    • @hiddejager
      @hiddejager 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@doramax5316 Get a check-up on your vitamines, hormones etc. If any of those aren't okay supplement them and/or get it fixed. Also don't use a harsh shampoo and don't shampoo too often. Use a conditioner as well after you wash out shampoo. Every other day seems to be fine for most people. Only using cold water for your hair is also benefical. You could also use other things like taking castor oil, using microneedling, minoxidil, finasteride, hair fibres and/or get a hair transplant. Using a hair oil also helps make your hair look better . Whatever you decide to do make sure to do your research on possible side-effects, quantities and always ask your doctor first about everything you might be willing to try! Don't start anything without talking to your doctor and knowing the possible negative effects.

    This may sound stupid: how do you tell if your hair is thick or thin? A lot of hair stylists have told me my hair is thick throughout my life. My current stylist told me I have fine/thin hair there is just a lot of it. I think I have fine hair, but is there a way to know for sure?

    • @jasim5049
      @jasim5049 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its actually the circumference of a healthy strand of hair. If its barely visible,then its thin. If its dark and clearly seen ,its thick.

    • @joeisblu
      @joeisblu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I was thinking about making a video exactly on this topic. People get thick hair confused with "a lot of hair" all the time. thickness is strand dependant. So you take a look at individual strands to determine thickenss. If your hair is fine but you have a lot of it, that's actually a super ideal and versatile hair type. Examples of people with fine hair but a lot of it are Dre Drexler and Jordan O'Brien. Examples of thick hair are myself, Alex Costa and Alpha M. hopefully that makes some sense!

    • @Cameron167
      @Cameron167 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joeisblu Thank you so much for the response! You make me feel more confident in what my current stylist told me. I knew she was a good one. I used to think I had thick hair too because there is so much of it.
      I especially appreciate the examples. You are my go-to channel for hair stuff, but since we do have different types of hair it may be worth checking out other channels with a hair type like mine as well.
      I currently use ascend and Monarch paste. After this video I am definitely considering adding cloud control. My hair does get a bit sticky and hard to run the paste through after blowdrying. Maybe some oil will help with that.

    Hi Joe, can I use talcum powder to keep things in control. I have fine hair which flies off in the wind a tad less when it is grimy (obviously!!). Can the powder simulate this grime? Have tried serums etc which only makes me look oil bathed (worse in the monsoons, hair is generally oily to begin with).

      I have a lot of hair but it's SUPER fine textured.. considering it's so fine, I personally like to use products that give my hair a thicker foundation. I don't like super light products because it's just accents how easily manipulated my hair is. Using heavier products allows me to move my style around ever so slightly without having it flop everywhere. I used hanz de fuko claymation and as long as I style it properly (which I sometimes suck at doing) then I'll have a great look and hold
