Another fun video❣ Your videos always make my day brighter, so thank you❣ Networking is definitely OP. There are even more benefits to be discovered, as well. If you place your sim in an apartment to start (the more expensive, the better), instead of the Welcome Wagon, you get a head start on your Networking, as the empty apartments are filled with the Social Class townies of equivalent social status to the Apartment's expense level (with the exception of the premade families already residing). It is best to choose the empty apartments, more networking chances. Also, instead of declining that "downtown" outing, accept, but instead choose a spot in Belladonna Cove (or local to the hood you reside in), for the outing. While the outing participants can be downtownies, that is not always the case. While on the outing, be certain to introduce/interact with those at outing, and those outside of outing (using a couple friendly interactions triggers the Networking). Take your outing to multiple locations, before ending (even "for fun" outings will reap rewards, as long as you keep being friendly to all). Careful of people fighting with one another while on outings too. Just be aware that once you receive a Network (whether you accept or decline), that's the only one they'll give you. Accepting job offers can be extremely beneficial (especially early on), as they are usually at least level 3-5 (giving more Networking perks for raises and promotions, even without the appropriate skills). Since Networking is contingent upon Reputation, you have to be careful of negative interactions, and getting caught cheating (Curb dating is not ideal). Since Reputation is multi-directional, it is easy to crash and burn, at any time. Be careful of who you let into your inner circle, Jessica Peterson is a premade with the lowest Reputation, and guilt by association can easily follow. One more thing, back to why living in an apartment is good, you can get a roommate (another that will likely Network), to help with expenses, as well as open up the rental discount Network from others. The higher your Reputation, the more success you will have with Networking, and you will get a relationship boost too. You might even have sims asking for your autograph, when reaching "Social Celebrity" status❣👏
Thank you so much for the support and for this super high quality comment 🥺 So many useful tips!! I’m pinning it so others can see the extra tricks that I didn’t cover in my video ☺️
@@Lemony123 I agree, just having TS2:NL installed might trigger that initial outing call, but in certain hoods, without a downtown placed, it could be a bit buggy (because the game most often recognizes downtownies for that call). However, you can choose any community lot, when you get that call (a neighborhood community lot, a business district community lot [TS2:OFB], any secret hobby lots that you are a member of, as well as secret magic castles if you are a witch/warlock), and they all will work work fine (although for networking, the secret magic lots are not as feasible, as there are no walkbys). Also, if you are a YA, attending uni, you can choose any campus lot to any of the uni subhoods installed (although time will not freeze, unless students go off campus). You can literally add as many Subhoods as you choose (as your computer allows). You can even start your own outings, or add sims to your outings. One aspect I did forget to mention though, gossiping and dirty jokes in TS2 are considered negative interactions regarding reputation, although they are minuscule compared to mean interactions (especially fighting) and being caught cheating. Getting back to downtownies, since they only appear in game once a downtown is selected and placed in a game save (same with all uni campuses), the other Subhoods and neighborhoods (aside from the basegame hoods and TS2's family bin for BV), might still spawn bin families, regardless of neighborhood being played, beyond the basegame (if you have those EPs installed). I am uncertain which pack broke the bin system, or if it was an intentional glitch by the devs? 🤷♀️
This is because they are from different subgroups and not everyone are compatible with the other subgroups. And those extra mean Sims in the mix and you have unintended drama lol.

It's 2024 and I've been playing this game since its original release back when I was somewhere around the age of 12, yet somehow I'm still learning about exploits and mechanics (even just from the comments on this video, let alone the video itself!) Really just goes to show how good of a game TS2 is!
No joke, Geoff Rutherford ended up becoming CEO on his quest to woohoo the entire neighborhood simply from networking alone. Underqualified as hell and with a ton of scandals waiting to happen, just like real life CEOs....
Tyler hit it off with Kenya, she got stood up now upset, Tyler apologizes by doing anything intimate but apologizing, Kenya still don't like him for it, Tyler got another girl Kenya also upset about that, Now she still like him despite him already have two other chicks Sounds like some real life situation than it just being a simple sims 2 drama damn
I think diving into the aspects of the game one per video is both useful and interesting as I have never really considered how to exploit some of them.

As for the outing, it happened to me a few times. Usually, calling a taxi : using the car does the trick, but it can be quite tricky when you don't really know the mechanics. And I actually thought it was Nervous when I saw the thumbnail!
Just one note: the charisma skill actually doesn't do anything in the Sims 2. It doesn't make socialization any easier. It's strictly only useful for career advancement.
Another drama filled Sims 2 show! Love it! BTW- I use a tip I got from Pleasant Sims that might help. I move the trash can where it's next to the house and put a fence around it that only household members can access. No more knocking it over!
Thank you! The game helped me out a lot with all the chaos it generated 🤭 also that’s a neat trick! I kinda like the consequences of pissing off another Sim but I’ll use it sometimes :)

Sims can still be networked if they be mean to others reducing relationship scores but the animation is the same as poke or shove and they can get penalties instead of rewards like losing your job, reduced reputation or paying more in buy mode. Only if the Sims 3 and 4 had that too.
Ah yes... Networking. Something that wasn't mentioned was that good reputation actually increases the chance of networking happening. So at one point, you actually had even more chance for networking. Even outings and dates were more balanced as you could only get promotions from that if you hung out with someone in the same career (and in a higher level). Oh, and free skill points are a possibility too.
@@crazymarq4390 Yeah, according to The Sims Wiki, it's just a 10% chance. So in the end, it's 30% -> 40%. But yeah, it was an awesome video to watch. Also, a little quirk in my game: when a sims networks on the phone, they will address my sims with their own name, instead of my sim's, for some reason

Thanks for a great video!! It's actually so interesting and useful, I'll definitely try this while playing. I've haven't had that much luck with networking yet, seems like I will have to befriend townies :) And what's up with all your townies fighting?? 😭
Thank you so much! Yeah you have to meet a townie (young adult or older) and do a few successful friendly interactions with them and just hope for the best haha, friendship isn’t necessary, I think around 30 daily points should be enough. And ikr 😭 the last few episodes kinda lacked townie drama so the game had to turn it up a notch
Yeah it seemed to be a bit less frequent in my game too, but not far off. Oh yeah outings and dates can be super op with a bit of luck. Might do a video on them actually :)
I read info about networking about give number from a sim. If we want get it, info says choice no because we don't mind get the number. My families/households sims always live ordinary house🏡🌈🌈🌈🌈not live apartment (in Sims 3 too, not live at high rise building or apartment), hope get warehouse discount social networking to get quick play or do big renovation type give effort to my families/households (see my replied comment in 1 of people comment in this video for detail), everyone get highest reputation is 1 condition to my families/households reach "the end" (that not play them anymore later, delete neighborhood & replaced backup empty neighborhood that already given something in backup empty neighborhood & then create 5 families/households play later after current 5 families/households play is reach "the end") but even highest reputation, i sometimes command to throw drink to townie sim at my families/households house to make me laugh, if unlucky, get bad network except i successfully cancel network [bad] interaction.
Yeah, that prompt for the contact number is confusing haha Gotta be careful with those interactions if your Sim is on a community lot but if they’re on a residential lot, it should be fine
What are the consequences if the sim is in the community lot when the sim phone number is given? I already read📚🌈🌈🌈🌈The Sims Wiki about networking give sim phone number, but forget if any consequences may happen.

0:24 wait, 30%?? But it rarely happen to me lol
Btw. Have you tried outing/datings yet. They are fairly overpowered as well.
Yeah it seemed to be a bit less frequent in my game too, but not far off. Oh yeah outings and dates can be super op with a bit of luck. Might do a video on them actually :)
Hehehe did you know that you can make money by buying and selling off furniture with warehouse discount? :P
Yeah, that prompt for the contact number is confusing haha
Gotta be careful with those interactions if your Sim is on a community lot but if they’re on a residential lot, it should be fine
What are the consequences if the sim is in the community lot when the sim phone number is given? I already read📚🌈🌈🌈🌈The Sims Wiki about networking give sim phone number, but forget if any consequences may happen.
