every day with none of them being shot.
It's not luck that prevents being shot, it's behavior. Yes, we STILL have to deal with the very small number of police who respond incorrectly. It happens to white drivers too.
First, pull the fuck over and don't pretend you don't know why. Just pull the fuck over. Turn off the car AND radio. Roll down the window, both sides. Take the keys and lay them on the dash. Keep your hands palm open on the wheel and don't move them. When asked for documentation explain where it is and ask to reach for them. LEAVE YOUR SEAT BELT ON. "Goodmoring/afternoon/evening Sir/Madam." "Do you know why I stopped you?" Answer honestly. If you know you were speeding, admit it. If you don't know why, say it politiely....and express your concern with the situation. "You have a bad tail light." " I do? Oh man....that's not good....thanks for letting me know." From there he/she may begin fishing for more. If you're dirty they'll figure it out, they do it for a living. But chances are that since you've been polite they won't go there.
Have your documents in order and in one place, registration and insurance in the glove box, DL in your wallet....and know where it is in your wallet, make it the first thing you see in your wallet. Cops hate playing games with idiots too stupid to know where they left their DL.
Honesty, politeness, shit together will do more to reduce charges or allow you to go with a verbal warning than all the games and all the arguments.
Same here even if I was doing something wrong I always respected the cops,Now I live a different life I never get pulled over, If I ever do I will still respect them it's all About respect.
You're lucky to be alive. I'm just kidding, coorpiration will will always help you, despite your race.
Officers usually know if you are carrying before they even get to the drivers side window. If the registered owner of the vehicle has a CCW it will show up on the officers terminal when they run the plate.
Alex is that for all states?
Mostly yes, but it depends more on the software that officers have on their terminals, rather than the state they operate in. For instance, in my state of Washington, officers use "Spillman" which does show CCW's on a RO of a vehicle.
Alex yeah that’s right so they should treat you like a law abiding citizen and not even ask. They don’t hand out CCW to criminals do they no, so they shouldn’t treat u like one. They should know you r a good guy and treat u like one they should think he or she doesn’t hv a criminal background because I
They hv a CCW that’s the most intensive national background check anyone can hv. They r playing game with u if they even ask. They work for me I pay their wages they don’t pay mine.
This is not the case in California. Ccw check out only with a license check. By all agencies.
One word of advice move if u can.
philando castile got stoped for a breaklight, he did just the same as the girl in the video, 3 seconds after he says the word "firearm" the officer shoots him 7 times. Theres full video.

I suppose it was "justified " and no payment. Seen a vid were cop shot an undercover simply bc he had a gun. Six bullet holes netted him nearly six million. Didn't rule that justified, go figure.
Pro-tip: when being pulled-over, before the officer (deputy, whatever) has a chance to get to your vehicle, do the following:
1. If you have power windows, and it isn't raining, roll-down all windows
2. Turn on the dome light
3. Have your license, registration and proof of insurance on the dashboard in front of you
4. Radio (or other noise source) off
5. Place and keep your hands on the steering wheel at 10 and 2 (or 9 and 3, or whatever)
This woman did a couple of those things, but not all. It's a stupid idea to leave dark-tinted windows like that rolled-up, requiring the officer to knock on it.
#3 and #4 I agree with. The rest are ridiculous and in many cases will put a cop on edge that wasn't before.
Sorry not all of us are sheep. I live stream every police encounter and I highly suggest others do as well.Because cops lie,so know your rights. And be stern about it.

This has nothing to do with security, you can't treat people like criminals just because they legally carry guns.

Here in Indiana either and I never do.

If you're a good person legally carrying, there's no reason to mention "out of the blue" that you're carrying. Of course, if asked, you should be honest. But just let the cop write you a ticket or whatever, and the gun is totally irrelevant.
Many states require that you to inform the officer if you're carrying.

I took a firearms course taught by a police officer and he actually said that it's smarter not to mention it unless the officer is going to find it simply because not every officer likes CCW holders and you don't want that to influence getting a ticket vs a warning. This is assuming you're in a state where you ARE NOT required to inform the officer during a stop.
in MN we dont have to tell cops shit, but we have to provide ccw permit along when cops asked for ID and insurance/registration.
But if you're in a "shall inform" state, you have to tell them in accordance with state law.
27lebs there are usually ways around it. In the state in question in the video, if you OC or have the gun in a console, you don’t have to say anything.
Luckily I live in AZ where open of guns and knives are legal
i agree. i dont say shit. i also dont have ccw but thats a different matter. there are a number of police that feel citizens should not be armed and then they get edgy and combative. locally about ten years ago a police officer was yelling and berating ccw holder and officer stated he should blow drivers head off for not disclosing his ccw fast enoughfast enough. with those attitudes i dont disclose but also do not have ccw. i have never been searched so why would police start now unless of course im commiting crime. if im obeying laws and get pulled over there is no reason for search. and if the issue persists i will state that i am open carrying. havent tried that yet but i dont expect to be searched.

@dollarBill dont break the law and you wont get stopped to begin with.lol
Always keep a small gun safe in the vehicle and before you stop lock it up! Make sure it is tethered to the seat frame or some other place and choose a safe with a combination. A key can be taken from you, a combination cannot. Then you don’t have to worry about the serial number being recorded or the officer feeling uneasy.

Most states have laws where the conceal carrier don’t have to tell the officer unless asked about it.
Stupid and maybe shot if you don’t.
ALL gun laws are illegal laws. "Shall not be infringed". Infringed means fucked with.
Tummun. Yep, video full of inaccuracies. Disarming against will is illegal search and seizure. And running the firearm to see if stolen is fishing. They must have probable cause to believe it is stoled and/or used in a crime. At least in my state.

Tax money well spent.

In my state, one do not have to disclose he has a firearm to lawman no matter how you put it down. Filando Castile of Minnesota did disclose to the lawman and was shot dead. In Minnesota, one don’t have to disclose they’re armed. Check your facts. Perhaps, you live one of those commie states.
Anthony Thorp
Some States are worse than others.
I keep my shotgun hanging up in the rear window.
No you don't.
Not in my state where the minute I leave my vehicle unattended, I would be asking for auto theft.
You seem pretty nervous, are you ok? Driver: Yes Sir
Cop: yes sir or yeah sure?
Driver: OH SHIT!!!
It kinda reminds of the scene from "Super Troopers."

I told him i am not feel secure in this situation
When i called his preciete he just let me go with a warning and he got his car and left. So no i dont trust anybody especially if im minding my own business.
You must live in Wonderland! Ask a black male what heppens when he discloses he’s a concealed carry.
I never argue with an officer on site. I am always polite and cooperative.
I greet them with "Food day, officer; how may I help you? Did I do something wrong?"
And, I usually have enough time to have my license, registration and insurance papers ready in my left hand, and both hands on the steering wheel, in plain sight.
Food Day? Are you giving donuts away? If so, let me know where you are! :0

Great job, very informative and professionally done!! Thanks for all your service!!!!!
Only catch, almost every state is different. Wish they would finally just standardize this, maybe in 2021.

It was standardised. In 1791.
People need to listen to this one!! Good video!!
Most important: Never say "I have a GUN."
Adam Yelling it out the window as the cop approaches is a bad idea too

Randy She *points to anus*
James M actually in some states you ARE required to notify them if you have a weapon. And you better understand that if you travel to other states. Just because you may not have to tell them according to the law it's still a good idea to do so.
Indiana it isn't required but you will have a better day if you do tell them and hand them your permit to them with your driver's license.
In Utah, they wont ask and your not required to tell them.
Same in PA.
That is the way it should be.
Same in Washington but if they ask yes sir is the right answer
In my state you are required to tell the officer you have a weapon if you are pulled over. Our concealed carry class instructor said he was pulled over once and was asked if he had a CC permit (which the officer already knew). He said yes but I am not carrying at the moment. The officer's response was "why not?"
