TheWATCHES.tv. The reason I keep coming back to TH-cam. Super high content value, excellent production and treats everyone from the CEO to the casual collector with equal respect. Great video Marc. Thanks for the hard work.
What an extraordinary video. Thank you Marc for the excellent, in depth report. I regret that I am late to watch this video, but never the less thank you for taking the time to research all of the information and for presenting it in such a clear format. As always production quality of your videos is top notch. Simply brilliant all around, top work as always!!
These historical programs are really superb. Nobody else can do it like you Marc, the production value is broadcast TV level or higher! At one point you say “I hope it’s not too dense...” NO WAY! It’s exactly what watch lovers adore: history! But you are also doing real commentary about the corporate side of things, which is so interesting and really makes us feel like we are encountering another level of devotion. Thank you
Really enjoyed this video! All the videos in this series are very good and informative. Proving again and again that this is the best source for watch content around! Cheers
Patek is one the best watch makers ever, is exclusive, expensive, innovator, and always revolutionary but with own soul and respect its history. Greatness.
Everything is said about patek. They sitin the throne of watchmakers beside rolex. Thank you for this historical journey. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you
Nice video Marc that's what Patek is all About, and Course History Speaks for its Brand. PATEK, JLC, BREITLING, OMEGA my Collection and Favourite brands. Alan
Patek (3)was introduced to me by my father, over 65 yrs ago, and I discovered AL&S (2) since 1994. Both are the best from their respective countries, in my opinion.
Please do one of these in-depth documentary on Bell & Ross. We very seldom hear anything of this great company on this channel. Thanks for the great videos. Best channel, PERIOD.
What a great Patek class Marc! Thanks a lot for that. Even though there have been amazing watch brands along the high horology history it's hard deny Patek unique position in the whole ecosystem. Not only due to the quality of its timepieces but most importantly due to the values the company is driven: consistency, true collectors appreciation, respect for their history and innovation just to name a few. Yes, if there is a king in the watch industry Patek certainly gets the crown in my humble opinion. Best, Amintas
10 years ago I had the chance to admire two PP’s in my hand, quite normal ones, just “simple” PP, but was an incredible experience. *PP* all my admiration for the best one 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Just a thought...the thing that got me interested in watches was seeing an article on the OPUS idea by Harry Winston ..some interesting watches and brilliant mechanics..the involvement of the best watch makers who are looking to push the limits....could you do a story on this maybe....?
Absolutely fantastic video. Patek obviously make some gorgeous watches but to be honest I don't like the arrogant attitude of the brand. They charge whatever they want just because they are Patek and people buy the watches anyway. And let's face it Pateks are neither the best finished watches (Lange is arguably better, Greubel Foresy is objectively better) nor exclusive (over 50.000 watches a year is a gigantic number for the high end luxury market).
Giovani Altelino : you could be more than 20 yrs too late, that’s when the last time a Taiwan tourist found a nice pocket watch for a few hundred $...!
Wow.... Great video as always, marc! By the way, are there any chances that you know how to apply for the horlogerie school at the patek? Was it based on scholarship and are they could accept the international student that starting from zero? Thank you so much! 😄. I'm glad that I still could follow your videos around until now, from those good old days thetime.tv to this! Great job! 😄
This is wise of PP to work on expansion and training future generation. It is at risk however of becoming less relevant in the future given its scarcity. I was born in 1972 and I am from a generation that is still able to be patient. I saved money, carefully purchased, and patiently waited for a few years to be able to buy difficult watches to purchase such as ceramic Daytonas and a “Hulk” submariner. Younger generations are used to acquiring things more immediately. Waiting decades (or never) for examples such as the steel Nautilus or even the Aquanaut will make younger generations stick to their Apple watches. PP has again been advised of this inevitable dilemma.
Interesting content and very ambitious lecture. But: you try to press much details into 20 mins of video. That leads to a velocity of your speech which together with your strong french accent I can hardy understand. And I'm familiar with Englisch. Alltogether I'm faced with a kind of frontal teaching, which I hoped to be extinct since the 60s.

Thanks a lot for this!! All the very best to you
You said it alright: PP is in a league of its own. This report utterly amazed me. Outstanding, Marc André!

LOOSERS LOVE S"H"EIKOS

Thanks so much!

I, for one, always enjoy your news about Patek. Thanks.
Amazing video. As always!
It's amazing how you can talk straight for 20mins without losing or catching your breath...
Manuel Miguel Both him and Tim from The Watchbox , sometimes one feels like taking a drink of water for them...
I believe that he can talk and breath at the same time! I got a bit out of breath just listening. Fascinating video!
Amazing as per usual, great work!

Nice video Marc that's what Patek is all About, and Course History Speaks for its Brand. PATEK, JLC, BREITLING, OMEGA my Collection and Favourite brands.

Great episode, I learned a lot. Thanks !
Patek Phillipe would sit on the pinnacle of watch making if it wasn't for A.Lange & Sohne ;)
Definitely not the same production volumes!
and several other high end brands...with costs out of the reach of most individuals..
PateK is WAY better than ALS
@@MultiPopculture No way

What?! Rio?! I had no idea, maybe if I am lucky someday I may find a lost Patek around here haha
Giovani Altelino : you could be more than 20 yrs too late, that’s when the last time a Taiwan tourist found a nice pocket watch for a few hundred $...!

Thanks so much, very appreciated and regarding the Patek school, I think we will actually do a report on it in the near future ;)
So basically Patek was first made in Rio de Janeiro? WOW, something i learned today!
the art of watchmaker-the first watches both on auctions -it's a big buisness of vintage patek philipp watch-very beautifol & expensine
A lot of information to take in, but very interesting nonetheless.
awesome
I don't know why but I prefer Vacheron Constantin and Lange...
And that's fine too ;)
Maybe you like losing your investment money? Just teasing with you, but on the secondary market, it's a fact - nothing touches Patek.
@@rdesigninc5756 And here we are four years later: The Patek bubble has burst while Lange and Vacheron have maintained their value.
Wow , you read this or memorized all this? Impressive all the same ,
Please do one of AP!🙏🏼
Will take place, can't tell you when, but count on us ;)

“Lubrification”... what??? 15:37
My wife just got her dream watch today & her collection is complete: the Nautilus diamond stainless steel ladies watch 7018-1A-001
She must be happy!!!
Yes, and your who's who article coincidentally PP :-) thanks Marc

I'm often tempted to ask you about that amazing wall behind you, but don't want to learn that it's digital.
In that case, let's keep it magical ;)
