Played it using @henrikomagnificoshowcase 4K texture pack, such a cool way to re-experience the game. • Zelda: Ocarina of Time...
Ocarina of Time is set in the fictional kingdom of Hyrule, the setting of most Legend of Zelda games. Hyrule Field serves as the central hub connected to several outlying areas with diverse topography and the races of Hyrule.
The fairy Navi awakens Link from a nightmare in which he witnesses a man in black armor pursuing a young girl on horseback. Navi brings Link to the Great Deku Tree, who is cursed and near death. The Deku Tree tells Link that a "wicked man of the desert" cursed him and seeks to conquer the world and that Link must stop him. Before dying, the Great Deku Tree gives Link the Spiritual Stone of the Forest and sends him to Hyrule Castle to speak with Hyrule's princess..

While its possibly been surpassed since its launch in 98, it's hard to forget just how big a leap this game was.
Whilst other developers were still struggling with 3D cameras, OoT was film like. Cutscenes are directed, with different sound, lighting and framing which helps with the story telling.
And of course gameplay was near flawless. And it's still damn good 20+ years on and deserving the occasional replay.
God that nostalgia. Hits me right in the feels. Good vid

This was actually pretty cool! I can see why it was so popular. Never played any Zelda games and this is the first game movie I've watched in the series; pretty impressive! I really liked the use of those different melodies to warp or perform other functions; curious if the other games do the same. This game felt kind of like a beginning, so I'll look for game movies after it but not the prior ones - I want to see the next chapter in this story. 🙂 Thanks again GLP! 🐧

This took me by surprise! Been watching your channel for damn near 7 years and never saw other zelda besides BOTW lol. Good seeing this, and i guess you're very much hyped for TOTK too :)
Funny part is I actually love Zelda with a passion, but we don't typically do Nintendo stuff. Ocarina is my favorite game of all time hands down. Views-wise, Nintendo stuff they never really hit for us, because I think Nintendo fans tend to gravitate toward Nintendo-centric channels. But, nonetheless can't wait for TOTK and can't wait to make some videos! Also have more Zelda stuff going up the next couple of days!

This remaster in hd was fantastic! I bought a ds just to play this and MM. I cant understand why Nintendo doesn't release this on the switch. Its such a great game especially with the updated graphics. Its seems like Nintendo would make a ton of money from it if they released it on switch.

You've probably figured it out by yourself already, but just in case: He's using a 4K Custom Texture Pack made by Henriko Magnifico. These are not the original 3DS textures.

ps1 didn't have close to this fidelity. this is more in line with GameCube graphics
not even ps2 has graphics like this
