Thanks very much for this. I spent 2 years sailing aboard the square topsail schooner Stone Witch with Alan Olson & THAT group of volunteers through 1978-79. Being only 70' long with 2 square sails, Stone Witch only needed 4 to half a dozen people for "day sailing" but we usually had 15-20 aboard on any given Sunday. It was both glorious fun & a constant learning experience. The conversations on those day cruises could ramble through science, history, philosophy & religion with some very interesting characters chipping in. Thanks for the memories, Al! I'll remember that (& the grey whales off Pt. Reyes, & the mixed dolphin pods, & Those 2 F-14's doing one of the world's biggest double-takes overhead, &...) after I've forgotten all else. -Lars Opland
I was impressed with this film within the first five seconds. Just stunningly beautiful. Perfectly chosen and inspiring interview clips. The whole thing gave me goosebumps from beginning to end. Thank you Omar Alami for sharing this with us all!
You’d think with all that rigging that they could wear their ensign in a proper position I.e. either on an ensign staff astern or on its own signal halliard aloft. Capt John.
Great film and a a great boat
