This is an amazing film the performances are stellar and a solid Story from beginning to end that covers love betrayal Joy heartbreak friendship and forgiveness Mr Washington does an impeccable directing job from a play written by the late Mr August Wilson

It's a mash up of a lot of true stories from back then. Kind of how Dream Girls was a mash up of what happened to a lot of black groups from back then. It's a great movie/ play.
Saying "I'm sorry" and "owning up" are two different things. Troy confessed to his wife that he was engaged in an ongoing relationship that has resulted in a pregnancy. He also admitted that he had no plans to discontinue the relationship. He brought the baby home! THAT is owning up. Saying "I'm sorry" would only contradict the truths he just told.
