Could you break down what you're doing before moving to the toms? I see your markings in the book but I'm struggling to put together exactly how it works in relation to the comping.
@@giantpunchprojects I play 8 measures of comping then use the top line of Syncopation ex, 1 and 2 which equates to 8 measures. I am thinking of the syncopation measure in terms of Jazz notation. The triplets are RFR, LFL, F=BD. Orchestration is based on long and short notes. Short notes on high tom, long on floor tom.
Recommendations did it again 👍
Cool stuff😃👌🏻
@@constantkiffer7924 thank you!
What kind of ride is that?
Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 22".
Great playing and sound. Would you tell me what sticks, heads and pedal you use?
Thank you! Vic Firth AJ1 sticks, Evans G1 heads, DW Direct Drive HH and BD Pedal.
@@michaelnesi0827 Thanks. Would not have expected direct drives... ;)
@@benchinho I use 9000 when I play gigs. It is a love hate with the direct drive.
@@michaelnesi0827 yamaha fp-850....
@@benchinho I will check it out, thanks.

@@michaelnesi0827 The comping is improvised? That's some killer playing. Thank you for the explanation.
@@giantpunchprojects yes, thanks very much!
