To an old gearhead there is no better music that a well tuned and cared for slow running engine. Really got a kick on how the ship heeled over the side with starting torque.

Is it the intake valves that open together, or the exhaust? It appears able to turn in its own length - does it have some sort of 'thrusters' or is the rudder able to turn to 90 degrees?

You can see the amount of weight in that flywheel when it starts up! ☺
Love it! At 4:59 that immense flywheel turns clockwise and the whole ship rolls to port. That's a lot of mass.
