Amazing game, brings me back to my childhood of the 90s, I would play this game for hours with friends on the weekends, I was always so shocked how we fought Godzilla, Shredder, Daredevil, Spider-Man, Morbius, Jiraiya, Terminator/The Hulk, Mother Brain, they got away with so much, but it made one of my favorite games of all time.

this is because the later versions on Virtual Console, PSN etc. were Version 1.04 and made these changes. The original The Super Shinobi Version 1.0 from Japan also has John Rambo as the Flamethrower Bad Guy and after you beat Spider-Man he will blink until Spider-Man gets Wings and turn into Batman. These changes were made because of copyright infridgement in the west.
Amazing speed. This is one of the best games ever made and i love enjoying every detail of it and playing long way but the speed run is a aspect i have not tried. awesome video and work. I have loved this game since i was little. amazing graphics, music and gameplay. china town and make me dance levels are my favorites.
@@mycaisa that's not damage. in revenge of shinobi, when you make physical contact with an enemy, shinobi is bounced back, but he doesn't actually take any damage. and yes, i have played this game far too many times.
@@33LB I have played this game many times too. And from what I remember, you receive damage when you make physical contact. Actually, that "bouncing back" animation is the same one that the one is played when you receive damage from enemy shurikens or bullets

Idk about same engine, but same music composer.
Same director/development team, so it stands to reason some of the assets are shared

When? most of the time he has the power upgrade, which deflects shurikens when walking.
