And welcome to a narrated 'redux' of one of my favourite walks on the channel so far, in the spectacular Northumberland village of Bamburgh - a must-visit if you're ever in the area! The village, despite its small size, is home to all manner of fascinating landmarks, from St. Aidan's Church to the Castle and more - but a little further north along the beach from where we finish our walk in this video, you'll also find Bamburgh Lighthouse, the northernmost land-based lighthouse in England. Though not the lighthouse in which Grace Darling lived, Bamburgh Lighthouse is an eye-catching landmark to walk along the beach towards if you're visiting or staying in the village!
So truly enjoyed this walk. Bamburgh is one of my favourite places in the UK. The castle is spectacular, and imposing, especially from the beach, and love the village. So small, but with so much History. Thanks again for a truly enjoyable, and informative, walk! Cheers!
I do enjoy your walks and all the of the researched history, I have been to most of the places but didn't know half of the facts, making these walks more entertaining while being informative.
Thank you very much! I'm really glad you enjoy the walks - it's always fascinating to learn a little bit about the spectacular-looking places that you've visited, I certainly enjoy it :)
I love walking because it clears your mind, enriches the soul, takes away stress, and opens up your eyes to a whole new world. Thanks for sharing this amazing video. 😍

did you take this before the storm?
Indeed! This was filmed in May 2021 - I haven't been back to Bamburgh since, I hope no big damage has been done in the village!
The Castle Belleme.
My father and his sister were evacuated to live in the castle after their brother died in the bombing of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1942
