    ATTENTION: I made a mistake in the video. I said that Intrinsic Factor is made in the small intestine. However, it's actually released by the parietal cells in the stomach. Thanks to @white-collar clasher for pointing that out.

    Can you please tell us why low b12 leads to heart pollution ? And other heart problems.

    • @InteractiveBiology
      @InteractiveBiology  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Low B12 levels can lead to a type of anemia where red blood cells become larger and inefficient in transporting oxygen. This then puts strain on the heart as it works harder to supply oxygen throughout the body. Also, low B12 can lead to increased homocysteine levels, a risk factor for heart disease. This can lead to artery damage and heart problems. B12 is very important.

    Can B-12 show as normal or high on blood tests and still NOT be absorbed? My doctors never answer this! I have larger fewer reds, doc said it was B-12, folic acid deficiency. I have always taken 5,000 B-12 sublinguals and folic acid 2x per week, and B-12 shows as high on my blood test. I'm dizzy, have numbness in legs, feet, hands, hair loss, super fatigued, weak. and GI issues. Typical symptoms for DECADES! Please, can B-12 show as normal on tests, with pernicious anemia or inability to absorb? NO ONE ANSWERS THIS so I don't know if it's safe to get B-12 shots or not. Doctors see levels on blood tests only and dismiss it. Informative video. Thanks!

      Deficiency in folate can cause it too. B12 needs folate to be absorbed. Amazon has Folate and b 12 supplements. I’ve been so energy less lm near worthless. My dr told me take it sublingual under the tongue.

    Not sure if you can answer this but I had my blood drawn and it was put in the spinner to extract the plasma. The nurse told me the blood cells were blue and she never seen that before. I can’t find any answers on why this happened. I am anemic and have low vitamin D. I’ve been swimming a lot in my pool that has a ionizer which has small amounts of copper ( I’m thinking this might be the cause because it’s the only thing new). I also have RA. I’m just confused why my blood cells would be blue and how I can fix it
