one of the best songs ever composed, its an inspiration for me as a guitarist and a musician, love the fusion of electronic music and guitar. My favorite thing about this song, is how they completely mute the audio for a split second before landing on a massive guitar chug that is backed by the entire band... it adds so much impact while you are blasting it in the car with nice speakers. Very well written song worth of study for anyone who is into music. I also recommend the opening for the visual novel, Skyclad Observer, Kanako Ito is a very unique and wonderful singer.
@@DrumRollTonyReacts goated video btw, its nice to hear someone else gush over such a great song, i don't have many musician friends so they don't pick up on the intricacies.
I like to think the part with the chorus that you mentioned in relation to the D-Mail and all that is intentional because the original creator of Steins;Gate (and the bigger series it's part of, the Science Adventure Series) is the one who actually composed this song and wrote its lyrics, and he does that a lot for all the other entries in the Science Adventure Series as well.

@@Spid4r1 The canonical events of Steins;Gate do not follow the release order of the anime. Absolutly one of my favorite anime ever, got really nostalgic for it while watching your breakdown of the op🥲. Great video, wondering if you'll do a reaction for "to you 2000 or 20000 years from now" it's from AOT original soundtrack and it's the last OST played in the show, you never did a reaction to that one.
Tony, SG have symphonic versions of all of its soundtracks and even if you don't react to them I definitely think you should check them out in your own time, you would love them.
Don't know if you already watched all the episodes, but if you wan't to watch Steins Gate 0 (the other season) too, maybe you should watch in the "recommended way" In Steins Gate "classic" (the one that you're watching), watch the ep 22 and stop. Then you watch the bridge episode of Steins Gate 0 (can be named as Episode 23b or Episode 0). Then you watch all the Steins Gate 0 episodes, so you go back to episode 23 of Steins Gate Classic. I recommend this, because Steins Gate 0 is a full season between the two half of ep 23, so this way you know whats happening on backstages and get the better ending on the final.
You have to react to the Endings and other OSTs as well! If you ever continue to 2nd Season, you REALLY have to react to it's OSTs. My favorite Steins;Gate song is "Lyra" by Zwei which the Ending Song for S2 EP8, if I remember correctly. Have fun on your Steins;Gate reaction journey. El Psy Congroo!
For every time that we over interpret art into being more clever than it really is, we probably miss something really clever that an artist intended. Split the difference and just let them have the win I guess
Your video is very interesting and unique in its interpretation of the music of this anime. It's a pity that you don't know Japanese, otherwise you would have a deeper feeling for the lyrics. Although I don't know if you have watched the entire animated series But the OP in episodes 1-22 of this animation used the first half of the song when it was released, while the OP in episodes 22-24 used the second half of the song in response to the changes in the plot (the graphics also changed like JOJO . this trick is also used in Steins;Gate 0. Let's discuss it when you make a video about it.😁), and even the song from the original game was inserted into the climax of the animation to create an atmosphere. The animation production team also attached great importance to the importance of music in this work. (BTW, the lyrics and music of this song were written by the representative director of the company that owns the original game of this animation. Since he himself is a game music producer, he is responsible for almost all the music of the games released by his company) I also want to recommend the OP of the game version to you There are XBOX and PC versions of course, there are other platform versions as well,But personally, I think these two versions are more related to the animated version Suggest watching in the following orde XBOX → PC → animate
I agree with you on how over exaggerated it is when people claim that a song's writing is based on the show's plot down to the details, you'd have to be a freaking genius to create something that deep.

Just great quality.
El psy congaroo
You have to react to the Endings and other OSTs as well! If you ever continue to 2nd Season, you REALLY have to react to it's OSTs.
My favorite Steins;Gate song is "Lyra" by Zwei which the Ending Song for S2 EP8, if I remember correctly. Have fun on your Steins;Gate reaction journey. El Psy Congroo!
hope you watch steins gate 0 after that
Definitely will
For every time that we over interpret art into being more clever than it really is, we probably miss something really clever that an artist intended. Split the difference and just let them have the win I guess
Best anime ever!
STEINS GATE IS SO DAMN GOODDDDDDD
Btw ado dropped the instrumental to show, if you wanna check that out
👀
Steins gate is one of my most favorite animes of all time, It’s top 5 for me 😢
This song also has a symphonic version, which is also extremely good, recommend you to listen to it.
Juicy karaage number 1, WOWW.
Oh mayuri :(
Btw the lyric of the opening suit the anime very well.
The dungeon meshi pop up to say it’s on Patreon got me. Just letting u know
I love that anime
Your video is very interesting and unique in its interpretation of the music of this anime.
It's a pity that you don't know Japanese, otherwise you would have a deeper feeling for the lyrics.
Although I don't know if you have watched the entire animated series
But the OP in episodes 1-22 of this animation used the first half of the song when it was released, while the OP in episodes 22-24 used the second half of the song in response to the changes in the plot (the graphics also changed like JOJO . this trick is also used in Steins;Gate 0.
Since he himself is a game music producer, he is responsible for almost all the music of the games released by his company)
I also want to recommend the OP of the game version to you
There are XBOX and PC versions
of course, there are other platform versions as well,But personally, I think these two versions are more related to the animated version
Suggest watching in the following orde
XBOX → PC → animate
You can also check (on your own, if you want) the symphonic version of this song. It's majestic.
Definitely an all time favorite for me. I hope you enjoy it and also watch Steins;Gate 0!
Hope you react to more steins;gate OST!
I agree with you on how over exaggerated it is when people claim that a song's writing is based on the show's plot down to the details, you'd have to be a freaking genius to create something that deep.
Yeah, getting a lot of details into it would be insane, but getting a few details in is very possible.
@@YamiAi Yeah they're usually made with the show's themes in mind.
