Ow My Feelings v2.0 from Bulb's demos. This is his own work aside from Periphery. Probably my favorite version of all the ones they have. Periphery has much more in store for us in the future. But this one of their good demos that i love to listen to everyday. You can also check them out on their myspace and facebook pages at:

Update: this demo is still as legendary as it was many years ago. Lets thank Misha for his service.
04:37 - 05:37 Makes me feel like God is speaking to my soul. It even makes me tear up :)
same thing
These guys were fucking awesome last night in Brissy. I hope the other states have just as good a show cause man...it was like...way too good.
honestly if you guys are true periphery fans, you would love anything they make regardless if you like spencer or not.
Awesome song, everything about it rules. All the melodies, rhythms and ambiency bits go together so well.
Misha programmed all his drums before periphery, he's got some serious talent!
Still programs all the demos and writing process with programmed drums! Dudes a machine
Does ANYB0DY know..?
This is an older 2009 version. Which is PERFECT.
The redone album one is horrible compared to this. Absolutely. Well wherever you grabbed this hostile26, L0VE IT. Great upload.
Cheers !!
I've been listening to this band since '06. Played shows with them when Jake Veridika was their vocalist and Misha was their drummer.
What about now ? You still listen to them
Great band I love pretty much everything they do, hopefully they get as popular as Messugah!!
That comment did age well haha
@Cjrizzle I like the fact that every time you listen to a song, because its so 'random' its like listening to it for teh first time, you don't know whats next.
The intro is unbelievably amazing.
yeah love everysingle one of there songs, been listening to periphery since 06' and they finally have an album. thank god!
@hostile26 I hear you on that. I've been a Meshuggah fan for years, & I stumbled upon Bulb a while back searching to see if anyone has been further exploring polyrhythmic prog-metal. "Serious Business" had me hooked.
@MajkeTiTvoje Always bro. Gotta love perpetual black seconds.
god there monster guitar tone makes my throat clinch!
i love periphery!
@Stelthbanana Yeah, I don't see why people hate on him. His range is spectacular!
AMAZING! Can't wait to see them in Australia.
Yup, danish band Mnemic.. Been around since early 2000's.. They are releasing their fourth album soon entitled Sons of The System...
@MindOfPagan It's not just the high-ness. He constantly sounds like he's straining. It makes my throat hurt out of empathy alone.
@iamthemovie42 I saw them last month also at the Whiskey in LA. That show was fucking insane and amazing to watch.
@treppy666
singer actually grew on me. love it. I hope you gave it a chance.
This song is just so fucking great.
I am so looking forward to the album!
@Khaos427 Yea I never really was a Meshuggah fan. I've always been into metalcore. I found out about Periphery when I went to a Thrash Burn Concert in LA a year ago. Followed them ever since.
So Periphery is without a doubt one of the best bands around. The best djent metal (or whatever you want to call the genre, like it matters) around and one of the coolest sounding mothers out there
djent metal = 'djental' ... as in, "I'd really like to listen to some soothing, djental music right now."
@Cjrizzle Yeah man I have the Arkaea album, its awesome stuff.
I'll have to pick up the Sybreed disk.
Seeing Lamb of God and Fear Factory in Feb XD Will be immense.
Wow, this song is great.
I am a more instrumental guy so I do like the instrumental stuff by periphery but the vocals in this one actually reveal some interesting haronies that you don't get in the instrumental.
@snowboardingfreak94 yea ur right i played some cloudkicker for this guy at work and all he listens to is dubstep and he loved it instantly
Words cant explain how much i love this band their fucking sick !
I listen to the versions with vocals and the instrumentals. Both are good. Stop hating Spencer, kids.
If you guys didn't know already, Periphery will be releasing their EP titled Icarus on April 19th... I can't wait
@treppy666 they do have an instrumental CD of their album that you can buy, and you can always check out Periphery's and Bulb's demos over the internet
@Cjrizzle Sybreed are damn awesome. Take The Red Pill and Re-Evolution are epic tunes.
I never liked Periphery at first, I found them hard to get into the groove, but I'm probably going to pick up the album once it comes out. Bulb is a bit of a genius.
@nwawallace Actually, I can say with absolute certainty that Periphery had full control of the writing process, and that all the songs on the release were unjaded by record companies... because the record companies are only signed for distribution, and that was after the album was recorded...
@allenhalligan yea dude you can totally tell especially from what the high hat and snare are doing most of the itme
Periphery Update: New album teaser now up on their myspace. It sounds amazing by the way. Album should be coming out sometime in April. Make sure to check it out. There's only a bright future ahead for these guys.
Meanwhile they're still current 10 years later but only because they shilled hard by adding Spencer as a vocalist.
IMO this band's music has suffered a great blow by adding vocals.
I am glad they're successful though considering how talented they are. They deserve every bit of success they get.
This is the best version of this song! Its on a (2004-2008) 100 song album, You must check out Bulbs unfinished "Ultimatum".
Keep music pure, keep vocalists in choir.
Other bands with little to no vocals: AAL, Irepress, mogwai, hammock etc!
@auroravegas damn the sounded fucking DOPE!!!! if you have more bands like them man send them my way brotha
@rtxeledhel There's an instrumental version of their entire CD on iTunes.
@meatballsub666 lol ya thanks i do know that, but its (Misha) Bulb's solo projects that have pretty much made periphery. So yes, Periphery is pretty much Bulb. thanks again for the obvious comparison between Bulb and Periphery.
@WolfWiri12 It's Technical/Progressive. This is pretty much all I listen to.
Cloudkicker
Seven
Animals As Leaders
Kraeft
Vildhjarta
Keith Merrow
Travis Montgomery
Uneven Structure
And many, many more. Look up one Myspace and you'll find them all.
Good jam!
@YMRGUITAR that's okay, that was only one small example of ways their music may change sound or style and not apply to "pirephery's Biggest fan" if you read the entire thread there would be plenty that is quite simply impossible to argue against.
@MickeyLWalker you know about chon? wow i didnt think anyone knew about them but i am in love with them. they are so talented
That song is fucking awesome! I can't stop listening it!
The real ones are here in 2024.
Yes we are!
WOW the groove of this song! yummerz =D
@STONEAJE i totally agree with this. the arusha accord are probably the most technically proficient band around at the moment. though AAL and periphery are sick as. i can't say i'm a fan of the collabs with casey sabol though
@MattMahoneyDrums well this version was updated in 2008, so it was either Travis or maybe Misha might have programmed the drums. it definitely wasn't matt tho
imagine you've been listening to bulbs music since '08.........I've been going nuts over this cd coming out........also check out Haunted Shores (bulb project), OMNOM (bulb Project), Friend for a foe, red seas fire and Chimp Spanner
@JesskaRed i saw them live a couple months ago... and trust me, it was nutz
@allenhalligan meshuggahs drummer does some good pollyrhyths though so itll be in 4/4 and say.. 7/4 at the same time.. like toward the end of future breed machine. i wouldnt be suprised if periphery do that as well. havent listened to them enough yet
@Stelthbanana The guy above you stated that incorrectly (unless things have changed), but if you get the deluxe edition which would be in a paper fold, it is supposed to come with the instrumental. You must have gotten the regular one. But, the instrumental album is still worth the money if you can't take the vox!
@7Kiymaira7 its not really really the same, bulb is the guitarist (misha) with his own solo project. periphery is the band.
no way this dont need any vocals..this is perfect
the most bad ass riff ever!!
I like instrumental Periphery, and full Periphery. I love Spencer's voice, and his screams, and I like also being able to listen to the riffs without the distraction of vocals. Everyone should just stop fucking whining about the vocals and be more open minded.
I memorized ALL the lyrics to this song!!
Freekin' record stores out here don't have it, yet??? Insane planet SF CA USA!!?!
This is highly reminiscent of something off Meshuggah's Catch-33. Good sh!t.
They haven't leaked anything out yet about when the album comes. You can follow them though on their myspace page. The link is in the info.
@DGKrew00 Thank you...
fuuuuuuucking awesome!!
@MickeyLWalker ah, thank you kind sir
YEA... thumbs up for 100,000 and periphery
@summitthescale i haven't seen the deluxe version in stores at all... thats why i put the comment below
these guys are gona be HUGE fuck i love it
Nice Boolb . . . .
@koranae I've seen the instrumental CD at a Best Buy... it has the black front cover instead of the white. In should be in other stores also, or you can just order it online
@SavingEverySecond click on the soundclick link in the description. Then look at the description of how he made the song on that page
@7Kiymaira7
well, this solo is most about the drums as an exerption
@hostile26 Well, since mistamontiel hasn't replied, I'll take the liberty of saying, "Hell yes, I would like that link. Thank you." I'm sure the response would be similar.
@hostile26 They are mathcore, progressive and experimental.. or something like that haha
I'm sorry if my english isn't right
2:27 sick riff
@nwawallace lol. okay you got me there. i stand corrected, it's just i personally have liked everything Periphery has put out.
You know you're doing something wrong when you have a 137k views video, over 500 likes, but only 34 subscribers haha.
Yes, Meshuggah has probably done a lot for Periphery.
But yes, you understod me exactly! :D
@7Kiymaira7 yeah since all of bulbs songs are periphery songs.
Periphery's EP Icarus just came out today... check it out and download it on itunes
@4whitesharpEz
ya they are great
@WolfWiri12 It's starting to get the nick-name "Djent," because of the sound of the guitars.
Experimental / progressive / atmospheric grandeur has a new name from now on : PERIPHERY!
@Stelthbanana the instrumental CD and regular CD are sold separately... they dont come together:
White Cover = Regular CD
Black Cover = Instrumental CD
@4855712 all their demos are pretty sick
@charvinaldo Like the Djenty breakdown @ 2:48, this part sounds empty without the vocals. The rest is good but yeah man, I know what you mean.
@WolfWiri12 Roughly it's progressive metal, but if you want to get a clear definition I'd consider it some kind of Math Metal/Tech Metal
If you want more music like this to listen to, try Meshuggah and TesseracT
this makes me think of life in the city
afaik u can get just about all of his stuff free (other htan the album..) on soundclick.. google soundclick bulb u should find this available for download
no offense to spencer, but periphery lives because of the wickedly talented musicians in the band... i bought the instrumental LP and the vocal one too... but i listen to the instrumental one a lot more :D
@hostile26 seriously? maybe it was just an opening week thing or something. i pre-ordered mine, but it was also sold at hot topic. whatever though, obviously it's not being sold anymore!
When you go see Periphery live, see if you can get a “Myy dog is verry nice.” chant going before they start to play…
I'm glad I get to listen to such good music, omg lolol :pppp :DD
@DGKrew00 I'll give ya Thumbs up on that
@hostile26 YES please.
I JUST got into Periphery with this old masterpiece right here. So damn accurate !! Perfection !! Sure, please PM me I beg of you great sir.
@xcardboardbox its just a video tag for a link to one of my other videos... check them out
@kikdynthhed I know what you mean. Obviously the music I create is going to sound similar to all the bands I like to listen to. It doesn't mean I am trying to rip them off, it means I like them so damn much and the music they create I want to create similar music, that is how much they have influenced me.
@R4v3n3X it is in the description
@itcrysmascara Unless it's periphery...You have to admit, the vocals do add harmony and melody to the music.
@medical8077 i can give you the link to download all 100 of their demos from 2004 til now... it includes bulb's demos and periphery demos with old singers
Music for us Djentlemen.
