Not just in SG..AP boutiques also quite arrogance in BKK.... boutiques appointment require 1 months advance and answering some bs questions from the boutique via phone with Arrogance tone of voice like I’m asking them for a watch for free [ps I have a few purchase history with them already but with one of the resigned SA]. Anyway great content!

while I cannot at all relate to your stories, and on the contrary, I know of a few collectors who’ve had similarly pleasant experiences with AP Sg.
Then again, there’s no smoke without fire. So I truly wonder where these upsetting instances took place. Perhaps 1 boutique is worse than the other?
Surely one would prefer to buy code than hublots / frank muller for pateks right?
And does the black list not apply as well to Patek unless one is a wholesale back door reseller?

I can tell you for a fact that it's much, much easier to sell Hublot/FM/Rolex/Patek without getting caught. So assuming you don't have unlimited funds, would you rather be stuck with a load of APs you can never sell, or watches that you at least can liquidate, even if at a loss? And naturally I too know of people who have had good experiences. But I also have so many good friends who have had nightmare experiences. The bribery thing for example is not a joke ;)

I still think it’s more respectable for a brand to allocate popular pieces based off support for its “less desirable” pieces as compared to
Multi brands pushing rubbish in exchange for desirable pateks / Rolexes.
Lack of efficacy in catching these resellers who offload their rubbish / even their over retail pieces shouldn’t be applauded no?
Don’t get me wrong, im not saying AP is without fault, but they are equally “as bad” as their Patek and Rolex counter parts. Only that Patek and Rolex have worse bundling than AP at least as per my knowledge.
With regards to the bribery story, I too “have a friend” whom paid for a cash gratuity for an allocation for a hot Rolex SS sports model. Pre covid even with many people’s favourite multi brand AD.
The way the video was presented, people may think only a certain brand does such stuff and other brands / multi ADs are above board?
