no the reason for "why" is because it does 0.5x damage to steel types as is programmed in each game. na but seriously not all type matchups have a theme or a story behind the effectiveness. steel resists more than half of all the types, and thats mainly just because its the most solid dense "material" to many other type attacks. but yeah its nice that theres a theme/story there but not all matchups have one cos theres too many to really go into

Dragon type Pokémon are still some of the best Pokémon out there. They’re so cool that they made one of Charizard Mega Evolutions into a Fire Dragon type, & that’s saying a lot
I don’t think so, some placements could be debated but for the most part the placements are pretty accurate, and the reasoning are also common arguments in the PKM community

There was also an NPC in-game that said that Ghost was supereffective against Psychic, so it was probably just coded wrong. However gen 1 had the problem of only having 3 ghost type attacks: Confuse Ray, which is a status move, Night Shade, which is a set-damage move and Lick with only 30 base power so the Psychic types wouldn't suffer too much in gen 1 anyways

Grass was always my favourite, despite its drawbacks. If they can learn Rock moves, they can hit 4 out of 5 of its weaknesses. Ghost and Steel were also favourites of mine, while Fire being my next favourite starter type. If Fire types can learn Solar Beam, it can counter its weaknesses.
honestly if bug/steel wasnt double weak to fire it would be the best type combo... i mean 8 resistances and 1 immunity... if it wasnt for the fact that ember is basicly death to them they would dominate
One major problem with Electric Types isn't weakness, resistence, or effectiveness. It's the lack of movepools for a lot of them. It's probably the type overall that has the most amount of Pokemon that don't cover type matchups well.
I've seen the argument that Fairy or Steel are number 1, not Dragon. I personally think Steel is best on the defense but not on the offense so it depends on your strategy.
Ice types are made to be good at Attacking but 99% or all ice types have high Defense and Sp. Defense. what makes it even worse is that almost all water type pokemon can learn ice beam and a type with good defense always get a good offensive attack
Personally, I'm just glad Fairy wasn't number 1, really just cause I think it's a dumb typing, and that most of the Fairy type designs introduced were horrendous. Nowadays they've done better, but back in gen 6, most of the Fairy designs were hot garbage. Anyways, favorite typing is Steel, mainly for the opposite reasons. I mean, just look at the base designs for Steel types anyway, Magneton and Steelix are already top tier. But then we got Metagross and Skarmory, Aggron and Empoleon, and eventually Excadrill and Escavalier, plus Aegislash's whole line.
Good lord this list is bad, dragon isn’t even a top 3 type since it has 2 weaknesses and is only strong to itself, fairy, steel, and water are far better types
Generally agree with this list, though I would rank ground way higher than 11. It's a credibly and reliably offensive threat, and a staple for move slots in a lot of playthroughs, casually and competitively.
There are only 3 pure Flying types, 2 of which evolve into a steel flying type and the last one is a Legendery so you can almost say that there is no pure flying type
Normal only has one defensive weakness, and while it doesn't resist anything, it is immune to Ghost. Also, Normal is one of the less resisted types, as aside from Ghost being immune to it, only Rock and Steel resist Normal. Ice is far worse than Normal, as it only resists itself and is weak to four types. Rock and Grass are each weak to five types, and Bug and Grass are each resisted by seven types while only being super effective against three (in Bug's case, it's super effective against mediocre types, while with Grass, Water can better handle Ground and Rock, and Electric can better handle Water. Also, Ground, Fighting, and Steel can also better handle Rock). Not to mention Bug has the lowest fully evolved base stat total on average of all types.
I think steel is better than dragon because while dragon types usually have better stats, steel resists and effectively damages more types. But good ranking overall
I think snow teams are really good they make ice type Pokémon incredibly bulky and it helps them kill Pokémon quicker with the weather on the field. I do not think that ice types suck is really the truth anymore and we have gen 9 to thank for giving them buffs.
As an ice type fan I have a question how does it feel to be at the receiving end of a overpowered frostlas with a abomnisnow working together abomnisnows blizzard with frostlas’s snowcloak well that’s how I became a ice type fan
They nerfed dragon types by making an even stronger type and the steel types that are also a top tier became even stronger, well done game freak sarcasm
soooo.....i play pokemon go...and i have the following types: Fairy, Psychic, Fire, Ice, Electric, Rock, Grass, Poison, and Dragon....and I Fight with water, Ice, Fairy and steel types....i love all mah pokemon XD and if you play pokemon VIA VR...you can pet the pokemon too pikachu is sooo soft XD
Let's be real, Ice should probably be resistant to normal type attacks in the next type rebalance. It falls into the "Hardened objects" category much like rock and steel albeit to a lesser extent. Though if frozen gold enough, it is possible for Ice to be sharper and harder than various metals including rock or steel. Though sharper/harder doesn't mean tougher and they're all weak to fighting types for similar reasons. Ground and Ice should also be super effective against each other realistically speaking since Earth tremors break ice similar to why it breaks ice or steel. Ice also realistically should be super effective against bug. Sure some of these might be going overboard with Ice having too many weaknesses and effective against too many types. As well as Bug already having too many weaknesses with Ground being effective against too much. Perhaps we could have another type or two that helps with those balances; I also thought Fairy should have been super effective against both dark and ghost and not just dark.
Bug only hits Grass, Psychic, and Dark types for super effective damage; is resisted by Fighting, Flying, Poison, Ghost, Steel, Fire, and Fairy; resists Fighting, Ground, and Grass; and is weak to Flying, Rock, and Fire.

If this were a list on which type had the coolest looking Pokémon steel would be number 1 and fairy types would be lower fight me comments section!!!
I think steel is better than dragon because while dragon types usually have better stats, steel resists and effectively damages more types. But good ranking overall
I think Steel types should've been #1 😅
What about Every Yu-Gi-Oh type ranking of these listed types?
Aqua, Pyro, Thunder, Rock, Plant, Machine, Beast, Winged Beast, Insect, Fish, Reptile, Dragon, Dinosaur, Sea Serpent, Wyrm, Spellcaster, Zombie, Fiend, Fairy, Warrior, Beast Warrior, Psychic, Cyberse, Divine Beast
Pokébark gotta climb then all
♪ Think twice about Ice to be #1! ♪
I think snow teams are really good they make ice type Pokémon incredibly bulky and it helps them kill Pokémon quicker with the weather on the field. I do not think that ice types suck is really the truth anymore and we have gen 9 to thank for giving them buffs.
Light type pokemon
Alright let's see how this goes.
Fairy or Steel should be number 1 (I haven't watched the video yet)
I prefer steel honestly
I hope one day we see a dragon / fighting type idk if they have one I only played up to gen 6
They have in sun and moon
koraidon pokemon scarlet is one
@@beerguy177 oh wow he looks cool ngl
@@Maxjuliann kommo-o is another fighting dragon type from scarlet/violet
I’m sure there’s gonna be a lot of Pokémon fans wars in the comment section
I believe that grass and steel were put too low on this list. Also electrolytes are far more powerful than they used to be.
They should Skylanders or some of the most famous TH-camrs
Well at least fighting type is in the top ten because it is my favorite type
Steel is my fave
fairy types cant be nerfed...unless you account for their cuteness factor XD
WatchMojo used all items at once
My favorite pokemon is Charizard.
Honestly, this isn't a bad list 🤷
Choose your side Charizard or Blastoise
As an ice type fan I have a question how does it feel to be at the receiving end of a overpowered frostlas with a abomnisnow working together abomnisnows blizzard with frostlas’s snowcloak well that’s how I became a ice type fan
Every type is common according to this 🤣
They nerfed dragon types by making an even stronger type and the steel types that are also a top tier became even stronger, well done game freak sarcasm
The Pokémon is an awesome cartoon
Yes ❤
soooo.....i play pokemon go...and i have the following types: Fairy, Psychic, Fire, Ice, Electric, Rock, Grass, Poison, and Dragon....and I Fight with water, Ice, Fairy and steel types....i love all mah pokemon XD and if you play pokemon VIA VR...you can pet the pokemon too pikachu is sooo soft XD
Ice types got buffed with the new weather move snow and boost the defense by 50% there not weak now
They are not as weak anymore.
They would've been Stronger if they only didn't resist themselves
They still weak without a few resistances. What about poison and fairy at the least? Hmm
@@darkdragonmedeus705 I eat Ice and I'm Normal (JOKE DON'T REPLY TO THIS)
Bug type should have been the worst... they're weak to like everything including ice lmao
Bug only hits Grass, Psychic, and Dark types for super effective damage; is resisted by Fighting, Flying, Poison, Ghost, Steel, Fire, and Fairy; resists Fighting, Ground, and Grass; and is weak to Flying, Rock, and Fire.
