PRIMETIME - Watchmaking in the News - Geneva Watch Days and 10th Anniversary Special

In this rich edition of PRIMETIME, we are coming back on the Geneva Watch Days experience as we were extremely happy to host the guests that came to attend the private event together and all the other ones that came to our super friendly 10th Year Anniversary of WATCHES TV.
10 years is naturally quite a milestone, one that enabled us to produce more than 1’500 video reports and we are so delighted that you are now more than 145’000 subscribed to this channel. But we have a major project to announce to you as we now want to focus on producing the ultimate watchmaking video glossary covering how a watch is made and the competencies and machines behind them. So far we have identified 125 terms to be covered through our video approach and these will be split into 10 different chapters. In other words, we know what we will be doing for the next ten years, but depending on how we can finance this very ambitious project, we will hopefully be able to make it in less time. So there are still a few unanswered questions, but we are nevertheless going forward with this endeavour.
I would like to thank you so much for all the support and precious feedback, I truly think we have a marvellous community around us and it gives us amazing energy to continue doing what we love.

My Watch obsession started back in 1966 when my Dad bought me my first watch ( he promised me if England won The World cup! ) To research anything horological in those days meant a bus trip to Manchester Central Library where i spend many a wet afternoon. now thanks to youtube your show and Tim Mosso i can keep up to date without leaving the house ! Keep up the Great Work hope am still watching for another 10 years?

The Glossary is a FANTASTIC idea, outstanding. For so long the watch making industry has had a bizarre, exclusive attitude to allowing buyers to understand their products (a self harming attitude long abandoned by the sports car industry) so anything that invites knowledge is a smart move. It is very much in the interest of the industry and the Swiss government to help finance this. Superb idea.
Thanks a lot but unfortunately i doubt we can count on the swiss government for any help since they have a conflict if interest as some of their endeavors are sponsored by Omega, extremely disappointing

H. Moser no logo strategy intuitively feels right because the styling cues are instantaneously recognizable. Instantaneous recognition goes for some other brands as well, yet it takes a dynamic owner and CEO to make such decisions.

@@user-zl2sc3bg3g I’m having a K2 made right now. It’s rose gold with a white rhodium ¾ plate. Stefan is reducing the plate by 50% and hand hammering it. The edges of the plate and those areas surrounding the jewels and screws will be all be raised anglage. The balance cock will be rose gold for contrast and relief engraved with two rhododendron flowers symbolizing the shared flower between our regions (Dresden and the mountains of North Carolina). Both Ev and Stefan are some of the most humble and kind people you’ll ever meet. They’d be thrilled to know you’re interested in speaking with them.
