Im a christian. But i agree with this philosopher. Philosophical reasoning has a limit. It cannot be compared to spiritual experience and it should be applied within the framework of divinity.
Nice music, I think there was some talking aswell but I couldn't hear well
“Over-reliance on reason.” He has nailed it! I was aversed to philosophical learning coz i saw it as a threat to complete trust in the divine as a Christian, but now i see the coherence. We should rely on reason but not ‘over-rely’! 😮. Surely, there is an infinite power unlimited by reason and that is God. I understand.
This is the problem I had with the catholic church. An overreliance on human reason, even so much that my local priests talk more about Aquinas in their sermons than Jesus. These same arguments for and against using reason as the ultimate way to understand god existed between the Catholic and Orthodox churches. Gregory Palamas vs. Aquinas.
@@adsffdaaf4170 so you left catholicism
Yeah but christinity is not natural it is based on bible
Islam is natural religion based on Intuition
Philosophy is our reverse engineering process. Its a seriously needed tool.
Fundamental religious principles are incompatible with reason. Also, why do people keep claiming that they know the “reality of God” because they read writings of people who did not even know that the earth went around the sun?
How about averrouse book critizing this book?
It's on the way.
Some points feel repeated a lot which was frustrating to watch
I agree. I'll pay attention to that in the next videos.
I see alghazali defending the ressurection.
Ressurection is Islamic
If you cant join in their mess, confuse them.
?
he wasnt against philosphy at all
Did you read Ghazali? Yes/No?
He is not against philosophy in the sense of thinking and giving opinion( what you said reverse engineering) he is against opinion/doctrine from the philosopher that against Islam
Is this all just an AI project?
