I'm listening to the audiobooks he did now. What a gifted actor.
Jeez, Andy is a living treasure at this point. Marvelous then and even now. Gotta check that audiobook out.
His doing these audio books is what got me to finally read them. I was so mad when i found out they were audible exclusives, but relatively recently they aren't anymore, and my library got some. I actually got a seattle library card because my library, for some reason, didn't have the hobbit or fellowship. I'm currently at the tail end of fellowship and it has been a fun treat to hear this version. If there is a version of andy serkis reading them why would i listen to any other?
Absolute legend in the entertainment industry.. if this guy was not in it we wouldn’t have half the stuff as good as it is today thank Andy for all the wonderful performances and don’t ever retire.
Side note: another Brit with awesome acting credentials
Just finished listening to "Return of the King" read/spoken/performed by Serkis. Simply Stunning.
I literally just finished Andy Serkis' LOTR audiobooks and they were absolutely astounding. I highly recommend people listen to it, same with his Hobbit audibook
I have finished The Hobbit with Mr Andy and currently reading The Fellowship of The Ring while listening to his narration and OMG he’s so amazing and what an experience I’m really happy he narrated the trilogy
@@fatimakhaldoun6954 In my opinion, I liked his narration of the hobbit more than LOTR but I think because I liked the hobbit more, it's a bit easier to follow along but you'll love the journey. His voices of each character are spot on
Andy is a delightful person and a very talented artist.
Yes indeed.
Imagine how cool it must have been growing up hearing him read your bedtime stories
Don't forget Andy was also part of the Princess Bride Home Video project, where he was Count Rugen opposite Elijah Woods' Prince Humperdinck.
Stephen mouthed the words “My Precious” along with Andy. Man, that’ll be a moment he’ll remember the rest of his life.
This man's talent...and that remarkable head of hair! Love the absolute delight on Stephen's face as he can't help mimicking the lines.
Pretty sure Stephen almost cried in joy at the end there. Magic.
Andy Serkis is a real treasure. He has been a great steward of the Tolkien works.
It’s impossible not to adore Andy. And Stephen is like a little kid watching his childhood hero. Absolutely delightful!
The live reading started at 5am my time and it was SO worth five or ten dollars and waking up before the crack of dawn. Andy Serkis did a degree of impressions of his castmates for the official audiobook of The Hobbit, but he went even harder for the live read. I'd encourage everyone to go take a listen. The man is so incredibly talented and does not get enough credit.
3:50 when Stephen starts mouthing the words, he is all of us.
Every fan boy and girl.
Liked it right away, since I saw part one! Andy is a creative genius!
