I always found it notable that at the end of this episode that Rick spares Jerry from the memory of the cat's origin. It either means that over the years, Rick has developed some small amount of pity or compassion for Jerry's miserable life, and he's only okay revealing that when nobody, not even Jerry himself will remember, or that whatever the cat did was so heinous that Rick thought that even someone he hates as much as Jerry doesn't deserve to deal with the thought. I like the fact that it's never explained what the cat actually did, nothing they could have shown or came up with would have been able to live up to the insane amount of build up put there, so leaving it ambiguous was definitely the best move.
Exactly. Nothing they show us can possibly live up to our collective imaginations. All we know is that whatever it was, it was almost enough to make Rick kill himself, which is no easy feat.
But what could it be. And why did he want to go to florida. It has to be worse than the Jellybean king. Rick doesn't care about genocide either. I can't think of what it could be.
3:58 it took me 6 years to get bored of joyriding my Corvette, so I'm thinking flying with a dragon would be like 10 years. That said, if I was the ONLY guy with a dragon? That shit would never get old.
I got a manual 08’ golf 5 with 140hp since 2019 its been 5 years and when i put the foot on that clutch and let it drift around corners ,the position at the wheel, the abilty it has to manuever around a crowded town ,it still puts a smile on my face. I have other more expensive automatic cars that just dont provide the same joy even tough they more luxurios and the build quality is superior. I couldnt imagine driving a manual 911 or another performance car. But a *flying conscious dragon* is out of this world i might never get of it i think
I love that opening. It was so unexpected. 😂❤ As for the episode itself, it’s honestly the only one I remember watching from this season because of the dragons.
Great opening, DTV. Been following you for about two years now and you do the best reactions on TH-cam. Btw, the cat in the episode was voiced by Mathew Broderick.
Homie forget about riding run, think about how much it’s gonna cost to feed them, pay for doctors visit if they get sick, I’m cool with just owning my dog😂🙅🏾♂️😂
There is a future episode that will make you very happy about something you asked for. The cat however is a McGuffin, like the glow from the suitcase in pulp fiction. It's there to excite your imagination. Was that cat an immortal dark God from an alternate universe banished here to a life of boredom? Was he a piece of fruit given life as a cat who knows Florida is party central? It's up to you.
the Film Theory channel has a video on the cat from this episode and what Rick and Jerry saw in the machine, it’s worth a watch if you want something close to an answer 🐈🧐
So I believe the cat is supposed to be the cult leader Jim Jones some how and the screams we're off the followes at Jonestown or Ted Bundy who loved Florida was very disarming and could persuade almost anyone making the screams his victims over the years
@@KingDJ524 It was *something* without him: I wouldn't say better. It stayed consistent with the previous seasons, although some episodes were kinda lame. The blatant virtue signaling hate that you people have for him is ridiculous. Dan Harmon has done things almost as bad, yet you excuse him because it isn't popular to hate him yet.
@@NovusIgnisI personally couldnt care less about what he did or if he did it, Im just glad they got the pervert out of the writers room, because they show is slightly more tolerable to watch now
@@vault6242 Except they didn't lmao. It's Dan Harmon who's obsessed with all of the incest. One of the dude's oldest works was some creepy baby diddling video that he claimed was comedy. Where did you hear that Roland was the pervert, from all the people still left in the production crew who benefit from painting him as such?

I think the best part is they never tell you what the cat did.
You can only speculate on what was so Heinous

The dragon was voiced by Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham aka Davos Seaworth.

Rick's probably wouldn't

@dustinleask4252 is perfectly fair. If it's for himself. Since it's morty, I feel like he'd leave the pain just to fuck with him

I do think Rick and Morty will Not survive without Justin Roiland?
It's literally better without him. The moment he was gone 99% of Justin's fetishes stopped being mentioned in the show. Weird how that happens.
