    Beautiful! And I'm happy that you showed us how to use less buttercream, I saw these ( lovely) cakes with very thick layers of buttercream also.

    Gets white from whipping the butter long enough and not using any of or much dark flavorings. Great post.. Soo cute. Thx

    A fault line forms where two tectonic plates are acting against each other. It’s cause the ground to crack and shift. That’s where the fault line name comes from.

    The cake is simply beautiful! The thought of eating flowers, though, turns me off. So, if I had a piece of this cake, the flowers would stay on the plate. Wow, what a cake!

    I'm trying out your sponge recipe this weekend for an 8 inch cake. I'm doubling the ingredients but how long do you reccomend to cook it for? This cake looks absolutely amazing as well!!

      If you do it in 2 8x3 tins then it's going to take longer than 1 hour

    Georgia can you tell us how long you can keep the cake looking good after applying image and if the buttercream touches the image sheet does it effect it at all.please

      They're pressed flowers so last for a very long time. Fresh flowers need to be added to a cake last minute :)

    The name came from the geologist dictionary where the mountain split in some way and called a fault.

      When you buy them it will say edible flowers

      You can also look online to see which flowers are edible. Bear in mind that buying flowers from the supermarket isn't the same as they have been treated with insecticides and pesticides!
