Venom is so refreshingly different from the Marvel universe. Pure light-hearted fun.
I was annoyed when someone replied to my positive reaction to venom on a different movie channel (for intellectual audience) that venom appeals to people whose level is Fast and Furious. Very dumb response. A really intelligent person is not defined by which movies they like, but what they take out of it. Sometimes, even an intelligent person just wants to relax and laugh their butts off to a harmless movie (or enjoy pure adrenaline with Fast and Furious, though i recommend Mad May Fury Road).

I have never heard the relationship between Eddy and Venom being described as an "Odd couple, bros but maybe they're into each other dynamic" though very accurate.

I'm excited to see it. I know the Venom movies might not be great, but they're so much fun and sometimes it feels like there aren't many options for pure fun these days. I appreciate that about them.

While thought provoking well-written films are quite nice (and seemingly rare these days), there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a fun check-your-brain-at-the-door flick.

It's so refreshing to see people acknowledge people's ability to like what they like while simultaneously acknowledging that liking something does NOT make it good. Few things frustrate me more than when people refuse to acknowledge any valid criticism of something they like. I think there's different ways of rating anything.

Absolutely. For instance, I have a soft spot in my heart for the Paul W Anderson Resident Evil films. I am well aware they’re bad movies for the most part, but for some reason I still like them. Maybe it was because I didn’t become a fan of the games until after I’d seen the first film, I don’t know, but yeah. You can like something while knowing it’s bad, and still acknowledge that it’s bad, and nobody needs to get mad about it.

Haven't seen it yet, but as someone who LOVED the previous films for the (b)romance between Venom and Eddy - and couldn't be bothered by the lacking plot/action (similar case as with Deadpool & Wolverine) - I'm pretty optimistic, to get what I want!~ XD

I haven't seen any of the Venom movies yet... which is surprising, seeing as I have the BIGGEST crush on Tom Hardy. Both the negative and positive sides of this review have convinced me that I do, in fact, need to watch them.
Keep up the awesome work, guys! The work you're putting in noticeable, and I love to see it ❤.

I have a crush on Tom Hardy, too, and funnily enough, I haven’t noticed that Venom existed (probably, because I live in a different reality, not so much into mainstream culture). It was an accident that my bestie and i went to the cinema around Halloween to pick a random movie. Venom 2, because we saw a monster on the advertising, during the movie i was excited to see Tom Hardy enter the screen, and then we enjoyed a sweet buddy movie instead of a horror movie.

    • @SaucyJTD

@crystalward1444 I was, indeed, mildly upset with the ending of This is War lol. I did appreciate how they edited and wrote the movie so that either option felt like a valid progression, though. It's been ages since I've watched that movie... I'm gonna have to rewatch it soon now haha.

    • @SaucyJTD

@@SaucyJTD Thank you! ☺️ We are actually like Eddie and Venom. Very different personalities, but complementing another. 🥰
What i don’t understand about her: she doesn’t see how hot Tom Hardy is. She‘s totally immune to him. (Though this is what a bestie should be: not crushing on the same man. 😆)

Everytime I watch a Venom movie, I am always so distracted by this one, simple thought rattling around in my brain: "Wow, it'd really hurt if Venom ever accidentally bit down on that massive, bulbous, slithery, slimy tongue with those big-ass, dagger-like fangs."
Also, I think you guys should come with a more unique, less arbitrary ranking system. For example, I rank movies on a scale of The Dark Knight to Batman and Robin, the premise being that every live action Batman movie is on a separate tier of quality.
    Dark Knight
    The Batman
    Batman Begins
    Batman (1989)
    Dark Knight Rises
    BvS
    Batman Returns
    Batman Forever
    Batman and Robin
Every movie to ever exist is on equal footing with one of these films. This one, unfortunately, is a Batman Forever.
