That’s is what matters; you love it and had fun creating it. I like the color it ended up, all your applications and the paint decorations. Thank you for sharing.
I'm at the "sewing the scraps on" part, and I think it looks grea6so far. For next tome I encourage you to try different fancy stitches that your machine might do. It's really cool and a neat way to add more delightful details to you shirt. Then do some hand stitching on the smaller pieces, the little pictures... Thoughts for the next shirt! 😁
The shirt looks lovely. Especially since this was your first project of this kind. You have a great eye for mixing patterns and techniques in a way that looks cohesive.
Do it!! It's so fun. The worst that can happen is you don't like it... And in that case, you can just keep messing with it until you do like it! 🤠 Highly recommend. 😂
Technically there is a medium you can mix with acrylic paint to make it better for painting on fabric. I would've used it but I couldn't find it. 😬 It works without it too, but if you're painting a larger area, the medium makes it less stiff when you're done. 😁❤️
Ok, hear me out for the next shirt; I loved the overdye, but those splashes of gold were where I would have done the stencils! I would have saved the patchwork for large pockets in the front, and taken off that collar and either done an interesting collar, or a patchwork hood which would have been a detail when down. Also side hip slits with a peekaboo of different coordinating fabric. My Grandma would have probably done a lace collar and lace at the bottom, and I have seen something similar with a ruffle? Totally forgot what that light fabric is called 😂.
AW I LOVE THAT!! Such a creative suggestion!! I kinda wanted to take some scissors and make a few alterations (especially since it's a men's shirt and I probably could've made it fit a lil better) BUT in my defense... I was scared to do that for my first project. 😬😂 I especially love the idea of the hip slits. I definitely foresee myself trying that in the future. 👀 (Can't guarantee that it'll look great... But hey... It's all about the creativity.) 😂❤️ Thank you!!
Thank you so much for sharing this! You had me laughing out loud, I absolutely love your boldness in creating what will look cute and if it doesn't look cute just move on to the next project! That's exactly how I roll too. So glad you gave @tmyershandmade a shout out, she is my absolute favorite. I think I've made pretty much everything she's posted and I hope you enjoy going on that journey of watching all her tutorials! ❤
Oh when you mentioned t Myers I love her channel and I love your style too I have a flannel shirt in progress of being upcycled and you have given me some great ideas and I subscribe to I like the idea that you also talked about books that you're reading gives me ideas for authors to read 💚
@tabithagabrielle5432 you know what, I don't recall ever actually watching a barbie movie. 🤔 😂 but I have a barbie collection and I'm sure I would love Swan Lake and the princess and the pauper if I saw it! 🥰
I'm so glad to hear this because I always feel like a chaotic crazy person when I'm filming, so if I made you feel better I must be doing something right. 😂
I love your shirt. You could try using Elmers glue stick and glue them on. Be sure to heat set with an iron. This way you avoid getting stuck with pins. Thank you for sharing. God bless.
Ooooo I actually love that idea!! I feel like I've seen something about using Elmer's glue as a way to keep dye off an area too?? Or maybe that's with bleach?? Idk.... Hm... Experimentation time!! 😂👩🔬
Do not make a statement like I always look bad and expect us to just ignore it. I guarantee that you do not always look bad. I think a little confidence boost is in order here. You have the gumption to get on here and put yourself out into the world, which a lot of people don’t have. I haven’t watched your video yet, because I felt the need to make this comment right now. I’m sure you’re pretty good at this or you wouldn’t be trying to tell us how. Buck up, girlie. Life can be pretty good.
Self deprecating humor is the way I roll 😂 I see where you're coming from though I did lay it on heavily in areas. 😬😂 Thank you for the pep talk!! Very encouraging!! ❤️
Here is something I want to try after hitting up every Goodwill and secondhand store in Richmond county and the fabric stores a few yard sales and some estate sales. I could not find the butterfly I wanted and frankly, I spent a lot of money looking for it so yesterday I am in dollar tree and I find this gift bag with a large butterfly and I thought oh my goodness so I bought the gift bag I intend to use this to make a pattern and use fabric applicator on the back of a shirt who knows in the front well I have the problem solved today. I’m going to work on it. There are endless things you can do. My family is now conversing quietly in the corner hey don’t sit down your clothes. The next thing you know, mom might be wearing itmight be a different color, but I know my shirt
Omg Betty I LOVE THAT!! 😂 You're so creative to use a gift bag!! Also, you're right the sky is the limit when it comes to how creative you can be with it!! If you remember, come back and update us when the project is done!! Blessings and best of luck to you. ❤️
Thank you!! 🥰 And I got all the fabric at Hobby Lobby!! When I was getting it cut, the lady said it was from a brand new line they just got. It's SO cute if you can find it!!
Well, I thought your shirt came out cute. I see now why you’re being so self deprecating at the beginning, but it was just overkill. You had me convinced you couldn’t stand yourself. Thank you for an entertaining video.
You are adorable. No need to apologize for anything you do on your videos. Great creation! Well done! You preserved through all the ups and downs. 🙌🤗💗
Thank you!! You are too kind. 🥰❤️

I love it!!!!! What a fun project. My favorite part is the stenciled flowers. This makes me want to go thrifting and DIY my own clothes!

@@tabithagabrielle5432 , just mix it 1/3 fabric softener. That's what is recommended for painting furniture at least?
Ok, much better! Good job.
Thank you!! ❤️
Super cute and so is the shirt!!
Thank you!! 🥰
