    So this is my first Xbox ever. I’ve had a PlayStation 1-PS5. Don’t get me wrong I love my PS5 but I can say I’ve pretty much have only played those exclusives from it and I got crazy in my Xbox. Like I was such a Xbox hater cause if the “console wars” but my friend convinced me to get one and I’d say I use the Xbox way more then my PlayStation. I’m a huge fan of the Xbox. I got it in early 2021 and I have gone ham with it. I’m so shocked how good game pass is and how powerful the Xbox is. I also hated Microsoft but I respect them more now cause how good Xbox is. I feel like I’ve been missing.

    Nice tips for beginners.....Welcome to ALL the new Xbox owners, Enjoy !!
    I picked-up a Seagate 2Tb Expansion Card for my Series-X in the Post Xmas Sales for £349.....That's the cheapest I've seen the new 2Tb card, so-far, so I thought I'd just get it, as I've spent the last 2yrs transferring games from my External HDD to my Internal SSD and back again (Many Times Over & Over) it doesn't actually take too long to transfer BUT now I can just play my games when I want without having to think ahead and move the games I want to play before I play.....Much better !!
    BUT.....£349 is still too expensive for it imo, hopefully they'll reduce them so everyone can enjoy them soon !?!?
    EDIT:- Sorted Spelling !!

      @RedPillAlways ปีที่แล้ว

      You paid more for a slower CFExpress style SSD then I paid for my much faster m.2 2TB Enterprise grade Samsung 980 Pro($180).. so the Xbox series X is that slow and cost you that much.. I haven't found anything customer friendly about Xbox high-end price for low in accessories high price for slower proprietary not as good ssds and a constant price for a bunch of low-end games and no innovation of the platform. I have to say I stay far away from Xbox especially Phil Spencer's Xbox. It's like you spend more to get a lot of low quality and less of good quality

    • @RedPillAlways
      @RedPillAlways ปีที่แล้ว

      @Mark Maisy LMAO you call that Sniping??.. Did you really just say Seagate is the most reliable manufacturer. They have a higher failure rates then most the only thing that separates them is they are cheaper(Barracuda is less durable with higher failure rates) except in the case of the proprietary Xbox SSD that cost more an is slower. The FireCuda is good but you all will never see that. Hell WD has a higher reliability rate than Seagate and WD ain't really that good either until they made the WD Black . But they're more expensive. Better reliability rates come from Samsung Crucial Kingston. But I guess again these are ones you will never see on Xbox unless you go Sata 3. So I'm telling you people in the PC and Playstation world would laugh at you on that Seagate statement

    2022 was a good year for Headsets updates for Microsoft. Unfortunately before then Microsoft wasn't taking advantage of built in software from headset manufacturers for xbox. We were unable to take advantage of common features that pc had for years; such as noise filtering and automute. These features were enabled last year with an update most people didn't realize it had happened. The particular headset he reviewed in the video gained these features once automute is turned on fans, ac, most background noise will not come across Mic anymore. Your TV if left on won't come across chat unless really loud even then only when you speak, and it does an overall great job of cleaning up the party chat for friends so their experience with you is vastly improved. These features only show up if your headset supports them on xbox. I suggest if it states it supports it and doesn't have option under device and accessories then headset place a support ticket asking them to enable the software for your device.

    • @HeartInLight
      @HeartInLight ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No doubt. Party chat on Xbox, Actually sounds better and does a better job than Discord in my experience. It does still have some issues when people dont have a good pop filter recently tho. And it wasnt that way for a long time. So something has definitely changed for the worse i think.

    You can put xs games on the external , you just can't play them. So if you don't play it but don't want to download it again, just store it on the external and then switch it back if you want to play it. I have a SSD external , the official slot in SSD which you can play and the 500gb on the system. I've got so many games. But you can always use the cloud if you're Internet is up to standard

      I do the same thing. I have two externals(ssd and hdd) and 500gb internal. All my games are installed externally and I copy(not move) xs games from external ssd. I never move games once they're installed in their home. I only copy. This is to preserve the drive life and I can just delete the games from the internal instead of having to wait again for them to be moved back. Also it keeps my drives fast cuz I won't be creating fragmented files. If only Microsoft can give us a scan disk and drive defragment program so we can keep our drives fast and healthy.

    Hi mate. Cool guide but you did make a rather critical error in that you can copy any game you like to an external portable drive to save on space such as any X/S games as well.
    It is just that you would need to copy them back to either internal or storage expansion drive in order to play them. However there are still some updated games that will still run from external too so best to experiment in that regard.
    I do this all the time to save space and have two game drives attached with a total of 9TB extra storage.

    Flashdrives are another good storage option. Once formatted you can play older games straight off the flashdrive.
    Personally I've used the Sandisk Ultra Fit for many of of my consoles. Like the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox One X ect. From experience it plays the older games perfectly fine off the drive.
    Any flashdrive will work as long as its 256GB or more. But I like the Ultra Fit because of it's small form factor.
    Also unlike Playstation. With Xbox consoles your able to have multiple storage devices. So using the 2 back USB ports. You could get 2 512GB Ultra Fits = 1TB of storage for older game. Plus still have room for the 2TB SSD expansion for newer games.
    The benefits of doing that is unlike an external HDD or SSD. The small form factor flashdrives don't stick out of your console. So you won't even know they are there.

      Activision got allot of flak for optimization of their games and forcing them on internal hdd. It was so bad for Activision they decided to shrink the size of the file and also allow their games to remain playable on the external inspite of optimization.
      This example of this practice proves 2 things:
      1)Developers can choose wether it has to be internal hdd or not.
      2)Developers are not taking full advantage of software to make files smaller on series x/s
      I'm ok with most new games being on internal, but existing games being forced to graphically upgrade then I can no longer play on external that practice needs to stop. Also low rez sidescrollers shouldn't be on internal the graphical demands aren't high enough to warrant it....... bad choice Developers
      Gears of War 5 was 150gb on series x it is 50 something on series s the files will always be alittle larger the reason for this is that extra processing the x has allows the files to be condensed more and not affect the quality of the game.

    Some solid AA batteries to use for controllers (and even use in other devices that you use alot that require AA) are the rechargeable batteries that have a USB-C port built-in directly on the physical AA batteries, and they charge extremely quickly and last for a very long time since they are 2000mah EACH AA battery, so all those Xbox rechargeable battery packs are usually like 1200mah total, but these rechargeable AA batteries are 2000mah each so that's 4000mah using 2 AA batteries (which is a little more than 3 times the size of all of those expensive rechargeable battery packs). And these AA batteries even come with a special USB-C cable to recharge 4 at the same time...and of course other positive features are you never have to worry about battery acid leaking from these types of batteries as that only happens with non-recharchable AA batteries. And I even got over 1 month of gaming time using 2 of the 4 rechargeable AA batteries while gaming about 4-8 hours a day, before having to recharge them again or swap them out for the other 2 batteries, which only take about an hour to charge.
    And you don't have to worry about keeping up with some special rechargeable battery dock, or charger since you can just use one of the many USB-C cables that most things use these days and plug them in your phone or wireless headset USB-C rechargeable cable directly in the side of the physical AA batteries which is extremely convenient.
    Also, for anyone who thinks the Xbox Seagate external SSD that plugs into the specific port made for this tiny little SSD is expensive....check on eBay. There are lots of legitimate stores that have hundreds of thousands of transactions or even millions with a 100% customer rating...which is kind of impressive especially if they have sold several hundred thousand items.
    I got my Brand new unopened Microsoft Xbox Seagate 2TB NVMe SSD for $240. (Which just for a price comparison, ever since the Series S and X came out just the 1TB version of these drives were $219...and then I think later on Microsoft even released a Seagate 512GB External SSD for like $150 which is a waste of money since by the time you go to use it you'll only be able to use about 450GB of the storage after formatting it when you can just spend $50 more bucks for the 1TB version.
    Also, you can even make your own by buying a Microsoft Surface replacement M.2 SSD and then buying the exact same enclosure that Microsoft (or Seagate) uses for these external SSD drives on Amazon for like $10 max. (So I bought my first external 2TB SSD from Seagate on eBay, and then looked inside to see what kind of SSD drive they use and then was curious if I could just make my own and sure enough I found a 1TB Microsoft Surface replacement SSD Which is like a small mini version of the 2280 NVMe SSD drives you use in your gaming PC. And then put it in the $10 Aluminum Amazon SSD enclosure that is almost identical to the one Seagate uses and it recognized it the second I plugged it in my Series X, and then asked me if I wanted to format it and it installed everything it needed to work and all together cost about $100 for the lightning fast "proprietary" SSD. (But I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you are a computer and tech savvy person as there are many different kinds and sizes of M.2 SSD)

    I own XSX and PS5 and must admit I use and love the XSX more, game pass is amazing and it just feels better. The XBOX was always the more adult console. But Astro on PS5 with the dual sense is insane, XBOX needs to include those triggers in the future.

    I just wanted to mention you can store games from the series X&S on an external non-solid state hard drive. You just can't play them, but you can store them if you need to make room on your internal hard drive. you don't have to uninstall it, I do this with a lot of my games I store them on other hard drives until I need to play them. And some Xbox One games run better on the SSD like fallout 76 the frame rate boost on that game is unbelievable and it never crashes or very rarely. Slime rancher runs better on the series S. I actually got to see a side-by-side comparison as me and my son were playing he was playing on the Xbox One I was playing on my series X and my frame rate was so much better while his stuttered.

      Consider a tv just do your research on the make/model to make sure it can handle the gaming frames alongside the visuals not all monitors/ tvs are created equal.
      Personally I'd recommend LG, or Samsung you may pay more, but the company support for both is top notch. Make sure model chosen is meant for gaming. Also Samsung doesn't support Dolby vision because they chose not to pay licensing fees.
