I would say NO to the grocery/wholesaler business. Very low margins and its very hard to get shelf space-which you have to pay for. I have worked with several entrepreneurs who had knock out products and it just was a difficult road. As examples: One ended selling out to a major food company who deep sixed their product--did not want a competing product out there for consumers to buy, and the other went totally ecommerce and kept their profits up.
It depends what business. For tech, PE, VC, and import/export trading, you’d want to start in CA or NY. For real estate that cash flows…red or purple states.
As a GC who has done it for quite a while now, and in a lot of different ways the advice on picking a niche is spot on. Everyone can paint, roof and side a home. Great entry point, but as you get experience and knowledge search for niche markets. Be adaptable. The only thing consistent about my business is we provide an excellent product and excellent customer service. Keep that no matter what you do but be ready to pivot to a new opportunity. I would be cautious about buying a construction "business". I know many from my years of work. I only know a few that are actual businesses. Most of the small construction businesses you will find are centered around the owner. Can you replace him and his experience? Unlikely unless you have done the ground work he did for years.
I would say something in health care, or real estate is good. because people always need those. and also food. but gotta have a great selling point and product.
My brother in law (Romanian) and I are going to put an American honkytonk bar in Romania. We're just looking for the right location. Romanians are obsessed with Americana.
So, my question is: How do I find the data to follow? I'm not trying to be negative. I promise. I like what you're saying, and I like following you. This is all really new to me, and I am working on trying to buy my first laundromat in Colorado Springs. I just don't know how to find data like company & industry numbers, like you are saying that I need to follow. Can you help me with that?
1:20 Saying there is room in the glasses market is truly making me doubt your expertise. Anyone who does a small amount of market research knows that 1 company holds over 90% of the market share and 99% of shelf space.
Therapy plus cab or limo ride; tinted windows? Get it done in 1 hour ride across town..have a driver that is separate…or the driver is the therapist…spin on Cab stories…
Hey Codie! How are you? I am Noel and I love your content!. Thank you for everything you do!! I have a request if that is possible! Could you do a video about what will you do if you start a moving company today? How will scale the moving company? Thank you so much!!!.
hi codie! i admire you so much! just wondering you mentioned in your previous youtube that you can kind of be the middle man and take a “finder’s fee” could you explain more on that
As always, a great analysis. Newcomers often wonder if it's too late to navigate the financial market, but the market is always unpredictable. Trading has more advantages than simply holding, so it's important to learn before diving in. Active trades are necessary to ride the market's waves. Thanks to Linda Wilburn’s insights, daily trade signals, and my dedication to learning, I've been increasing my daily earnings, managed to grow a nest egg of around 127k to a decent 732k. Kudos to the journey ahead!
With heavy regulations on Airbnbs in numerous markets, many hosts seeing a decline in their short-term rentals (thus leaving the business model), and California rolling out a short-term rental tax law next year, hotels will continue being the mainstay in hospitality.
I would say FMCG will stay a strong and stable industry if someone want to start less risky business . Thanks for your great content as usual ! I’m Abdelillah Saggay , a tech content creator from Morocco !
My Uncle is selling his own organic meat 🍖 in a small town in Poland, and he did in the past years exactly what you explained 👌🏽 Now a bunch of stores order from him, while he has only 2 shops and is visiting some Farmers Markets
Aw Cody... I'm sitting with my head in my hands right now just hearing you mention better help. I really recommend you look into this business, it's got terrible ratings and reviews and is really a scam. Once you start with better help, their therapists do not even need any type of credentialing nor are they licensed, mostly. I love your content but so sad to see this on your channel :(
Well that is definitely one side of the story, in the meantime over to HBR: “More than 60% of employment in 2018 was found in job titles that did not exist in 1940,” according to a research. In 1980, the Census Bureau added controllers of remotely piloted vehicles to its list of occupations; in 2000 it added sommeliers. Those examples highlight the two related ways that technology can create work. In the first case, a new technology directly created a new kind of job that required new skills. In the second, a richer society - full of computers and remotely piloted vehicles - meant that consumers could spend money on new extravagances, like the services of a sommelier.
Codie, you're awesome. Where do you get your clothes? That outfit is awesome. Also, where is that camping overall? Seriously, I could use something like that. She doesn't seem to make it. :(
I would recommend reading & apply the book Dianetics instead of using a Therapist.... they tend to evaluate who they think you are & what's wrong w/, instead of YOU leading yourself to realizing things about yourself & your issues. Dianetics has helped me a lot!
pharmacies can be hit or miss, insurance companies wont update prices for certain drugs and it may cost the pharmacy 100+ dollars per sale to even carry the item.
I refuse to go to the big drug stores anymore. Even in the decent parts of town, addicts and bums chase you from your car to the front door of the pharmacy and back again. Their lines are long and there is no one to answer questions.
Some of these ideas are fine, but sure not applicable to those who don't live in, or near, a major center where there is a lot of disposable income. Gets difficult for those of us who live in small communities within a country that has nowhere near the population of the States.
Interesting that you had HOTELS on the list of businesses with the highest FAIL rate. I knew that was an error putting that on the failure list. It's Real Estate Investments business. It will always be marketable. Airbnb can be incorporated to lessen vacancies. It's all about marketing and location.
Informative, although I disagree that a convenience store would work. We literally buy all our toothpaste, medicine, etc on Amazon. It's delivered same day. There will be no physical convenience stores within 10 years.
@CodieSancchezCT Not much to discuss. Convenience stores are dead. Everyone buying online now. There's a reason CVS and Walgreens are closing down stores across the nation.
It sounds cheesy for me to say this, maybe. Your channel may change my life. You see for a long time now I've taken in tremendous "make money" content. Tremendous amounts. I've been in opportunities to make money...now there isn't a single business that I've been exposed to that I want to make money in. I'm numb and I have been for a long time. I've been watching your content over this last week. And mainly you're not focusing on online businesses. Your channel is giving me a new perspective on business. I am feeling that I may need to think out of the box of where I've been and that might be the beginning to getting my MOJO back.
Well if you plan on opening a bar.. don't do it in France.. restaurants/bars are the most unreliable source of income you can possibly own if you don't offer something never seen before which can be pretty fkin hard. I have 1, which is working great right now, but it wasn't always like that. Take covid for exemple, we had to stay closed almost 2 years, reviews can drown you if you fck up even once or if the bar next door don't like you, people are always searching for novelty, so they might love you one day and go down the road for a change the next just to discover something new, the financial gap is out of this world as far as taxes, ordering liquor etc.. idk how shit works in america.. but i've been in this business for the past 15 years.. run away from it
Luxottica controls over 80% of the eyewear market. Weird that you fail to even mention them at all... 🤔 I would not suggest going into the eyewear business to anyone. Hard to take anything you say seriously. There is A LOT of information and little details you are leaving out.
I totally agree and I can even say that it is definitely "clickbaity". Might I also add that she previously listed hotels as very hard to get any profit on. Note: I totally understand this particular video is just listing the businesses that will always remain "on demand", but I am stressing that they might not be highly "profitable" per se.
I’m sorry but you are wrong with the construction aspect of your podcast. There are plenty of union workers available. There is never a shortage, only those contractors that want to hire slave labor. Take it from a 20 year nyc union construction worker. Otherwise, I like this segment and will continue to follow.
When you are disabled and have no way to earn money to start your business that’s the problem. I have an invented some new technology for an industry but it’s something that you can’t patent. And when trying to get investors you have to worry about them stealing your ideas.
That never fail? HMM more click bait.. Since humans are involved, inevitably these business can and do fail. You marketers really need to clean up your headlines because you have stupid people believing this non sense.
Stop making statements like NEVER FAIL! It's good CLICK BAIT, but As a professional, you're sliding into SCAMMY territory. I haven't yet watched, so hopefully you had an explanation, but it still leaves a bad taste. Thank you
I'm afraid I have to disagree with most of the analysis here. Codie’s moving away from actual realistic analysis to what supports her course castles even when it’s not a real total addressable market play. These ideas will fold for the average small business holder trying it out.
00:01 Long-standing businesses are more likely to continue thriving.
01:40 To make real money in the eyewear business, charge a premium and have better distribution.
03:25 Starting small and building expertise is key for business success
05:09 Therapy is crucial for handling stresses in business and life.
06:57 Successful businesses focus on direct sales and e-commerce.
08:54 Construction business always in demand
10:49 Construction industry facing shortage of skilled laborers
12:46 Small bars with history and unique concepts thrive
14:38 Specialty corner stores will have a resurgence due to unique offerings and local charm.
16:31 Curated impulse purchases drive store revenue
18:11 Creating viral content as an ad strategy
19:57 Certain businesses have consistent demand
Good luck having better distribution than Luxottica, which controls > 80% of the eyewear business. 🙄
My three favorite channels: Codie Sanchez, Stock Brotha, & How Money Works. Make my week complete! 🔥 🔥 🔥
checking other 2..i know Codie. good post.
Careful a lot of how money works is stupidly bias, he is slowly becoming less bias but in the older stuff it's painfully obvious
thanks

Lol Ney York, "It's a walk sign." Codie Sanchez version of, "I'm walking here!"
The Algonquin ("Al-gon-quinn") is an institution!! Lived in NYC for 16 years and it was one of my all-time faves.
You want to mention that Cities like NYC have Banned AirBnBs. Which means even a bigger market for a Boutique Hotel
Boutique hotels are a thing?
Apparently they end worldwide
I would say NO to the grocery/wholesaler business. Very low margins and its very hard to get shelf space-which you have to pay for. Step 1 to building a business: don't do it in NY or CA.
It depends what business. For tech, PE, VC, and import/export trading, you’d want to start in CA or NY. For real estate that cash flows…red or purple states.

Or Chicago

So, my question is: How do I find the data to follow? I'm not trying to be negative. I promise. I like what you're saying, and I like following you.

This is such a well curated history lesson of businesses!! Love this! Please do more of these if possible. Appreciate all the valuable insights 👏 👏
1:20 Saying there is room in the glasses market is truly making me doubt your expertise. Anyone who does a small amount of market research knows that 1 company holds over 90% of the market share and 99% of shelf space.
I know , that means its ripe for disruption, which is probably something she should explore
Luxottica holds 90% of the market share today only because they bought all the small companies in the same industry.
I would like to ask u codie if u have any opinion on agribusiness ideas and models since food and tech are continusously scaling upwards on demand.
Therapy plus cab or limo ride; tinted windows? Get it done in 1 hour ride across town..have a driver that is separate…or the driver is the therapist…spin on Cab stories…

@CodieSanchez, what do you think about helping a band pick a product to sell on the road and a ecommerce product(s)! It's a challenge, come on!
Codie! I literally clicked in to say what a great thumbnail for this video!
Must have watched that recent Mr. Beast video!
Did she forget Funeral Homes? That will never go out of "favor"
It’s not sexy enough to sell her course because that was all what this was.

What do you think about selling insurance?
pharmacies can be hit or miss, insurance companies wont update prices for certain drugs and it may cost the pharmacy 100+ dollars per sale to even carry the item.
Great breakdown
.. physical businesses with store fronts are dead in NYC.. unless you cater to the affluent crowd..I live there
How do you feel about cleaning companies that cater to Airbnb’s? Do you think that’s a lucrative business?
Been tracking Revux development. Impressed with the progress!
Is it applicable for just US or all countries?
I refuse to go to the big drug stores anymore. Even in the decent parts of town, addicts and bums chase you from your car to the front door of the pharmacy and back again. Their lines are long and there is no one to answer questions.

Would you put bookkeeping businesses on that list?
@-Codie_SanchezCT I do not use whatsapp but am open to other options
The buzz around Cyberopolis is real. Just joined their community and it's electric!
i usually agree but this list i disagree on atleast 2 things
In the next bull run, keep an eye on DOT, VRA, and SOL, but don't overlook Revux RVX.
Thank you.
Why are there two versions of this video?
Informative, although I disagree that a convenience store would work. We literally buy all our toothpaste, medicine, etc on Amazon. It's delivered same day. There will be no physical convenience stores within 10 years.
@CodieSancchezCT Not much to discuss. Convenience stores are dead. Everyone buying online now. There's a reason CVS and Walgreens are closing down stores across the nation.
The liquidity of Cyberopolis tokens is a major plus.
Revux low presale price is a steal. Time to load up!
Diving deep into Cyberopolis, their roadmap is incredibly promising. This is the future, folks!
the Blogilates approach at the end was money
No need to start a business just purchase stock in these types of businesses.
Revux roadmap looks promising; exciting times ahead!
Presale investments have been my go-to, and Revux is my latest pick. Early birds catch the worm!
Lovely!!!!🎉
maybe its not 7 Businesses but 7 Brands ? that still stand ?
