    Bad idea for the pump location. The pump get very hot when running to the point where it will burn you if you touch it. Wires and other crucial parts should not be touching or in close proximity to the pump. Also the pump needs air flow to remove the heat ove the heat sink on the piston head. Yohr location will cause premature pump failure. Beautiful bike btw im gonna do a rg convert on my rk eventually. I had the monores on my custo. Kit fyi and i didnt like them they cracked on me an at bottomed out the let my fender sit on my tire. I went with the gabriel shocks. Same price but one inch longer and i like the build better. Stay safe out there n enjoy the ride

    $40 more dollars you could've got a JNR Designed air suspension. Everything you needed and video's on where to put everything. But your look like a good setup specially for $250

    So I read through your comments on your build. What I’m needing to know is what size compressor did you use? Thanks!

  • @g3graphicsprinting791
    @g3graphicsprinting791 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are you using a solenoid to fill the shocks or just using the toggle switch to activate the compressor to fill. Also did you do any modifications to the shocks themselves. Read guys are rewelding the joints where the eyelets are and also putting a limiter inside so it doesn’t over air and the shock separate

  • @roytx
    @roytx 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    First the bike looks amazing. What air compressor are you using for that setup. Did you use the corvette shocks as indicated in 999customs post? How long did it take you to get everything setup? Did you have to prefabricate a bracket to get air compressor mounted? Thank you for posting to TH-cam. It really helps seeing the application.

    • @maxgtv3246
      @maxgtv3246  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Roy Smith Sorry for the late reply but yes they are the Corvette shocks, no special fabricating was needed, I used a
      viair compressor and the setup took about 3 hrs but the longest part is figuring out where you want everything to go.

    • @bryanbyrd5980
      @bryanbyrd5980 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why from a Corvette? Is it because of how tall they are? I am building a 81 CX 500d trident trike and I want to put air shocks in the rear. Because when trident built the trike part they re used the cx500d stock shocks. And I want to be able to drop it on the ground when parked. Any information would be appreciated thank you for your time

    I've got a question where do you buy the kit from and what do you ask for when you're buying it I want to try to install it on my bike I'm handicapped and it's hard for me to get on my bike I would love to be able to drop it and then pick it back up but it cost too much money to do all that but this is a reasonable price for sure

    I'm wondering if these shocks would work on a sportster without the pump. Just a valve stem teed to both shocks? Find the ride you like and leave it.

    I'm stuck on the dump valve part. So there's supposed to be a line on the in and out side of it? I seen one where they had only one line.

    • @maxgtv3246
      @maxgtv3246  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jason Green
      Not sure how a single line would work.
      1 line would have to to go in from the compressor and the other would have to connect to the shocks.

    • @jasongreen3027
