A cop came to our house here in Orlando when my stepdad and brother was home. My stepdad did not open that door! He instead spoke to him through the garage and at the same time called 911 to see if a cop was deployed to the house and why. The operator said yes a cop was deployed, but didn't know why. My stepdad asked the cop why was he there and the cop was just like open the door. Heeeell no! My stepdad did not follow his instructions and the cop just left. He went to the precinct later on to find out what was going on and the precinct said there was no record of anyone going to the house or that anyone should have gone to the house. Imagine what would have happened if my stepdad went to the door. He ain't no fool.
The woman who called and sent them to his apartment should be charged with making a false report and accessory to murder! Everyone in this scenario needs to be charged!

No matter what, and no excuses, we had to be at grandmas house every Sunday after church for dinner 🍽️ and her house was packed from the living room, down to the basement. I did security when I got out for a few years and many officers asked me to join but I always said no and pointed out the threshold meter for military personnel compared to city cops.
I scored high enough on the asvab to get in the airforce. I was already in rotc. I was gonna go through school and go in as a lieutenant. I let my family talk me out of it. I should've gone.
Something that I noticed is that the airman's holster is on his left hip. But the gun is in his right hand. This is something that should be brought up during there lawsuit.
The Air Force should have custody of this race soldier. The police need to be put under the Military law or UCMJ . Since they think they are the military.
As a retired Law Enforcement Officer, the knock on the door and standing to the side in front of a solid wall is a safety precaution tought so that if the person inside wanted to shoot through the door the Officer wouldn't get shot. We were trained not to stand in front of glass windows either. That is training. If you remember, the blk mother who was shot in the head from her wyt neighbor through the door when she went to retrieve her son's toy. You made a comment that the officer was looking at the door lock. The officers body cam is on his chest. The officer was leaning into the door, listening for anything going on inside the apartment. The body cam was tilted down as he was listening at the door. You did say something very correct. The officer should have waited for his back-up. I'm not saying anything about how the officer handled that call for service. It was so very sad that we as black people can look very scary in the skin God birthed us in. I'm also an Air Force veteran, and my heart is very sad about this situation. May the Holy Spirit have mercy on that young airman's family.
Why should he have waited for backup? He took that lady for her word, it seems to me. That's never happened for me. They were cautious towards me after ever calling them.

She stated she and the 911 caller walked down the hall a few weeks back and that is was frequent? He lived on an end cap? His apartment had a four floor drop on the left and a hallway on the right so how did they walk by?

This incident started with an unknown Female tenant called the Apt. Mgr. and the Mgr had an off camera convo. with the Race soldier. All tenants know where the handful of Black Tenants live.

A police should knock on the door, identify himself and purpose. All the other explanations are useless. This officer used poor police skills and the leadership is a failure if this police conduct is promoted. The situation surely had better options than the final result of death.

This is exactly how I've been moving since 2020 - moving like that should be a default setting for blk folks worldwide.
May that brother rest in peace. I served as a security force member in the US Airforce and we had a strict threshold to climb when it came to when we can fire our weapon at someone.
I did security when I got out for a few years and many officers asked me to join but I always said no and pointed out the threshold meter for military personnel compared to city cops.
I scored high enough on the asvab to get in the airforce. I was already in rotc. I was gonna go through school and go in as a lieutenant. I let my family talk me out of it. I should've gone.

The Air Force should have custody of this race soldier. The police need to be put under the Military law or UCMJ . Since they think they are the military.

As a retired Law Enforcement Officer, the knock on the door and standing to the side in front of a solid wall is a safety precaution tought so that if the person inside wanted to shoot through the door the Officer wouldn't get shot. We were trained not to stand in front of glass windows either. That is training. If you remember, the blk mother who was shot in the head from her wyt neighbor through the door when she went to retrieve her son's toy. You made a comment that the officer was looking at the door lock. The officers body cam is on his chest. The officer was leaning into the door, listening for anything going on inside the apartment. The body cam was tilted down as he was listening at the door. You did say something very correct. The officer should have waited for his back-up. I'm not saying anything about how the officer handled that call for service. It was so very sad that we as black people can look very scary in the skin God birthed us in. I'm also an Air Force veteran, and my heart is very sad about this situation. May the Holy Spirit have mercy on that young airman's family.

He was listening at the door to see if he could hear anything. That why it seemed like he was looking at the door handle. He stepped to the side so that if it was anybody on the other side of the door with a gun they couldn’t just shoot through the door at him.
