Great video. I flew with Eva Air for the first time on October of 2024. It was a flight from Clark Intl Airport to Taipei and it was a Sanrio themed plane. It was really nice for me, but they really need to update their inflight entertainment, the screens and remotes are sometimes not working or it’s always really laggy. The food was really good too, it was so good that I asked for seconds. I would rate my experience with Eva Air a 9/10. They just need to do better with their inflight entertainment, but other than that it’s a really smooth flight with great food. 😅
Thank you! I’d love to experience flying from Clark and on the Sanrio-themed plane too :)) The food was really great, but I agree, the IFE definitely needs some updates to match their competitors.
Flew on EVA several times. It's the layover in Taipei that creates a little inconvenience but they have easy access WiFi. The food was excellent and when you have children, the flight attendants were very helpful. Now that they have flights to Clark International, we will definitely stay with EVA.
Thank you for this video. We're actually considering EVA for our next flight to the US. We've been flying PAL to LAX every year since 2022 and we feel it's time to explore other options - that is if we're lucky to take dear Mama out of her comfort zone which is PAL hahaha. For price point comparison with PAL and other airlines that fly to the US, EVA is definitely worth considering.
Just flew from Clark to LAX this last October with EVA, and yeah, my experience with the airline has been consistently quite comfortable and pleasant. My cousin also flies from Cebu to LAX with EVA, and like me, her experience with the airline has also been consistently impressive. EVA is a lot cheaper than PAL yet is light years ahead when it comes to everything, whether it's food, comfort or service. I also fly to Chicago O'Hare and once to Paris CDG with EVA, which are destinations that PAL doesn't fly to right now. Kailangan mo nga lang mag layover sa Taoyuan Airport between NAIA/Clark/Cebu and your final destination, but it's a lot nicer than it sounds because Taoyuan Airport is a very lovely place to spend time in. Lots of good restaurants and cultural activities both sa airside and landside (the beef noodle soup at the food court in T2 is amazing), WiFi is free, fast and easily accessible, and they even have Japanese toilets. Dahil may visa free agreement ang Pilipinas at Taiwan, pwede ka rin lumabas saglit ng security area without needing a visa and visit the facilities sa landside, or maybe even take a quick trip to Taipei kung matagal layover mo. Yung immigration sa Taoyuan is lightning fast and efficient unlike in NAIA and Tom Bradley sa LAX, to the point na kaya mo makarating mula airplane to arrivals area in less than 20 mins.
@@thelordoflulz Thank for the feedback on EVA. Will really consider this airline for our next trip to the US this fall. With regards to Taoyuan Airport, I agree with you. It's a fab airport - been there na din. Happy travels this new year!!!
@@Biyajimenez Thank you! Will really consider EVA for our next trip to US this fall. But yes, good luck to us in convincing dear Mama not to take PAL this time hahaha. Happy travels this new year!!!
@@johndwightestur5670You're welcome! Hope you enjoy your upcoming travels too. I think the HUGE price difference alone between PAL and EVA would be enough to convince your Mom hahaha. For my last flight to LA, I bought my plane ticket with EVA at a little less than 700 USD during the Great BDO Travel Sale. PAL was also participating in said sale, but a flight to LAX with them would cost me a little more than 1200 USD, although direct flight nga naman. You could also convince your Mom by informing her that EVA is rated by Skytrax as one of only ten 5-Star Airlines in the entire world, a title it holds alongside industry legends like Singapore Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines and Qatar Airways, which is a testament to how great of an airline it is. Good luck convincing your Mom hahahaha
EVAAir has the best in flight meal I've had so far. My 11 to 14 hr flights usually have 3 full hot meals. I am stuffed by the time I land. My 2 hr flight to Taipei even had 1 hot meal, when usually I'd get a cookie in Air Canada or WestJet lol.
I been using Eva every time I go home, from Los Angles to Taipei and from Taipei to CRK. They are amazing and very hospitable. Probably depends on how you treat them and they can be nice or rude.
I am a senior passenger on a wheelchair assist, and I flew with EVA, MNL to SFO, legroom Is great, food is good, FA's are so helpful Assisting my carryon, thanks to the inflight crew ...I highly recommend EVAair...
We always flew on EVA air going to the U.S., good food, smooth flights & roomy seats. That is despite of the lay over in Taipei. still we would choose this airline. 👍
Bonjour mes amis, just returned home to Manila last week after my holiday in France 🇫🇷 with a side trip to neighbouring Switzerland and Deutschland, brought in 3 guests my friend Alain and his wife Mireille who are French from Lyon and Bernard a Swiss 🇨🇭 from Geneva. Our Air France flight left Paris Charles de Gaulle at 11:45pm Central European Time upon climbing saw the majestic Bird's Eye view of the Eiffel Tower 🗼 at night it was like a Crown Jewel and a lovely sight as I bid “Au Revoir et À Bientôt Paris " that's Goodbye and See you again Paris then onwards to Southern Germany, Austria, Hungary and Romania then towards the Black Sea over Northern coast of Turkiye then to Georgia and Azerbaijan and the Caspian Sea approached daylight into Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan then the Desert region of Xinjiang in Western China heading Southeast saw the Tibetan Plateau in the distance before reaching Southern China and out into the South China Sea heading to North Luzon upon reaching Clark we began our descent and landed in Manila at 7:14pm, it was 12hr 48min flight. Most of the passengers on our flight are Filipinos from across Europe there's also French, Belgian, Swiss, Swedish and British nationals on board. They'll be here in the Philippines for a month and getting ready to return to France in July. Better start practicing your French and save up if you plan to travel on Air France on your next vlog. Bonne Chance et Bon Voyage.
If flying through Seattle or Vancouver and need wheel chair assistance good luck. Going through Vancouver EVA employee providing wheel chair dumped me at baggage claim and not to connecting flight gate (west air). It was a long walk with a cane and frequent stops, some sitting on the floor. Last year flying through Seattle no wheel chairs at EVA gate. 20 of us were abandoned there for over an hour awaiting wheelchairs.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with EVA,I’m planning to go to the Philippines,I always fly through Cathay Pacific and Philippine Airlines, because of the convenience Toronto-Manila direct flight Philippine Airlines,Toronto via Anchorage direct flight to HK then Manila,I’m considering EVA but now that I’ve read your comment then is a no no for me,I’m a senior so navigating around the Airport’s without any help or assistance is really hard for me.
To my understanding airlines report the request to the airport operator and it is their responsibility to provide these services, not the airline. The airline pay for the service to the airport operator. So the issue likely is with them not the airline
haven't tried EVA air yet, my flight had to be cancelled due to change of plan. I was supposed to fly Munich Germany to Cebu with them. I always fly Emirates or Turkish airlines.
W0 shang ni Eva Air a certified ofw 3x passenger of Eva Air from 1997 up to 2003 ( kahit medyo maalog unlike ng PAL na very smooth) see you soon again Taipe in God's will
Yup, I have relatives who always take EVA Air to Canada too. It was definitely evident on this flight with all the multiple bags being checked! :)) thanks for watching!
Was the Economy cabin configured to 3-3-3 seating? If yes, this is something worth noting since most airlines have configured their B777 3-4-3 in the back.
EVA Air's downside is the plane fare. It is pricier than that of CAL. This is based on our experience wherein we are familiar with the moves of Taiwan authorities nowadays.
Nice and for Eva Air they really beat Philippine Airlines from the US to MNL/CEB. Sadly Illocanos will be split between BR233 from BR11/15/17/27 vs PR103/105
Hi! I just booked my flight on Eva Air. Their booking site did not accept my First name (consisting of 2) so I just combined my names without space. I read that you can contact their Customer Service to have your name corrected in your ticket to match your passport. Did you experience the same thing?
Hi! Don’t think it’s gonna be a problem but you can call them ahead of time just to be sure. I had great experience with EVA Air’s customer service (which i’ll discuss in another video), however they’re only open during weekdays.
