this has single handedly convinced me to start rewatching house md. god i love wilson. hes just so numb to house's nonsense after prolonged exposure while everyone else is so baffled
House is a show I love but I can honestly say I’ve never watched it all the way through. I always found it to get a bit samey. They get a patient, dr’s think it’s some obscure disease they treat for that disease and it makes the patient worse which then means it has to be the other really obscure illness.
@@matttv94 I agree on that, but that's true with almost all TV series. Take crime shows: 1) reason of death is clear and perpetrator is obvious. 2) but wait! A detective or lab worker finds an intricate clue (mostly by looking at data flashing and beeping on an extremely unergonomic transparent monitor) . 3) the correct culprit is deviously tricked to stay in touch and be proven guilty😁. The thing that makes this stand out is the dialog and characters, what disease the patient of the day has is irrelevant to me😁
@@matttv94 its all about the b-plots, the main plot is literally designed to be samey its a medical format show like ER. I think its worth watching the character arcs if you like watching the show. If you dont like the show format or the characters then yeah its pointless to watch any further.
In the 'I love cows' scene, why do I think House took out his vicodin not to take it, but to count what he had left just to check if he might have taken a bit too much earlier and was now hallucinating. :)
There’s just something really funny about house just stabbing foreman with a vaccine without him realizing, and just the superimposed what the hell. This..this is a masterpiece
It wasn't a vaccine , they had a patient that bit foreman in the arm , house was testing to see if foreman can feel pain , he suspected he caught the illness from a patient ( and was right )
If ur talking about 1:52 then that wasn't a vaccine it was actually a way to test foramens pain sensation in that area cuz that's where he got bit by a woman who had rabies and house was just testing his theory :D
House examining little kids with their parents is always SO damn cute. They're pure, unadulterated by being conditioned to lie by society. They call it like they see it. And so does he.
In House's thinking parents ruin their children, so if they are in the hospital it is more likely to be an overreaction of the parents unless they are admitted, and even then once he missed a case of " children ruined by their parents because of their overprotection"
I read that the casting director said he would only cast an actual American, so Hugh Laurie sent in his audition tape pretending to be actually American, and the show runners didn't find out he wasn't until he was on set. Not sure how true it is given the casting team would surely look him up before casting him, but it's still funny to imagine
Wilson feels like the embodiment of any friend who works in the medical field, and being asked about what happened that day... Perfect numbness to everything.
It's amazing how much the tone and atmosphere of a lot of these scenes changes when you take out the dramatic music stings and replace them with the music used in this video
Same, I watched a Bit of Fry and Laurie for the first time after I had finished House and realized that a lot of the comedy in it is just Hugh Laurie being himself

I love how House's reputation for being an ass is so vast that when his cane breaks, not a single person tries to help him up, they just laugh or go about their business.
The fact that Foreman, who challenges House and calls him crazy the most, trusts him enough to look away and let him keep holding his hand up without questioning it until he realizes House stabbed him
The producers said "let's make a drama" and Hugh Laurie said "comedy, take it or leave it".
That was his bread-and-butter after all, usually with characters who aren't the smartest people in the room.
