iako tsuki is a punch with the opposite fist from the leg you have infront. ex. I stand with my left foot infront. so i hit with my right hand. it can be done in stance.I did lots of tournaments and street fights aswell. i saw that in my normal stance moving my left foot deeper into the enemies guard and striking with the right hand while twisting the hips shoulder and all would give me an extra amount of power to knock them out by striking solar plexus. (no air) but it is easily countered.
With the right timing it should work. just above the knee where he pushes is an very weak point in the leg. althought it requires more power to get the other actually out of balance with a 50-50 stance as example
if you do not stand as wide i guess in an exchange of hits would be a great oportunity to practice this and you practice jiujitsu so your comrades will be really close to you. I guess this sensei applies the technique to this type of martial art. it is up to you to recreate it to fit your technique. XD its very fun experimenting with new techniques to fit different styles.
