I actually asked him where Chris and Snoop was at😂😂😂 it felt like we in the “Stansfield Organization” and they needed to be there. That’s how much He was Marlo. We only saw him as Marlo. He started bust in’ out laughing
Love how people think Marlo was nothing without Chris. The fact that he follows Marlo says a lot about who Marlo is. The fact that he didn't want to tell Marlo about Omar says a lot.
Now you made me think. You got fucking right. Maybe Chris already knew up about Marlo being a psychopath or something like that. Just when Marlo put his gun in the mouth of that girl and pulled the trigger, you know that boy is really fucked up inside lol
Chris didn’t want to tell Marlo about Omar because he knew Marlo’s ego was too big and there was no way to guarantee a result when warring against Omar which is why Chris wanted to leave Omar alone in the first place. Chris’ thinking proved true as it was a child with no connection to the Stansfield crew that solved their problem. And Omar was a problem as we saw that he knew exactly where everyone was from the list in his pocket. Chris was saving Marlo. Plenty of people have managed to get heavy muscle to follow them without doing a bunch of dirty work. Marlo fed them all which is a good way to do that.
@@johntaaustin293 It wasn't just Marlo. It was everyone. If someone called Omar out, he would respond as well. Chris didn't make the smart decision because if Marlo dies, he dies. He said it himself when he was warned about wearing the crown, prisons and graveyards are full of boys that have worn the crown. THE POINT IS THEY WORE IT. That's what it was about. Chris didn't want to mess with Omar because he knows what Omar is capable of. Marlo and Avon were the same in that they wanted him dead. However, Marlo looked weak because Chris didn't tell Marlo the truth. Kenard was connected to the Stanfield crew, unless it wasn't him.
Erick Santos you’re right Kenard was a street kid who worked for Michael & Michael worked for Marlo. A very distant and loose connection but you are a right a connection all the same. Chris understood Marlo’s obsession with having his name go down in the history books but also how many people failed in trying to put an end to Omar. Hard to beat a homeless guy who has no connection to the game other than a blind man that it seems only Prop Joe knew about for a while. Marlo’s obsession with going down in history wasn’t even realized. In the end, kids on the corner had already forgotten him & Omar was still being discussed.
His last scene on the show where he confronts the young hoods on the street in a suit showed exactly that he can hold his own . Even after getting out and walking away with virtually no legal ramifications despite being responsible for god nmknows how many murders he was willing to face any danger over his name. He missed the life. He definitely wasn't no punk.

I always see the irony in things. Marlo ended up with everything Stringer Bell kept trying to get without actually pursuing it. I always thought that was funny
But in the end Marlo never got what he wanted, respect on his name. This is shown when he leaves the party early and encounters street thugs, who don't recognize him as Marlo. Omar on the other hand, is constantly talked about even after he dies, he became a legend through his actions. Marlo wanted his name to ring the same as Omar's in the streets
They both got hustled the same way by that crooked white attorney. The subtext of the show is that No Man is Bigger Than the Machine, Society or the System they operated in. One person dies, another fills their road. Stringer Dies, Marlo is pulled in as the food for the rich to eat, just like they did Stringer Bell. This is opposed to a show like The Shield which was all about an individual becoming bigger than what he has sworn to serve. All these stories ended the same with ppl never ending up exactly where they wanted to be.
Kieron Francis he was a snake that would kill his own niggas to get to the top. Slim was that dude, Omar was that dude, maybe even Michael. I like his character thou, had that all business no bullshit vibe always g’d up.
You played the Marlo character very well. I grew up in the hood and experienced real life characters like Marlo (a young boy making big moves on the street) even scared the OG's, very strategic, calm, smart, violent and unpredictable. You held it down sir, very believable performance.

That scene was incredible! You could literally feel the emotional inflection and mood change. The few times in the show when you actually witness Marlo getting visibly angry! That was a powerful scene! Well done Jamie Hector, well done!
I've never once thought I was watching an actor saying lines, all I could see was Marlo
The Wire is so good you have to watch it more than once
The is a Masterpiece!!! And Master Class on Business! Love it!❤❤❤
I want to see him in more movies!!
Funniest thing. Zip came back to the hood to chill with us at a 9oz day event. While we were posted up chilling....
Marlo face cold expression are flawless
When I ran a shop, and my numbers dropped, I damn sure did something about it. I would've loved to seen a prequel on Marlo running a shop, and doing something about it when his numbers dropped.
😂😂😂😂
I keep coming back to this scene... a true classic!
One of the finest performances EVER! Brilliant acting!
Damn that scar is real. It was so perfect for the character.
I get so dumbfounded that one of the best shows, and in my opinion he’s one of the best actors in the show never won a big time award. This is literally one of the best shows and acting of all time
The only time Marlo really raises his voice, and he raises it to Chris, a guy nobody else would dare to yell at.
reminds me when ted bundy showed his anger in court after he realized he played his last card and lost.
Oh Yeah.. Price of the brick going up.. Best Marlo scene lol
My favorite character by far from this show! It’s pretty dope 2 hear tha actual actor talk & see that he’s a cerebral guy himself. Ty 4 tha portrayal my brother!
The best VILLAIN to ever bless the silver screen ! Straight up & down . Just like I can't see another O-Dog besides Larenz Tate for Menace , it's like for Jamie Hector as Mr. Stanfield ! Real rap .
you're a phenomenal actor!! i was scared ass hell of Marlo, i thought no way is he acting, that's his personality 4real!!!! peace, luv, & prosperity!!
No wonder Emile was so badass & cool in Halo: Reach!
Jamie Hector’s awesome, I wish he was more mainstream.
This is one of the handful of shows that I have graded AAA, one of the best I've ever seen in my life, now I'm up there in age so I seen a lot😅 outstanding performances from these young men and women, 👏😎
And they both wanted what the other had.
Jamie hector needs more roles he’s one of the best actors I’ve ever seen and I watch a lot of shows
"Do it or don't, but I somewhere to be."
Such massive talent. Such a cast and story. A home run in every sense of the word.
Marlo! Aka Black! The Wire 4Ever!
PLEASE do more of these with this cast! ❤❤❤❤❤ So many classic scenes in the WIRE that fans wonder about till THIS DAY!
Marlo was that dude
Kieron Francis he was a snake that would kill his own niggas to get to the top. Slim was that dude, Omar was that dude, maybe even Michael. I like his character thou, had that all business no bullshit vibe always g’d up.
TJ Daily Marlo was ruthless he wanted the crown by any means. Avon would have to be my favorite character he had a code but still was a G.
Kieron Francis nah fr, I hear u bro
Avon always my fav
Yeah he was👍🏿💯
This dude perfectly summarized a character he played shows why he so good at acting
Crazy the Wire make me wanna be an actor
It makes me wanna be a TV series creator/writer
I could listen to him talk for an hour. Such a great character, played perfectly by a great actor.
Lord this man could play 50 Cent in a biopic!!!
50 needs to play him!
Yep
this boy is a hell of an actor!..not everybody can play a sociopath like that and MARLO was definitely in that category
Brilliant scene. After three seasons of being calm and collected, we see all of Marlos insecurities come out at once.
You played the Marlo character very well. I grew up in the hood and experienced real life characters like Marlo (a young boy making big moves on the street) even scared the OG's, very strategic, calm, smart, violent and unpredictable. You held it down sir, very believable performance.
First time seeing him out of character. He STILL scares me he played Marlo so expertly.
Brotha is an EXCELLENT actor. Saw him in several other programs and he always delivered
Jamie Hector’s face reminds me of a cool cousin to the Cheshire Cat.
This man is fine. ❤️❤️His acting skills is amazing.
The Wire is the most IMPORTANT show ever created.
You did a great job mate. Completely had me in the moment.
When I saw this scene it made me think of Vondas and how he said my name, is not my name. Like how a real smart criminal doesn’t care about street cred and is more interested in not being known and making money.
Dude I loved you in wire. I loved you in hero's. I loved you in the Wu Tang docu-series. Always happy to see you play a character, keep up the good work!
Coldest TV character ever. He palyed Devon in the Queen of the South. Y'all should check that out too.
Yes. Very good show. I like the character Devin
Hector is Marlo and Marlo is Hector...I see it now.
" Look at this like corporate America " Jesus what seperates THE WIRE from every other drug gang show is that the producers knew exactly what they were doing !
Such an interesting way to frame it. Marlo truly did represent cold-blooded capitalism.
The entire series dealt with many themes. Some of them were pretty heavy handed. (The police vs various street factions represented the u.s. invasion of Iraq) but the drug game itself and all the players and victims were a representation of unfettered capitalism and the collateral damage it causes.
On a show of villains, Jamie Hector's performance made Marlo the villain's villain. What a performance.
Great actor
Great actor, his portrayal of Marlo Stansfield is one of the best I've seen, observant on an almost esp level, never saying more than he needs to, and always about the game....
Can we get the scene between Marlo and Avon meeting at Jessup? Such a surprise to see Avon walk out instead of Sergei
That was a very great scene, I loved how they had respect for each other..
_”The Game is The Game.”_ *-Avon*
I looked at it only minutes before:

This guy is one of the best actors I seen! Much love from Chicago
