There is as yet no viable alternative to the established "Black leadership". There is no alternative demographic among Black people, who have demonstrated the necessary fundamentals of group solidarity, to challenge their position. None have solved the fundamental problem of what to do about the minority among us, who don't exhibit the values/standards - the basic norms that the people of any society/community must have. In short, no group has established physical communities, that would demonstrate the power of their particular belief, whether religious, philosophical, or ideological. We complain of being over-policed, but the reason for this is significantly, if not mostly, because we, for various reasons, don't police ourselves. The fundamental problem, as Dr. Greg Carr of Howard Univ., has pointed out, but still doesn't call on us, in a systemic manner, to at least consider, is that we lack a governance structure. A governance structure would regulate our interactions and be a vehicle that we would use to resolve disagreement around decisions, that must be made, that impact us all. How the issue of reparation has proceeded is a prime example of the negative impact of this lacking among us. Reparations can not be guaranteed to do for us, what so many are saying it is to do. It can help us individually, but not as a group, especially as we relate to one another now. Those who take advantage of the opportunities that already exist, will do the same with reparations, and sadly it is likely that those who don't make use of what opportunities that exist, will not of reparations. This is use- our situation - where we are. What then can/will we do, as individuals and as a group, such that we are?
