Love the sound and look of that engine running. I admire people who has the capacity, time and money to keep this historic items alive. They dont make them like they used to anymore.
How sweet is that engine sound! No wonder the wife gets tears in her eyes when it starts up. It seems to carry you away to some special place that you have never been before!
Oh man, this wonderful brain candy tickles my cerebrum and filled my brain to the rim with happiness. Nice job capturing love; love of honest work, love of beautiful machines, and love of family! A+. Thanks. Peace.
A lovely looking old tug boat from a by gone era and the people who own it r.so happy with it long may they continue sailing in it from belfast northern ireland
As an old retired Elevator Mechanic, that reminded me of some of the old elevator motors and sheaves , pulley, Governor's of some of the pre 1900 elevators. banging and clanging but continuing to run. in momentous harmony and getting the job done. The other interesting thing was the similarity of a lot of words in English that were almost identical there. thanks for the subtitles. that was nice and thanks for sharing.
I LOVE these videos & the pure art of it all. Not to mention capturing a good part the process. Please correct me if I’m wrong. But, I’ve never see an apprentice around any of these.
Thank you so much for giving us English subtitles so that us English speakers can hear the Captain explain the engine in his own words. I watch anyway of course however for me, this is much better. I just love these old machines.
@@henryganzer4685 Thank you, it is. This ship-yard has made some very beautiful ships. In those days, estetics still played a part in ship-design, which can be clearly noticed in the ships of that period. Most of them have beautiful lines and a certain grace. As does this little tug.
On a modern engine, turn on the ignition, into start position and engine's running in a few seconds! How Boring! Your engine runs at a max of 300 rpm, that'll last you at least 100 years. Wonderful video, thanks for posting.
Love the sound and look of that engine running.

They dont make them like they used to anymore.
How comforting it is to hear that engine chugging along. I could listen all day to it idling!!!!!
Thank you for the English subtitle translation, and thank you for posting these wonderful stories.
Another wonderful film of another wonderful boat. Thank you so much for the English subtitles!
Could easily fall asleep listening to that beautiful motor. So relaxing, especially with the sound of the water.
As a Mechanical Engineer, I find this facinating!

I enjoy seeing these beautiful old vessels on your channel. The English subtitles make a big difference. Thank you.
What a lovely couple. You don't need to own the bank of england to have a good quality of life. Just live within your means.
I have been a deutz fan for years although I first saw one in a truck. I like that it was air cooled. Love your engine.
Lovely ship, lovely engine. Thank you for the sub titles in English. Prachtig schip, mooie motor. Bedankt voor de ondertitels in het Engels

She was built in 1918, and fitted in 1954 with an engine that was already 30 years old. Admirable Dutch thriftiness!
Not thriftiness, but "period correct">
I always marvel by the quality of these kind of machines ... still running ...
So lovely. Makes me snoozy and happy.
