Yes 20 to 80 is great, you can do 10 or 15 to 85, but around 20 to 80% not always every time and 1ce in 7 charges move the electrons all the way to 100 to flow that top 20% juice. Wi-Fi charging heats more and is slower, fast cable cahrgin doesn't harm the battery at all, as this guy didn't give temperature examples and how long the battery stay at given temperature with slow and fast. On Android I have measured Wats, how the controller manages good temperature limited to 39-40C max and the higher the percentage the colder it gets, but you get to 80 in minutes, so you are not harming more then slow, maybe the same but charging 4-5 times faster and maybe even more healthy.

You get a USB-C to Lightning cable in the box anyways (I assume for switching from Android to iOS), so you can use a USB-C brick to charge your phone. Most Android phones have a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box, so getting this brick is extremely convenient.
you talked about to use mfi certified cables, but should it be the same for the chargers? Because I am using an anker charger and as I know it is not mfi certified. Is it still ok or it is better to use another brand?
Hi Karl, sorry for the late reaction. Good question. There is no MFI certified program for chargers, so you can use anyone, but I would still stick to the bettrer known brands
Factual is showing how much degrees the batt. controller allows the battery to reach and does it get even colder getting in the higher percentage like my 67W android. If the slow charge is keeping 32C for 2h+, and my Android is pulling 50, themn 40, then 30Watts meanwhile keeping the temp limited at 39C and when I get to higher as 70% it starts getting cooler, if I push it to 90 and 100 at the lat 5 the watts are not 40W, not even 4W (in the top percentage) and then batt. temp is not capped at 39C but 28C. So which one is better? I know my answer dealingwith Android, but for iPhone I would like to see some numbers, I am pretty confident they will manage in the same way, which would mean fast is not going to wear more than slow(need facts though, I have 1200 charges, maybe 500 cycles on one flagship Android with "claimed 67W)- so far it has been doing great for 1,5years.

Otherwise I save my save £30 on having to pay for an iPhone charger🤣
Great! I don't charge my iPhone overnight, I like to keep an eye on it so if something goes wrong I can immediately unplug it. 10:28, Apple in New York City told me my battery replacement for my iPhone 11 would cost me $100 as opposed to the $69 you mentioned. Does this have to do with the labor charge for the install in addition to the cost of the battery?
I think so mate. They told me a replacement battery for iPhone 8 would be £69, so that’s prolly the base price without the extra service/fitting charge. Instead of doing this, I just got a used (like new) iPhone 11 pro. Safe to say it was well worth the upgrade! Battery is much better too.

I’m new to iPhone and have been an Android user since smart phones came out (I’m not a hater, lol. Getting used to Apple and have been pleasantly surprised with the 16 Pro Max). Great phone so far and is getting better as I figure out the foreign OS. I appreciate this video because I don’t want to fry my new phone by connecting it directly to a source that could power a Cybertruck in 20 mins or less, lol. Thank you for posting this!! One caveat to this video, and if this was a sponsor, I get the hustle, but there is no such thing as “vegan leather”. I mean, call it what you may, but it is “pleather”, plain and simple. This new term is misleading and totally untrue as if there WAS such a thing, it couldn’t be called leather as leather comes from animal hides. It’s either a vegan phone case or pleather, and why they would even combine the two word is an insult to vegans or trickery to people like me that enjoy real leather. Marketing garbage to make more money out of a les-than-par product. Just tell it as it is, plastic that is made to (loosely) resemble leather that is sold at the cost of leather for dollars on the penny. Why would a vegan (if they really hate the animal thing) want a product that resembles animal hide, and why would someone that likes leather want plastic that resembles the same?? This product technically shouldn’t attract anyone unless the price was below the expectations of vegans or leather lovers…. Bet it isn’t! Anyways, not a poke at you. Great video otherwise. I just cannot stand marketing ploys, especially when they make absolutely no sense, cost more than the alternatives and if you really think about it, have no audience outside of shady wordsmithing… Cheers!

You get a USB-C to Lightning cable in the box anyways (I assume for switching from Android to iOS), so you can use a USB-C brick to charge your phone. Most Android phones have a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box, so getting this brick is extremely convenient.
Hey , i have been charging my new 14 pro max with the 67 watt macbook adapter from last 20 days. Do you guys think it damaged my battery ?
Well, iPhone allows only 27W, so it does not use 40 in your case. Because of the iPhone system used it does not damage your battery
you talked about to use mfi certified cables, but should it be the same for the chargers? Because I am using an anker charger and as I know it is not mfi certified. Is it still ok or it is better to use another brand?
Hi Karl, sorry for the late reaction. Good question. There is no MFI certified program for chargers, so you can use anyone, but I would still stick to the bettrer known brands
Anker is a trusted brand.
Thank you for being factual about the charging speed and magsafe with heat :)
My pleasure!
Please respond, is it actually safe to charge over night or does it smart- charge throught then night???
It is very safe to charge over night
I got a multi port charger off Amazon. Two 65w ports 3 30w those all type c then 3 type a 20w ports. Paired with a u green 240w cable and 3 braided Apple cables
I’m going to get an iPhone 15 pro and I don’t know if it’s worth getting a 2m charger as my 2020 macbook air that I got this year has a usb-c to usb-c so I could just use that which is 2m, but not use the brick which the macbook came with and use my iPhone charger brick (i have the iPhone 15 currently which is ucb-c to lighting) so I just want know if can I use my iPhone charging brick with my macbook charger or will that damage the iPhone battery? Otherwise I save my save £30 on having to pay for an iPhone charger🤣
Great! I don't charge my iPhone overnight, I like to keep an eye on it so if something goes wrong I can immediately unplug it. I For me it depends on the iPhone model, the iOS version and the adapter being use IMO. I have an shortcut automation to alert me when my iPhone hits > 80% battery already so I can unplug it. I have intermittent sleep by the way.
Great tip!
@Dion Schuddeboom
Can you please suggest some mfi verified charging cables for overnight charging with 5w chargers?
Spot on, exactly what I try'n do except @ night I'll plug it into an ol' USB port on a tv or elsewhere w/super-slow "½ watt" charging😉👍
Is it ok to charge it with the MacBook Air charger? I was thinking about that so I just carry 1 charger
i need a suggestion bro, when i charge my 14 pro max with 5 watt apple adapter, the adapter hit to much but not hit my phone-. is it safe and normal?
I don't recall which video was it .but a guy used a thermal camera to show that 5watt charging brick gets super hot.
Interesting, do not know that video
better the 5w block gets hot rather than the phone itself
Is it okay to use other smartphone brands charger for overnight charging??? (5 or 10Watt charger Adaptor)
yes
I am getting serious chills just looking at your iPhone hanging from the lanyard 😅 06:00
:)
Battery for my iPhone 11 would have been $100 but for my Apple Care. It cost me $0 so Apple Care paid for itself.
Thank you. However I got a brand new 14 pro 6 days ago and i watched the battery go down from 100% to 98% could it be the 5G i use? I don’t use wifi…
hey man! im thinking you probably won't see this at this point, but i cannot find ANY helpful info on this. my MagSafe charges my phone RIDICULOUSLY too slow. i bought the ESR MagSafe with the kickstand on Amazon. i have a feeling its the box adapter thing that im using with it, which is the 20w (i think?) standard Apple one that used to come with the 11 & 12 phones.
any advice? is there something i could be doing wrong?! THANK YOU 🖤🖤
hi Danny, not sure if I get your question, but wireless is substantially slower than wired.
Thanks for this informative video and updating us on the various myths like charging overnight is bad for your phone.
I’m confused . I only need to buy a brick and then plug in the lightning cable into it to charge via slow charging ?
And please put a link for the 5 Watt ….I don’t know what exactly I’m supposed to be typing in to buy the 5W brick .
I want to slow charge my iPhone for overnight .
you are correct, the 5 watt charger (to be used for overnight charging) should do the trick. You just need a proper cable and connect the two. Should not be a probleem
@@DionMedia thanks . Seems though it’s kind of hard to find online the 5 watt bricks .
Also , what do you suggest we clean the connectors with ? Is it safe to clean it with alcohol wipes ?
If i will use 5w wireless charger is it will be safe? For daily overnight charging
Im have brandnew iphone 11 .powermac gives me 30W anker adapter.i noticed some heating as i charge . Should i switch to lower 20watts?
Depends a bit on the heating, but lower in general is a good approach
super helpful videos recently:) you really helped with my decision what what Apple Watch to buy and then what screen protector. I need a new charger soon and this is perfect! Thanks so much:)
my pleasure
I use MagSafe to charge my phone. That way I don’t ever have to deal with lightning. The 14 Pro and Pro Max support up to 27 watts
Say I dont wanna charge overnight.. So can I use my Iphone 7 charger for Iphone 13??.. Or does it effect the battery life of 13..
So happy if found this video so helpful, exactly what I was looking for
Thank you for the charging tips…👍
Is it ok if i use a samsung 25w brick charger on my 15 pro?? Thanks
Yes, it’ll take advantage of it as it supports up to 27W.
I notice a difference I can feel with my iphone 12. even with slow charging it heats up when charging above 85% now.
Thanks for sharing
Love your videos, always informative and different with others. Otsukaresamadeshita!
Happy to hear that!
Could i use a 20W overnight still tho and be fine?
Yes, you can, but for battery life the low Wattage of 5 is my best recommendation
I had used 20 watt charger for my i phone 13 pro
It has been year now and the battery has gone to 88 percentage
So will u recommend it??
At least, now I know how to charge an iPhone even though I use a Samsung. My extra tip is making it cool while charging will let it charge faster.
Im using a 30w for my iphone 14
U think that okay?
Hi Pierre, it is not not ok, but a bit lower is better for your battery life
@@DionMedia yet u said 67watt is ok for someone using same iphone 14,you are contradicting😢😢😢
@@kwamesarpong41 he doesn't no what he's talking about
Great tips, Dion! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Eduardo, thanks for the compliment!
Is it safe to use third party adapters?
I just cannot stand marketing ploys, especially when they make absolutely no sense, cost more than the alternatives and if you really think about it, have no audience outside of shady wordsmithing…
Cheers!
I have wireless iPhone megsafe charger that attaches like a magnet to the iPhone but it charges so slow!
Samsung TAVER ADAPTER Wireless
Thank Dear
ok
Very helpful. Thanks for the video Dion
Glad it was helpful!
Bro my battery health is 91 percent after 15 month use on iphone 14 .i charge it on my iPad fast adapter it gets over heating and degrading my battery health. Should i charge it on 5 watt charger because i have no worries for fast charging ??
Sir , can i charge my iphone 15 overnight with optimise battery chargering option??
Is it best for my iPhone's battery life ?
Thank you man, very informative video 👏
Glad it was helpful!
i swear cheap ones charge a lot faster. however it may broke easily than orignals
Yeah but get very hot I used it once with my iPhone 13 never again
Hola from Winter Park Colorado! You have read my mind with this video!!!
:)
If i charge my 15 base with the macbook 67watt charger ,is it going to impact the battery health ?
Hi, it will not destroy your phone or so, but if you are concerned about long term battery health, then go for a low watt charger. For more details see the video
Where can you buy those chargers that you’re using?
Online
@@aidentamgamer I can’t find that one online. Can you link it perhaps?
I didn’t know that so my iPhone 15 will stop charging by itself. I don’t have to unplug it. And I’ll also guys just buy a new battery. Keep the same phone and buy a new battery. They’re like $100 depending on the phone that you have or you can get a cheaper somewhere. 😅
I’m using a 20w charger is it okay?
I love this big man! 🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻.
With 20w charger..using usb c..u need 72 mins from 0-100%. And from 20% to 80% only need 45 mins. So actually i never charge mine overnight. Because i only need 45 mins or less to charge my iphone. I charge it at 9pm. Before 10 already reach 80%. Then i sleep. In the morning usually less 1-2% only. So its okay for me. 😊
My battery % on 13 pro max dropped from 99 to 88 in just 5 months is it normal? I use it verry actively yeah but also charge it in a smart way from 20-30-80 and if I leave it for the night it happens verry rare.. Also I use original charger IdK how original it is its written on the brick designed by apple in california also on the cable but yeah still not sure about it's originality"
Hi, that is on the high side. You can check your brick on its authenticy at the Apple store or buy from them directly. Best is to charge at low watt, through cable connection
Great tips love this! Just got my iphone 16 pro!
As always, very helpful and informative content.
Thanks
I upgraded from the s9+ to the iPhone 14 pro and im dissapointed,on my s9+,there is software option for fast charge and cable charge,so during the night,i toggle on cable charge which charges the phone slowly, fast charging it toggled on when i need a quick top up,dissapointed these options isnt in the iphone.
How about 12W charger? I believe there in the middle of slow and fast charger
That is fine, but when you are not in a hurry, the lower the better
Thank You!, this is exactly the info that i needed 🔥
Glad it was helpful!
My iPhone 13 Pro is at 88% battery life I use a 30 watt usb c cable idk if that’s okay I’m gonna upgrade next year
Sounds very ok to me
Is it true you are doing giveaway for selected subscribers?????
For all subscribers as long as they meet the criteria I set out in the beginning. So far the winners of the giveaway come from Asia, North America and Europe. Best, Dion
@@DionMedia you replied to my comment that I've won, what are the terms and conditions,im from Ghana
ah, that is a scam. There are unfortunately scammers (criminals) around who impersonate me and tell people do won something. Then they have to pay upfront etc. Please do not fall for this. I will NEVER ask any money from my subscribers. Thanks and greetings to all in Ghana. Dion
Does charging everytime to 100% degrades the battery?
Yes, that’s why 80% charging limits exist. 20-80 is the healthiest range.
Dion, We need a updted video for 2024.
I always use 10W or less , 5W day-to-day, and it lasts all day
What type of iPhone lasts all day, from doing what, not using it?
@@worldview730 mine 13 pro max lasts all day with average using. I charge it only at night with 5W.
I have a 30 wat battery for my iphone 15
Very helpful 👍
Glad you think so!
WHY is everyone so obsessed with keeping their iphone battery from degrading, you can just change it once its fully degraded and its frly cheep. get over it there is other more imp things to worry about in life
That in itself is true
How do I restore sound to an Android phone
Is it okay to leave a phone on charge overnight?
Hi Carlos, no problem but preferably on a low Watt
