- A giant poster quoting a Google dictionary definition of the word 'woman' has been removed from a wall in Liverpool.
The poster read: “Woman, women, noun, adult human female.”
According to one activist, it qualified as "hate speech" and was deemed "dangerous" for transgender women.
Dr Adrian Harrop campaigned for the poster's removal and Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull of the women's rights organisation 'Standing for Women' was behind the poster.

I love how a man explains how offensive the definition of a women is to two women.
I'm a woman and I find this woman offensive.
Terri MacKay why? Because she doesn’t fall into line? I’m not a feminist, and I have no problem with trans people. What I do have a bit of a problem with is the very definition of woman being so triggering. These TERF feminists are obviously not going to accept trans women as women. I’m happy to welcome trans women, but not at the cost of my free speech and the right to have an opinion. The definition of woman should not be triggering. It’s getting ridiculous.

Being a Woman is more than just a word. After growing up in a sexist world through the 80's and 90's I NEVER would have thought that rapists and women haters/abusers would demand that Women not be allowed to be called Women....

He was accused of using his account between May 2018 and November 2019 to post tweets that were “offensive and/or insulting and/or inappropriate in nature”. The case was brought by the General Medical Council, which effectively regulates medical practitioner standards in the UK.
The tribunal could have potentially ended with Harrop having his name erased from the medical register, which would have barred him from practising medicine. However, he will now be able to resume his work as a GP in Liverpool, and return to his job providing trans healthcare, after completing the one-month suspension.'

Gender critical views (aka sanity) are protected under the equality act thanks to Maya Forstater. Major sporting bodies have said no to men in women’s sports. This was when I first got called a TERF and told “go educate yourself”. I was devastated having fought for LGB rights and considered myself an allie. 3 years on… I’m a member of STANDING FOR WOMEN and PROUD to be called a TERF!

The term TERF is over used so much to silence discussion and debate that it no longer has any meaning related to prejudice of any kind. I'm certainly no feminist but have had the term used towards me simply for stating extablished biological fact.

I'd say that anything becomes a problem when people start to make it their whole persona - I saw in an anonymous caravaners guestbook someone just putting the fact that they were trans, and it just seems weird. What am I, the recipient of that information supposed to do? Does it make the writer of that note more of a woman, does it make me, or her a better person? And of course, it extends to other obsessive types, e.g: gymbros, vegans, any critical theorist, and it just seems absurd and as if it is being forced down your throat. crazy ppl.
