What were Lucinda‘s words? The very first time she laid eyes on Jam? “This one’s an athlete!” Look at her over jump these fences. When you keep her in balance, and let her mouth alone, she is so willing to jump stuff like this and so happy while doing it. Meg, you did fantastically well in listening to Simon and adjusting your own style. That’s hard to do. Simon is an incredibly gifted teacher because he sees what both of you need and he’s able to communicate that.
@katrinajoyce6658 the breed itself though is considered a pony breed because they stick them at a certain age. They do get up to 15.1 though even if they're still ponies
She’s jumping out of her skin and you rode her so beautifully! Jammy is loving that softer ride and you aren’t arguing anymore. Simon is right you have great instincts.
Meg- your consistency is increasing multi fold under Simon's instruction, and you are learning to depend on that consistency thus increasing your confidence. Jam is more confident because you are more consistent and the loop is positive and getting results. YOU are doing the work Simon puts before you and soon you will own it without frequent positive feedback from outside yourself. Jam already knows you are better than you think you are!!! Congrats on everything!!!! Well done you!!!
Wow, what a change in you and your riding! Please don’t change your trainer, what a blessing Simon has been for you. He has helped you regain your confidence, no negativity, just an I can and I will positive attitude. Keep it up!
HELL YEAH YOU CAN AND YOU WILL! Watching that round reminded me of Piggy riding Jam! Would love to see Simon on Jam - mostly because it will be so much fun for Simon and we'll get a lot of excited "weee!"'s - but I love seeing you on her just as much. As everyone who has seen Jam says: She is absolutely incredible! And that is thanks to you! You produced this one-of-a-kind pony. In the video of your first competition you mentioned: Not many people believed in this pony...and now look at you two! Placed and twice top 10 at Badminton, both of you absolutely loving your job and most of all Jam is giving her all and believing in her mommy forever - just like you did when probably no one else would have. No matter how Badders 2024 goes: Congratulations Meg, you already did it.
Fantastic job Meg! You rode that course tremendously well, and Jam had some real loft and air-time over a few of the fences, thanks to the balance and impulsive you two were creating together. Such a terrific job, and Simon is great at pinpointing a few key things for you to address. Word choice is so important and we could SEE you thinking “balance” before and after the jumps, as well as continuing to work Jam through her body between the fences. You both looked focused but relaxed and there definitely seemed to be all the time in the world. So, so so pleased for you both!!
Just shows how powerful mindset is and what a difference it can make; when I was a kid I used to tell myself I was Ellen Whittaker when I went into the ring and daft as it sounds it really did help 🤣 I think this is one of the best lessons I've seen from you and Jam; she really is a cool little mare 😍
Amazing riding! You came in seeming so much more positive, Simon's teaching style really seems to suit you - being specific and giving you something to think about (distract yourself with!). Your whole body looked calmer, stronger and much more confident, which have Jammy extra wings! Can't wait to see what more of those sessions will do for you.
Simon’s a great instructor for you. He’s got a sense of humor and he breaks down his instructions into understandable bits and has you focus on only a few things. Some instructors just tell you to jump something and then tell you how great you were without reminding you you of what to work on. Great job Meg and Jam!
16:55 was so glad when you moved the saddle pad forward, I’m such a perfectionist and it was all I could look at it 😂. Saying that, your riding was immense, you and Jam looked like a proper team, so much trust and confidence between you both it was so lovely to see ❤
I'm so chuffed, Meg!! You were feeling like rubbish when you did this Badders prep with Simey, and he gave you the "fun" back into riding again!! The confidence you gained from being at Simey's place for Badders prep has really shown that confidence coming back. Even though Cross Country Day was difficult, he made Show Jumping fun again. As I've told you before, and I'll say it again, YOU ARE A GREAT RIDER!! You have a very natural seat, a little work on the shoulders needed to help JamBam in her corners to keep her shoulder where it needs to be, and you're golden!! Believe in yourself!! You can do it, and have fun while you do it as well!! Love from your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦
havent ridden in a year due to losing my horse, used to watch you years agoooo and now im back😭!! youve brought me to miss riding so im going to my new barn soon!
WOW!!!! That was the best we've ever seen you ride. Simon is right, YOU CAN DO IT! YOU HAVE DONE IT! You should be so proud. You rode that course like a professional, not an amateur. It was brilliant!
Oh Jam, I love her jump! And some brilliant riding from you Meg, especially after the blip on cross-country the day before. It's so hard to pick back up after something like that, you killed it!
Well Done Meg!!! You and Jam Bam are such a good team!!! Confidence sometimes can take a knock but You came back full Swing! Jammy is an amazing Mare. xxxxx
It’s a shame how our minds really can mess with our confidence. I’m going through this myself. That was a fantastic ride, well done 🎉 Since we need little reminders of our confidence maybe put up signs around the ring for you to read constantly and you can believe in yourself and get better because you are a wonderful rider ❤
Your confidence continues to grow. I thought you made huge improvements from jumping other people’s horses and higher jumps than you thought you could do. Thunder is great fun to watch you & Jam improve so much. 🌺
Excellent work, Simon is so good for you , he’s been there & done that & understands the emotion at play , which makes him an amazing coach . Lucky you having a top competitor & fabulous coach under the one hat 🎩
I would love to see another cross country lesson with Simon so you an Jam can walk out of that lesson knowing you can do it. Sending you love from the USA.
Gosh I love Simon. As I said before he’s definitely someone you want in your support circle. He can flit between having a great laugh with you to knowing the boundaries of when he’s teaching which is so professional; but he doesn’t lose that kind vibe. He’s the epitome of a great teacher because you can tell he has high levels of emotional intelligence because he doesn’t feel the need to belittle you at any point. Any wobbles (& there were none really) he uses them as a teaching experience. He explains things so well like balancing straight after a fence, etc. Jam is looking & going so well & your riding is amazing. I loved the shoulder in exercises in the groundwork gosh what a difference that makes. Glad it all went well 👏
loving how jam keeps listening to you throughout that entire round, ears are always pricked but every few seconds they flicker back to you as if to say... "mom what's next?". i also love Simons coaching style :).
Well done Meg and Jammy of course you can do this! Remember you two came third at Badders first time round when Jam was still fairly new to this. She is a legend so are you Meg!!
Well done Meg. It's all about confidence. You can do it! And you did! It's interesting to see Simon the professional instructor. I love the fun silly Simie. He's so different when he's teaching. He's excellent. Definitely do more with him. 👏
You and Jam have a wonderful partnership! I know you would never do anything to harm Jam and I also believe that she loves you very much and would never do anything to harm you! Good luck with your prep work and if you ride like you did today you will be amazing at Badminton!❤
That was a perfect session. I don't think I've seen you ride with such confidence. Jam is obviously enjoying it and not being pulled around so much. She can do and so can you. ❤
Hi Megs, would love a video on care of a grey horse, prep for shows, chalking, tail maintenance! Jam looks immaculate! I find it so hard to get out the yellow and stained look!!
Like I said in the last comment section. Kick butt girl. Keep working on your mental health and one day you will look back and chuckle 🤭 at all this. Your great and Florida USA is on your side. Thank you for talking about all this too, your helping so many people, I don't even know if you realize how much.
a while back in comment section i was a bit frustrated with Jam in general - too much to go into it all - but now what a transformation in Jam and a team work in horse and rider You both together are close to being "one" in unison - soooo close to it. Jam really has developed a talking personality to. Just look at her facial expressions and body language , she is constantly talking to you all at different moments, she truly feels a part of everyone and is in the moment doing her role play in all this. Horses don't just be that on their own commonly, some do and that is rare because it takes a long term relationship with horse and owner to really bring out each other's inner self and when it happens you get the wonders in life like Jam and Meg together. I just cannot get enough of this channel, Thank you for all that you do!!!
I don't think I know anybody that look so totally in harmony as you and Jammy when all goes well!!! It's honestly very pretty!!! 🥰🥰🥰 You are good at this!!!
Oh Meg! So awesome!!!! You did that like you were not even worried. You were coming out of one jump and already looking for the next jump just like you had forgotten that jump and had no anxiety at all. Such a pro!!
Such a great session for you both, Jam is such a good girl, keen, talented and you ride her beautifully. Believe in yourself and you'll have a ball at Badminton ❤
Megan, you ARE good at this. Two horses in the top 10 at Badminton!! I also understand the nerves, lots of confidence issues myself after a fall. You WILL get there ❤
Looked fantastic, jammy really is a great pony 🦄 Simon is fab and he's so right... You totally need to believe in yourself.... You can , you will 💪 . 💜
Oh Meg!! I literally became teary eyed. That was beautiful!!!! I think Simon really explained it so good for you and I dont think I’ve ever seen Jambam with such a relaxed but powerful jump. I’m at a loss for words
You did such an amazing job in this omg, absolutely riding goals! You are an amazing rider and definitely can go so so far in this sport! Keep doing you Meg, its a delight to watch
This was so lovely to see! You’re a very talented rider and it’s lovely to see you riding confidently, forward and soft. You were both mega. 👏. The flatwork at the beginning was 😙, you’ve done a great job with her schooling.
The scope on that pony is insane, I’ve recently become a riding instructor so I find it so interesting how I’m starting to pick up on the little things and then Simon says them too 😃 You and jammy are on fire!! We all have our pitfalls but I think so long as you believe that the stride will come and Jammy can do it then you’re in a for a winner 🤩
After watching this, I feel my mindset has improved ten fold!! Omg. Simon just makes so much sense. Jammy looks bloody insane. Her back end flicking away, beautiful balance and her general way of going i could watch all day. You rode absolutely beautiful in this Meg, you look amazing. So proud of you and so grateful for you posting all of these lessons! Xxxx
Bet you enjoyed that Meg! Such a good lesson, Jam amazing, and Simon spot on with sorting your head out! Jam really looks like she would be super at pure showjumping.
Simon is amazing instructor. Meg, you and Jammy showed so much more confidence. Need to transfer this to the x country. Believe in yourself. Great work.
amazing from you and jammy meg! that round was soooo smooth and effortless. Simon is probably my favourite teacher iv seen you have a lesson with, he is so knowledgeable, what he tells you to do actually works EVERY TIME and you both just looked phenomenal. xxx
What a fantastic video! Jam Bam looks fabulous! So beautiful. Her body has developed into a well balanced athlete with a unicorn’s coat. She looks so intelligent and keen and loving the lesson. Granite Lens Media pulled another trick out of the bag with the three in one films of Jammy and you jumping at the end. So funny and true when Simon said, “well it’s factual”. !!!
That mare can sure jump. She just looks A-MA-ZING over fences! I have an unconventional suggestion. What you need to do--what Simon is telling you when he tells you to rebalance instead of going to your hand--is a good full body half-halt. You know who can really work with you on that? Rich. What about a dressage lesson where you actually JUMP? Work on the half halt (which is much more about core and legs than hands) on the flat and then over fences, with Rich there to yell at you. I think that if you felt as if you had a really good HH, and Jam had learned to respond to it well, you would feel confident that you could rebalance her without slowing her and confusing her. Worth a try? Anyway, clearly you can BOTH DO THIS!!!!!!
Keep this lesson and refer to it, because you rode so well and left Jambam alone she absolutely loved her lesson, jumping with more energy, bloody well done, I bet Hobbit loved this one 😂 xxxxx
Meg I’m in the same boat as you, I had 5 falls in 2 weeks that completely knocked my confidence and I just went from jumping 85-90cm to jumping 60 and lower, but I just pushed through and with my club, coach and mum, I’m back out eventing and you’ve given me the confidence if you can do it I can too ❤
Omg Jammy is so awesome! Who is this girl brimming with “I can do this” confidence??? I’m loving it xxx . There was some beautiful jumps xxxx had to chuckle that the queen of circles is back lol 😂😂 also, I flipping love Simon ❤
You’re doing AMAZING Meg! ❤This video brought a smile to my face, just seeing you gain confidence and enjoy your jumping again was SO special to meee 🌟 I’ve had a couple rotational falls of my own and I know how much confidence it knocks and how hard it is to regain even the smallest bit 😅 we are our biggest critics and can be very mean to ourselves!! But I can assure you, even if you don’t always see it, you are a GREAT rider💕 (and I am extremely envious of your eye for distances 😆 )Jammy is also THE coolest girlie and you’ve done SO well with her 🙌
What were Lucinda‘s words? The very first time she laid eyes on Jam? “This one’s an athlete!”

Simon is an incredibly gifted teacher because he sees what both of you need and he’s able to communicate that.
Would love to see another Lucinda lesson too
She also said she's a pony that rides like a horse.
@@sheblynetechnically Jam is a small horse as she’s over 14.2hh xx
@katrinajoyce6658 the breed itself though is considered a pony breed because they stick them at a certain age. They do get up to 15.1 though even if they're still ponies
I agree with Simon. That pony is immense. If you can match her with confidence in yourself.
On the up and UP! 🤩

Wowzers what a round! The smoothness, rhythm and riding was epic. Simon is a great coach for you.

Meg - Jam's gaits and movement have really improved! Well done! Her neck is looking longer as well.

Jams Jumping improved so much lately! She looks so stunning in this clips make me think she wouldn't mind the jumps to be a bit bigger ❤❤
The first thing I saw when the video started was just how well she is moving at the moment , really free and loose through her body ❤

That was an awesome video! You and Jam did fabulous! Would love to see Simon jump Jam in the future! ❤
Jam is looking amazing, such a credit to you! Wish I could have a lesson with Simon he’s such a good teacher😊

So good when simon points out when you should be adjusting the canter rather than just pointing out when you do things you shouldnt ❤
Jam’s face was so adorable throughout this video, lovely lovely lovely! 🥰
I have to say Jam is my fav pony out of all your horses, ❤
One of my best advice from an instructor that I got was "Don't forget to breath". You rode this training by the books well done!
loving how jam keeps listening to you throughout that entire round, ears are always pricked but every few seconds they flicker back to you as if to say... "mom what's next?". i also love Simons coaching style :).
Would love to see Simon on jambam 😁 what a fab lesson for you both, you looked incredible and rode so positively ❤
Well done Meg and Jammy of course you can do this! Remember you two came third at Badders first time round when Jam was still fairly new to this. She is a legend so are you Meg!!
This video and the xc video is a perfect example that defeat is only temporary. You guys look amazing.
I love Simon… Meg is fab and together, you’re a great team.
I am so happy your confidence is back after the last video ❤
Well done Meg. It's all about confidence. You can do it! And you did! It's interesting to see Simon the professional instructor. I love the fun silly Simie. He's so different when he's teaching. He's excellent. Definitely do more with him. 👏
Beautifully ridden Meg! Very good to see you both relaxed and confident.
I always knew you could do meg. Your an amazing rider and all you need is to keep your confidence up

Simon is so good for you two, you've come so far from u started on TH-cam! Jam looks great, good job and well ridden ❤
Oh Meg! So awesome!!!! You did that like you were not even worried. You were coming out of one jump and already looking for the next jump just like you had forgotten that jump and had no anxiety at all. Such a pro!!
Meg that last round was gorgeous to watch, really measured, relaxed & easy 🙌🏻
Meg that's such an in presive lesson with Simon ,AND such a difference for the x.c.lesson . TAKE CARE AND all the best. Simon is just amazing. 😊😊😊👍👍
Such a great session for you both, Jam is such a good girl, keen, talented and you ride her beautifully. Believe in yourself and you'll have a ball at Badminton ❤
Amazing stuff Meg, I’m so thrilled for you to be back on form 🎉! You’ve got this girl ❤
Super helpful. I was very conscious of what Simon was saying as I rode my horse today
Well done Megan and Jam Bam! That was brilliant and Simon was great 😊
You , Simon and Jam are a joy to watch !
You did such an amazing job in this omg, absolutely riding goals! You are an amazing rider and definitely can go so so far in this sport! Keep doing you Meg, its a delight to watch
Looking super Meg and Jammy! Smiling ear to ear watching this x
This was so lovely to see! You’re a very talented rider and it’s lovely to see you riding confidently, forward and soft. You were both mega. 👏. The flatwork at the beginning was 😙, you’ve done a great job with her schooling.
I never doubted YOU, Meg for a second!!!
You looked great and rode brilliantly 👏 ❤
The scope on that pony is insane, I’ve recently become a riding instructor so I find it so interesting how I’m starting to pick up on the little things and then Simon says them too 😃
You and jammy are on fire!! We all have our pitfalls but I think so long as you believe that the stride will come and Jammy can do it then you’re in a for a winner 🤩
Have been watching your vids for a while now. You are such an inspiration
Xxxx
Love you ❤️
Bet you enjoyed that Meg!
Simon is probably my favourite teacher iv seen you have a lesson with, he is so knowledgeable, what he tells you to do actually works EVERY TIME and you both just looked phenomenal. xxx
You are my biggest inspiration 🩷. You are doing so well xx
Wow! I’m so impressed with the three of you guys! Oh, and Jam’s tail is totally on point! She is so, so beautiful! ❤️
You and Jammy are like a new pair , confidence suits you Meg ! Super team ❤️
she is so athletic, when you are confident you are brill, when you panic it all gets a bit busy. Simon doesn't miss anything lol.
The best I’ve seen you and jammy!!!! So inspiring to me ❤
That mare can sure jump.
Didn’t stop smiling, I love seeing how far you’ve come! And you can do this! ❤
Meg I’m in the same boat as you, I had 5 falls in 2 weeks that completely knocked my confidence and I just went from jumping 85-90cm to jumping 60 and lower, but I just pushed through and with my club, coach and mum, I’m back out eventing and you’ve given me the confidence if you can do it I can too ❤
simon is spot on with his comments - where you are in your head. trust yourself, trust her.
Great video Meg. YOU CAN DO IT!
That last round was just gorgeous 😍 you’re both mega!! Well done xxx
Omg Jammy is so awesome! Who is this girl brimming with “I can do this” confidence??? I’m loving it xxx . There was some beautiful jumps xxxx had to chuckle that the queen of circles is back lol 😂😂 also, I flipping love Simon ❤
I hope you're so incredibly proud of yourself Meg, You inspire me so much
Fantastic!! Love, love to see you happy, confident and smiling!! Great job! So good to feel that consistency setting in. Your great!! Enjoy💕
But I can assure you, even if you don’t always see it, you are a GREAT rider💕 (and I am extremely envious of your eye for distances 😆 )Jammy is also THE coolest girlie and you’ve done SO well with her 🙌
Wow that was lovely! I absolutely adore jams Jump and your eq is fantastic!
