Recessions are part of the economic cycle, all you can do is make sure you're prepared and plan accordingly. I graduated into a recession (2009). My 1st job after college was aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today I'm a VP at a global company, own 3 rental properties, invest in stocks and biz, built my own business, and have my net worth increase by $500k in the last 3 years.
Let's face it... buying more stocks & index funds during stock market corrections and bear markets is scary. Which makes it really hard to do for most people like me. I have $260k i want to transfer into an s&s isa but its hard to bite the bullet and do it.
You need a Financial Advisor my friend so you don't get ripped off in the market. They provide personalized advice to individuals based on their risk appetite, placing them among the best of the best. There are bad ones, but some with good track records can be very good.
Thank you for this tip , I must say, Vivian appears to be quite knowledgeable. After coming across her online page, I thoroughly went through her resume, and I must say, it was quite impressive. I reached out to her, and I have booked a session with her.
With Most Regional Banks at the risk of failing it could be an indication of an economic Recession which could be devastating .I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.
I think the safest strategy is to diversify investments. Like spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. Mostly true. I had a business with unskilled and skilled labor. Of the unskilled (who we trained to become skilled in a particular facet of the business), we had about 25% that were with us long term (6-8 years), 50-60% that were short term (1-3 years), and the bottom end who we cycled through on an almost daily basis. Part of our retainment strategy was to pay them higher than anyone else and provide a good benefits package.
@@TheologyUnleashed Yes, and yet only 10% of people are even with no barrier to entry and that number is trending down. By and large most people want to follow and if you are a good leader you will be fine.
@in4theride75 Thank for your comment! You bring up an excellent point. It's true that treating employees with respect and paying them fairly can significantly increase retention, even in roles often labeled as "unskilled." When people feel valued and fairly compensated, they’re more likely to stay and grow with the company. Creating a positive work environment and offering competitive wages not only helps retain employees but also boosts morale and productivity. It's a win-win for both the employees and the employer. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Making good money before you retire is super important. It can boost your social security benefit and give you a stronger retirement portfolio. Basically, the more you earn now, the better off you’ll be later
Prioritizing effective personal finance management holds greater significance than the sheer amount saved, irrespective of income source. consulting a certified financial advisor can offered tailored strategies to optimize financial results by reducing expenses and enhancing income, regardless of whether it’s earned through employment or investments
I totally agree. At 60 and newly retired, I’ve got about $1.25 million in outside retirement funds. With no debt and only a small chunk of my portfolio in retirement funds over the past three years, I see how crucial a financial advisor is
I had a similar thing happened. I had a Roth 401k for a while. I was getting ready to retire in 2020, so in late 2019, I moved it to a Roth IRA with a big brokerage. They said the 5-year rule start over, so by 2024, it’s all good. Also I moved a traditional 401k there too, but kept it secret from the Roth. My employer’s admin said I was the first to do just a Roth 401k transfer, so they had to update their system for it. Luckily it was quick. Goodluck with your situation!
It's enticing to consider purchasing some stocks in this bull run. I'm contemplating investing more than $300k for retirement. While the bull run can generate short-term excitement, i also need long-term investment strategy
It seems like there's potential, but caution is warranted. hence I will advice you get yourself a financial advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points
Having an investment advisor is the best way to go about the stock market right now. I used to depend on TH-cam videos but it wasn't working. I’ve been in touch with an advisor for a while now, and just last year, I made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.

The US economy is a powerhouse with a diverse range of sectors. The stock market and the dollar have traditionally been safe havens due to their long-term growth and stability. However, potential downturns are part of the economic cycle, and laws are in place to manage defaults and asset seizures. Inflation can be a concern, but remember, certain assets like stocks and Crypto’s acts as a hedge. Long & short-term trading is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Kerrie Farrell, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape....
