Rolex does need to hope this concept. They have their own way of being the crown. It works both ways. Both are successful and in top of their game.

Great job on the video Marc. It is nice to get a closer look at the pieces and hear the background production story. I saw the new code 1159 ceramic chrono in person and I think they did a good job with the new generation especially the dials. Looking forward to part 2 of your video.

Code 1159 is awesome and modernising it a bit really is unleashing this line potential. Really digging how this line is evolving.

love that they're planning to introduce a quick change strap kit for old 42mm Offshores! although it's a bit weird he referenced the End of Days which has a completely different strap attachment setup to most 42mm Offshores...

The gold AP chronographs and new 42mm Offshore Divers look good. As well as the new 43mm Offshore Chronograph. A lot of people are dismissive of the Code 1159 and the new Marvel partnership, but I would be happy with any of the watches showcased today.
I wonder if the new Mega Tapisserie dials are hand turned on a lathe or stamped?

Wow. This was a incredibly informative, captivating, well annotated video. The videography and digital 3D models are top notch. The cherry on top is the extremely eloquent delivery of information by Michael Friedman. I can't recall ever hearing anyone ever explain watch intricacies so descriptive and complete. Makes one want to buy one of these masterpieces. Definitely gives anyone confidence in there quality; not that it's really ever been questioned. Outstanding video gentleman. Thank you for the education 🙏 Almost forgot..... LOVE the new models. The yellow gold Royal Oak and green chrono dial, look amazing. Also love the green dial.with the visible "tourbillon" style movement. 👌

People talk negative about 11:59, but cases are spectacular, overall craftsmanship is great.. Dial is somewhat missing, and fonts are bad.. If they could change that, they would have had spectacular watch..

this is the sort of desire Graham watches wishes it has. AP just has it a little bit better, no crazy grenade trigger for a crown.
I like the acknowledgement of customer mods and taking feedback from you're buyers. I think the 'quick change' of bracelets and straps is gonna be big going foward. For all brands. Cartier is one of the best I've seen, where the pins in removable links are spring loaded and they can't be separated from the links. Almost 'idiot proof'. Long live the Watches!!

Production numbers arent as much as a concern as are flippers.
This can be addressed with online watch registration.
Ferrari and other car companies know how to do it.

Are you saying the warranty doesn't carryover if you sell and the new owner doesn't register? Guess it doesn't solve for when people don't care about warranty.
Very interested in the new in house movement but I find AP aesthetically challenging…
They seem to be a quite delicate brand of watches which immediately puts me off.

Not sure if the new offshore tourbillon will be highly in demand. If they do a ceramic bezel, it will be a lot better imo. Hope this piece does well in the grey market. Dislike to see ROO price tanking.

@@WATCHESTVcom I just hate walking into Boutiques like Patek, Rolex with a wad of cash in my socks and asking them to take my money and they say "sorry we have nothing to show you, we are opened so that people can come in and wear down the carpets by completing a few laps of the shop to look at the empty cupboards and walk straight out with a business card which you can file under B.I.N.". Looks like I have another Boutique which I can add to the list AP;)

Who cares about watches that are entirely impossible to buy not only in their tourbillion version but in all versions? Really annoying. It’s been going on for years and can’t stand these brands anymore
I can understand the frustration and it's not the only brand that has this "issue", but I can't seem to think of a "fair" solution regarding how to resolve this apart from some kind of lottery! Best to you and thanks for sharing your opinion
Stop making things that nobody wants and expecting ppl to buy them first in order to get what they actually want later. It’s scam pure and simple. Not to mention the Marvel thing. CEO should just go, I can’t stand him.
In any case there are plenty of beautiful watches from brands that treat their customers with dignity and respect.
The more I see what AP does the more I love Patek, VC, and Omega. Pretentious folks making things for rich kids with no sense of style

Moset stops cosmic green dials, at that moment AP starts with that color on the RO… but then… it’s already outdated
I liked the video, because WatchesTV is great. But AP is now just a follower, for AP modern or contemporary design is synonymous of kitsch

75% Royal Oak (same design for the last 50ish years)
25% Code (horrific to say the least, RO bezel is the mid case with obscure lugs etc. slapped around that, finished off with some of the most uninspiring dials)
Sorry but, the perpetual ride of the RO design really isn't...new, so to speak. Nothing innovative to see here. I genuinely wonder if AP is capable of designing something themselves that the watch community actually wants. Probably not.
Next year's new AP releases: the rest of the cartoon collection for the RO.

Thanks a lot for sharing your opinion and get your point, but when you have such a killer watch as the RO, difficult not to use it to its core.
@@WATCHESTVcom It just gets frustrating seeing a company with such a rich history release innumerable iterations of the same thing. Paired with the seeming inability to truly create something new along with associating the brand identity to cartoon characters....its just a disappointing lack of innovation to really sum it up.
Compare to a Casio G-Shock these $28,000 USD least expensive Swiss AP are nothing more than a disgrace in every measure and can in no wise are engineered to last generation without spending thousands upon thousands of dollars with repair, servicing, changing out worn parts and on and on and on. Don't believe the Swiss Hype!

The case and movement are ok...it's the dial design, the fonts and proportions that just scream cheap lame design.
AP is the joke of the century. Not a trinity member. The CEO has the most punishable face I've ever encountered.
