- So this is it folks, we finally bought a house in The Villages. We look forward to becoming residents here, it's a beautiful place for an active lifestyle. We will miss being on the water in the keys however. I'm sure we will frequent them often.

Congrats on your new home. I enjoyed watching you go through the process. However, if you make more videos, can you please control the music volume. It is so loud compared to your soft voices. I found myself moving the volume control up & down throughout your video. Please lower the music or wear attached microphones. Thx for sharing!

Congratulations on the purchase of your new home in The Villages. Question - On a new build, how did you get your driveway painted so quickly after closing ? It took us three months. Thanks
Thank you very much! We did not purchase a new build. Our home is two years old. The originally owners did several upgrades including the painted drive and the garage floor. I can however tell you it took a solid 5 days to have the carpet in the bedrooms removed and the floors tiled along tiling the lanai. Thanks again!

Congratulations on your move! My husband and I would love to be your neighbor but just hesitant on the house insurance costs in Fl. How are retirees affording such outrageous premiums?!
Well you are not wrong - house insurance costs continue to rise in Florida. However, in our case, coming from the Keys all of our insurance expenses decreased significantly. We are not required to carry wind insurance here which is a huge savings. Perhaps you can stop in the Keys for a couple of years like we did and then it will feel better when you move to the Villages. If you make it to the Villages, please reach out. Did you have the driveway painted or was it already done when you bought the house
We bought a house that was 2 yrs old and there were several things that were done like the driveway paint. A new home is basically a blank canvas for your imagination to run wild with decorating ides. Many things are not included, like gutters on the entire house, painted driveways, epoxy on the garage floors, granite/quartz counters, etc.
I can’t believe they let you bring your dog into the building! What if Ella pees inside the building?
The Villages are very pet friendly. :) I think the last time Ella tinkled inside a building is when she was 10 weeks old, so the odds are on our side she would not start now considering she is 9 1/2 years old. If she had a thumb I would have sat her on the chair and let her sign the paperwork.

Oh my gosh I'm so excited get this there is actually a group for whole food plant-based people! They meet monthly the second Thursday and they meet and have a potluck! It was very well organized and I just can't tell how excited I am about it.!!

Know people love their animals but I am allergic to dogs and cats.
Dogs are everywhere, but they are not allowed in the rec centers or restaurants.

I don't recall what the bond was, quite frankly it really doesn't matter it's just part of the property taxes, but called out separately.

Good question. I would only bring Ella to a closing when I had no other option. Can't leave her in the car, or the hotel room, or with fam & friends (no body in the area). Clearly many others have been in the same situation. As such the Villages welcome your 4 legged family members! Was a huge stress reliever for us!!
You’ve got to kick the content up a notch to make it watchable and the intro song was 2 minutes too long. You’ve got potential but just hone it in to make it more watchable, one long advertisement for a storage company isn’t going to keep bringing viewers or build your audience.

Well we are not quite all the way out of the Keys just yet. It was an amazing experience that I am forever greatful my husband talked me into. Now on to something new in the Villages!
