8 Vintage Inspired Christmas Decor DIY’s on a Budget!

- In this video I create eight charming and nostalgic vintage Christmas decor DIY’s using inexpensive supplies. These projects include a vintage clock/radio turned Christmas diorama, a chenille stem tree in a vintage spool, free printable vintage Shiny Brite boxes-one turned into a diorama, a small birdcage from a jar lid and wire, a doorknob hanger from a Dollar Tree snowflake and things from my yard, a vintage Christmas card wreath (free printables), vintage milk cap ornaments (more free printables), and greenery decor with angel wings made from Dollar Tree faux tin tiles.

Oh, thank you, Angela! At first I thought you meant that your grandfather would be upset that I ruined that old radio. Whew! So glad you liked it. It was extra work trying not to damage the clock, so I was relieved at the end to plug it in and see that it still worked! 😀

My mother was very crafty when it came to repurposing stuff from around the farm for indoor and outdoor decor about 50 years before it became trendy. We never threw anything away and I still pick up stuff around the farm and out of my Dad’s tobacco barn to repurpose. I ran across a box full of Christmas cards collected over the years..not sure what the plan is but I drug them home.
❤My favourite project was the antique radio. At first I thought, “No, Sherry!” 😂 But as I watched your vision unfold I thought it was genius. If ever I’m lucky enough to come across a vintage radio that will be my project as well! Well done!❤
Totally agree!! She is so full of talent! My Dad had three of these old clock radios in his garage he’d hung onto. First thing I thought of when I saw this.

I can’t ever decide which I like the most
I've ALWAYS loved dioramas ever since I was a child. They fascinated me. I was given diorama eggs as a child too and kept them til the sugars turned yellow 💛 😉

The radio diorama and the vintage card wreath. But- -I was amazed when you did the snowflake and set the paper on fire! Who knew!? Well, obviously you did but I’d have been trying to cut around every little hole ! Now I know too. You always impart so much knowledge to us. Always look forward to your videos. A lot of my inheritance from my grandmothers are scraps of this and broken pieces of that - all now may see new life in ornaments you inspire me to create!

You never cease to amaze me! I was sufficiently impressed when you made a bird cage ornament out of literally nothing, but then you go and "trim" vintage sheet music to a snowflake by catching it on fire! 😂 I don't know how you think of all these things! The angel wings were my favorite. I could see that piece being seasonal, or even adorning a wall in a shabby chic room with a centerpiece of pastel pink roses and cream-colored lace ribbon!

I, too, am having a much harder time lately finding nice clocks to use for projects. I actually bought two off Facebook Marketplace to use for Christmas projects because I wasn’t seeing anything at the thrift stores.
