I don't have a problem with the Dormamu figure. Still trying to get ahold of Quasar, though I do with they had used a different body mold. The Hood and Marvel Girl are both hard to pose. I don't think anyone can dispute the issue with Invisible Women's head sculpte. And I passed on all these movie and What If figures.
I got that Invisible Woman. Mainly, I just wanted the retro outfit. So, since I was disappointed with the headsculpt as well, I totally swapped out my Walgreens Sue Storm head for that one. I'm much happier with how it looks on my shelf now. I actually don't have issues posing my retro Jean Grey. Is she a disappointing figure? For sure! But, she does look great on my Chris Claremont X-Men display alongside the "Giant Sized" new team. I'll totally swap her out for a new green suit Phoenix given the chance though.
These aren't bad figures if you used them only as 'supporting figures' to add to the feel of a shelf theme or diorama. I use Katy and Death Dealer for example as supporting figures on my Mandarin Spawn (yes Mandarin Spawns by McFarlane Toys) shelf. And they really add big time to the oriental feel. Same thing with Black and Gold suit Spider-Man. If you collect Black Suit figures (Black Suit Superman, etc) and have a dedicated shelf, it's a welcome addition and would add to the look. You just have to know how to use them.
The number one reason you should not like Quasar is because he's a Walgreen's exclusive and therefore hardly any of us can actually buy the fucking thing, even if it is shit.
the T'Challa Starlord looks like one of those cheap 80's Star Wars clone figures... like they're just flat and incomplete. definitely not handled as well as it should have been unfortunately.
Your not the only one. There is a difference with skin tone and the boots, but at a glance yeah - shorts and sandals... definitely doesn't help matters when net hiccups and the video drops to 480p xD
Those aren't supposed to be shorts? I never saw the What if...? show yet & I never saw a full image of T'Challa Star Lord so I always thought that he had shorts on.
Frigging Wolverine claws suck, why do they keep reverting to the ancient hands? Just use the House Of X claws! I love the Hood, the guns and blast effects are awesome...plus you can put the Tony Stark head from Stealth Iron Man on him.
Interesting list, all of your reasons were very understandable and fair. I didn't get too many Marvel Legends this year so I mostly picked what I liked, but there were a few that I personally liked that you mentioned here. I completely get the complaints about Death Dealer's articulation, I was given him as a gift and think he looks awesome on the shelf even just standing there next to Wenwu in a slightly dynamic pose with his knees bent, since most of my MCU villains just stand straight. Dormammu definitely would've looked better with the yellow flame but I'm still glad to finally have that character since I didn't have the earlier ones, and his classic look fits better with my mostly classic villains display. The US Agent did seem a bit off to me, the paint inaccuracies I can overlook but the straps around the chin are weird, it looks like the sculpt is missing on one side and not painted on the other. Also the AIM Scientist Supreme I got to stand alongside MODOK and my AIM troopers, but I find it a but clunky and I never feel any interest in posing it, same for US Agent. Easily for me though the deluxe Thanos was my most disappointing figure in the line this year. Body sculpt was great, but there were some sloppy paint details, the articulation could have been better and I REALLY don't like the head sculpt, I keep expecting to hear Seth Rogen's laugh come out of it, it's too goofy looking to me. An extra head sculpt that actually fit the design would've fixed a lot of my issues, as it stands I don't like looking at it because of the head.
My worst list: 10. Gilgamesh (only because I don’t think he should’ve been a BaF) 9. Darkstar 8. White Vision 7. John Walker Black Suit 6. AoA Magneto 5. Shirtless Wolverine 4. Karen hair Captain Marvel 3. Integrated suit Spider-Man 2. John Walker Cap blue suit 1. Retro Invisible Woman
Great video, man! I was pretty confident the movie Shang Chi figure would have made your list because he didn't come with any fist hands. But still. Great list!
You NAILED that list! That is exactly the list I had (with exception Spidey 2099 replaced Deadpool)! Invisible Woman head sculpt really made that figure bad; T'Challa Starlord, when I got it, I'll admit it...I hated it. It made him WAY too simple and cartoony and worse yet, as you mentioned, colors and details were way off. His hip join was funky and his simple brown boots made it look like he was wearing knickers with bare lower legs (the 'bumps' on the calves made it look even worse). I never even GOT the What If? Nebula one since it was so bad. Thank you for a great year! Looking forward to your videos in 2022! Keep on rockin'!
I love these lists. Everyone has to keep in mind what you like i ma not, and that is ok. Because there are times where I look at figure in a different way. Keep up the great work.
I have Cap and Nebula. They're fine (I just had to mod the backpack to get more range on the wings.) If I don't like the paint ot sculpt, I just customize. But that's me. I'm just waiting for the announcement of the NWH villains. Happy New Year, folks.
I got a complete doramamu for 2 dollars at some sketchy warehouse store because the box was destroyed and I love it for that price but I understand your complaints it is the only on this list I have
I have to disagree with you with the Walmart Exclusive Spider-Man but I do understand where you're coming from. Me too, I really wish they added some details in the black portion of the suit (I don't care if the figure doesn't have web lines if the webs are sculpted. They're not really that visible in the film) I honestly prefer this over the FFH version. I just love the sculpt details and the paint apps on this one more. It looks more vivid, especially the Spider Symbols (both front and back).
I got my first Hasbro Figure which is the Ash looking Deadpool. However, personally I am not actually that bothered by the Color, in fact I actually prefer it that way. I wouldn't have bought it in the first place if it was completely grey since Deadpool was also iconic for it's bloody red colour. The red isn't as bright as the original Deadpool nor as dark as the movie looking ash Deadpool, it's just in middle which is completely perfect to me. Then again, everyone has preferences.
I went back and watched your iron monger vid and you said the shoulder rocket didn't have a good place but the rocket rotates on a ratchet so you can face it foward
I get that lists like this are completely subjective like you said and no one will agree with every single ranking. But naming of this video is an issue because there's a difference between the worst figures, the most disappointing figures, and the most unnecessary figures. I agree the Nebula figure wasn't needed, but it's not a bad figure. I agree that the Sam Captain America shouldn't have had the wings as the baf, but it's a really good figure with impressive and articulated wings. The upgraded Spiderman suit should most definitely have had its web lines painted, but the figure is great with a really good unmasked headsculpt.
Regarding the Walmart FFH Spider-Man: While i understand the painted webbing people complain about, it doesn’t make sense on these Stark suits because they don’t really have that DEEP black webbing you see in the movie, so the figures without the painted webbing actually look more accurate to me than the customs with the black webbing. Regardless it was a waste of a release since I already had the FFH wave version.
Looking over all the Legends released this year there have been surprisingly few duds really, I wasn't excited for the cosmic walmart exclusives like the fallen silver surfer and nova but they've all been decent. Do agree about the what if figures I just completed that wave this week and yeah the starlord and nebula were weak. The only figures I found really dull were Loki and Mobius as they are just blokes in brown suits and i wasnt taken with that series.
Great video! About that gold suited spider man... he isn't supposed to actually have the red on his hands/ fingers is he? That's the only part for me, imo that detracts from the figure. If you've seen the film this Spidey suit actually has, what appears to be wires and cables strapped all over it.
Been watching your videos for years man, and will continue to do so. Looking forward to this year for figures and your content. Happy New Year everyone and keep up the great work Shart!
I’m thinking Hasbro made the “ashy” Deadpool as is because of the ability to attract buyers who missed out on the two pack regular version and with a darker red toned version you can achieve such a goal. Making him as he should have looked may have been viewed as catering to those who already have a plain red Deadpool. I only have the ashy version and this is the theory I came up with after seeing just a lot more red than ash on him. Great video as always!
I mostly put my figures back in the box, not because I hate the figures or anything, it's just in case I don't have room or I do it to keep them from getting dust.
At my target they have two whole pegs of that jean grey figure and all of the more worthless eternals. Its been like that for months and no one has touched them. Same with the armored batmen
I can't understand on why they won't paint the web pattern in the mcu spider-man figures when they clearly can do it as shown on the black and gold suit and on the homecoming suit
I know you probably won’t see this shartimus but I kinda agree and disagree with the what if nebula. I hate how they threw away a spot in a wave like that with a side character. But if you put the endgame nebula head on that body it makes a great (but not very accurate) endgame nebula
@@almightycinder the difference in flame color is so minuscule, in comparison to how accurate the rest of the figure looks. This figure is far from one of the worst figures this year
I wonder if you could mask off the face of the Dormamu with masking tape and paint the fire hair yellow, then mask off the hair and paint the face the pinkish orange. Also I think you could heat up and pull the hair off of Sue and put the hair on a different head.
Loved this Dormammu personally. It can be dinged for it but think it was made specifically with back lighting and ACBA in mind and that reflected their choice of materials and coloring. Put a light behind the head and it is off the charts good and looks amazing in photos especially.
The Hood's pretty killer once you put a fabric cloak on him but you're right on with Dormammu. The color blend ruins him and the elbow design is pretty icky as well. I've seen vids of the translucent Sue Storm and the face isn't that bad unpainted. I think it's the eyes that are the issue. Painted too small.
The Falcon one isn't bad for me. It's just why does the wings need to be a a baf? I should've been a deluxe figure like vulture

I like T’challa star-lord but that figure is terrible I thought he was wearing shorts
Excellent video! Minor gripe: you put the image of a number two when announcing number #3 Deadpool. Greetings from Argentina!
No eternals were harmed in the making of this video.
Happy new year grew video
That tigra is about the only legend I even bought this year. Thous Eternals figures will be clearance city soon. Can’t even give them away lol 😆
Star-Lord T'Challa is like coming from the Spider-Verse movie. Lacks of details on the jacket too, even the Lego minifigure is much better
the T'Challa Starlord looks like one of those cheap 80's Star Wars clone figures... like they're just flat and incomplete.
definitely not handled as well as it should have been unfortunately.
Still looks like Star Lord is wearing shorts, once you see it you can’t unsee it
Your not the only one.
#1 & #2.... Couldn't agree more!
Happy New Year to your Family Shartimus Prime
I painted much of that deadpool silver then airbrushed it with a light coat of grey. I agree that as it came, it was way too red
Are there any examples of characters with high-heeled shoes that stand well? Mine always fall over unless I use a stand.
My worst list:
10. Gilgamesh (only because I don’t think he should’ve been a BaF)
9. Darkstar
8. White Vision
7. John Walker Black Suit
6. AoA Magneto
5. Shirtless Wolverine
4. Karen hair Captain Marvel
3. Integrated suit Spider-Man
2. John Walker Cap blue suit
1. Retro Invisible Woman
0:14 👀 which figure is that ?
a Harley Quinn statue
@@almightycinder Thank you 😁 those nalgas are MAGNIFICENT 👌🤣
Bro, i hate the New Sue Storm. That headsculpt its so horrible
Regarding the Walmart FFH Spider-Man:
While i understand the painted webbing people complain about, it doesn’t make sense on these Stark suits because they don’t really have that DEEP black webbing you see in the movie, so the figures without the painted webbing actually look more accurate to me than the customs with the black webbing.
Regardless it was a waste of a release since I already had the FFH wave version.
I’m thinking this new one was just for the sake of the movie release
I got it because I sold my FFH one. I like this one better because the sculpt details of the suit like the size of spider logo looks more accurate.
@@dwightmiranda3192 True. But, I’m not much of a fan of the MCU spidy figures. They lack paint detail. They do usually have good sculpt though
HAPPY NEW YEAR SHART
Did anyone else notice that he put a 2 in front of the Deadpool figure instead of a 3?
Oh thank god I only wanted Nebula and the Hood and I was ok with trying to make a custom hood
Love your vids
Weirdly, the John Walker Captain America was one of my favourites of the year. I actually really liked his character (unpopular opinion I know)
me too, I like the U.S Agent just not the figure
ActivelyLazy yeah the US Agent figure kinda sucked, inaccurate colour scheme and like no accessories
Great video! About that gold suited spider man... he isn't supposed to actually have the red on his hands/ fingers is he? That's the only part for me, imo that detracts from the figure. If you've seen the film this Spidey suit actually has, what appears to be wires and cables strapped all over it.
I've been waiting for this
Happy new year. This is what I’m watching at the year turn lol
I have #10 and 7
As far as the web patterns go, I prefer MCU Spidey without the webs as opposed to that horrible wash on the Homecoming figure
Doesn't look clean for some reason
Been watching your videos for years man, and will continue to do so. Looking forward to this year for figures and your content. Happy New Year everyone and keep up the great work Shart!
I’m thinking Hasbro made the “ashy” Deadpool as is because of the ability to attract buyers who missed out on the two pack regular version and with a darker red toned version you can achieve such a goal. Making him as he should have looked may have been viewed as catering to those who already have a plain red Deadpool. I only have the ashy version and this is the theory I came up with after seeing just a lot more red than ash on him. Great video as always!
Have a happy new year guys 🎉🎉
And u shartimus!!!!
Yeah alot of people was saying that T’Challa star lord was the best but I just think he’s meh.
Shirtless Wolverine has to be the most random marvel legend of last year.
tchalla starlord looks like he is wearing gray cargo shorts
I mostly put my figures back in the box, not because I hate the figures or anything, it's just in case I don't have room or I do it to keep them from getting dust.
At my target they have two whole pegs of that jean grey figure and all of the more worthless eternals. Its been like that for months and no one has touched them. Same with the armored batmen
Whaddya mean? Nebula is great...great for Custom Kate Bishop fodder.?.. lol yeah I wish I don't pay for it.
I can't understand on why they won't paint the web pattern in the mcu spider-man figures when they clearly can do it as shown on the black and gold suit and on the homecoming suit
New video??? WYA?
Wish You Happy New Year boss
Could you heat up cape on the hood and bend to where you need it and quick cool it to shape
I know you probably won’t see this shartimus but I kinda agree and disagree with the what if nebula. I hate how they threw away a spot in a wave like that with a side character. But if you put the endgame nebula head on that body it makes a great (but not very accurate) endgame nebula
I repainted my ash/greyish variant movie Deadpool back to red since it’s not grey enough anyways and I love it even more now
That Red Hood figure is truly frightening. And not in a good way.
Dormammu wasnt even that bad. Literally looks like he came from the comics
...With the wrong colored head and flame. Seriously, look up that costume. The flame is distinctly yellow.
@@almightycinder the difference in flame color is so minuscule, in comparison to how accurate the rest of the figure looks. This figure is far from one of the worst figures this year
I was at Target today, LOL Eternals figures.....
What about the best figures
When is the 10 BEST coming out?!?!
For me when it comes to collecting. I'll only collect what I like and what I don't like, I won't bother getting.
I liked Tigra…. And Dormamu. Surprised Invisible woman didn’t make #1.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your choice of #6. I like the version of the character but they really screwed up on the design of the figure.
I really like the red guardian he comes with an action figure of himself it’s the best thing ever.
Eyes are definitely too small, but also big nose and overbite
I didn't like the color choice for Tigra either.
