I have both watches. I go swimming with both of them, do sports and enjoy the sauna or steam bath. No difference. I'm a Casio fan. My 217 and 105 have to suffer the same thing. With a Casio you can even ride a bike on a dirt road. My neighbor's Rolex didn't survive the latter as well.😢Thanks for Sharing
Casio are great watches and for the price they offer amazing value. I always thought that the Casio F-108WH had a bit more resistance to water than what Casio states but I didn’t really want to mention it in the video just in case a viewer’s Casio fails on them in water, based on my recommendation. To be honest I am not surprised with Rolex not standing up to the bashing that your Casios got and it might be worth suggesting your neighbour trying out a Casio for size. You never know they might even prefer wearing them! Cheers, Tony - WTA
I own an F-108w as my everyday/work watch. I’ve owned it since summer 2018, when it was reduced to £9.99 in Argos. It’s been fantastic. The loop on the strap perished and broke off last Autumn but the rest of the strap is still going strong. I’ve bought a cheap blue resin strap from EBay for when the strap cracks/snaps. It’s constantly being bashed and scratched in work (I’m a welder) and just keeps going. I love it, it’s been great.
To my knowledge there is no particular date and time that you need to set them both to just what your current date and time is when you are carrying out the adjustment on the Casio AE-1500WH. I have linked to the instructions below which I hope will help you further in what you are aiming to accomplish. support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/009/qw3502.pdf Cheers, Tony - WTA
they are both ideals for international trips if you don't want to take your usual watch because it really isn't the end of the world if they get ripped off your arm abroad or drown in a pool as they are only 15-25 quid watches
Great review. I have literally just bought the W 218H, in cream, as my upcoming ‘Holiday Pool/Sea’ watch. I put a silver bull bars on it to Beef it up a bit. Looks great! This is my 9th Casio. I think the strap could be slightly better though. Seems a bit flimsy. Also, I think it has one of the best light features of any Casio, even the more expensive G Shocks, as you can keep it illuminated for longer by keeping your finger on the pusher. All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
Hi, just wanted to say thanks for this comparison. I was between the two, possibly leaning towards blue but in the end got the W218H as I intend for it to be my holiday watch and the WR is better on paper. Now debating whether I should get the F108 as well!
Hi there and I am glad that the video was of some help to you! Personally I would get both, as you can swap and change as you so wish plus I found the Casio F-108 just naturally more comfortable to wear in my humble opinion. Hope it helps! Cheers, Tony - WTA
@@wetryanythingchannelHi Tony, I had to come back to tell you that I got the F108 as a Father’s Day present! (After a lot of hinting)😊 It’s exactly as you say, and I agree that is definitely more comfortable but at the same time I can’t seem to see why as they seem similar in that respect. I’m so happy with both these watches! Cheers
i'm using my casio w-218 for free diving.. so far for 3 years right now. it is still working. the strap is just broken.. one problem also is that i didnt have any protruding hump to protect the screen. so it a bit strachcy already.
I've been looking for a vid comparing these two similar watches for weeks. A superb comparison vid. Well shot, presented and narrated. I've ordered both. Already have W219. Thanks and regards. Ps I work with a Brummie. 😊👌
Thank you for your very kind comment and I am made up that the video was of some help to you. You can’t beat working with a Brummie they are the best people in the world (not being biased or anything)! Cheers, Tony - WTA

I have both, if highly recommend the 108 over the other , as it is far more comfortable in my opinion, a few sharper edges on the other
W-219h is also a solid alternative with a protruding bezel protecting the resin glass.
W108 I took swimming countless number of times, jumping into water too. Water sports too. Turkey and Majorca. No worries.
I like my f108 partly because of the lower water resist. I feel that this makes for a louder alarm volume.

Thanks, bro. I like to gather as much information as I can before making a purchase. Finally, I decided for the 218 model

@@wetryanythingchannel Ta Tony. ✔️✌️👌
I wish they made the 218 in bright white/bright white
Well considering that you can buy them both for under a total of $30. Buy them both
Totally agree as they are both are great watches!
