    I drink one cup of this mixture every day in the evening in the winter months if I have a cold and continue to drink it for 3 days after my cold clears. However, I use a lot more garlic and ginger and I crush them to get all the juice out. I also use Manuka Honey which is a bit expensive but it has antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. DO NOT however put the honey into a boiling cup, wait for the tea to cool down a little before putting the honey in.

    Can it lower cholesterol??

    • @laurafordesvideos
      @laurafordesvideos  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, ginger, garlic, and lemon tea may help support lower cholesterol levels. Each ingredient has compounds with potential heart-healthy benefits:
      1. Ginger contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, which can support cardiovascular health and may help reduce total cholesterol and LDL (“bad”) cholesterol.
      2. Garlic is rich in allicin, a compound shown to lower LDL cholesterol and support blood vessel health. Consuming garlic regularly has been associated with reduced cholesterol levels and may also help lower blood pressure.
      3. Lemon is high in vitamin C and antioxidants, which support heart health. Its soluble fiber, pectin, can also assist in reducing cholesterol absorption when taken in higher amounts (more so from whole lemons than juice alone).
      When combined in tea, these ingredients may provide a gentle, complementary effect, but for significant cholesterol reduction, dietary and lifestyle changes are generally needed. Regularly drinking this tea may support your overall health, but check with your doctor if you’re looking to manage cholesterol specifically.
