@@realneilsadventures Sweet! Yeh it is good to clarify when making a video though, a LOT of the station land is leased public land AKA 100% public land. It is difficult to read unless looking at parcels. In the lease contract the station owners cannot withhold access. I looked on the public access map for this spot and full public access runs straight through the farm meaning you actually don't need to ask permission and they shoudln't be asking for it. It is illegal to block the access (even putting a fence in the way is illegal) - but you know, who can be bothered fighting it up with them?
@@Overourland Only the second time I've been through here and each time the person running the trip has phoned ahead, but in saying that I haven't heard them denying anyone.
Grew up here but those landscapes continue to blow my mind. Really need to ship my 4by over from Aus so I can do some of these tracks. Incredible.
Yes, I like the 4Wdriving better over here as the scenery changers so much.
This is great footage, thanks for sharing.
I'm pleased you liked it.
Just stunning!!
Thankyou.

That is the Lawrence Hut, the only DOC hut in the valley.
Do you need permission from the station to go through the station to access the river?
Yes, must definitely. Permission from Erewhon Station as you are going through their land even the track up the Lawrence is their property.
