5:17 THE WRONG SIDE OF THE BLANKET: An old-fashioned British phrase denoting illegitimacy due to a child being born out of wedlock or through an adulterous relationship: “Charles II had thirteen children who were from the wrong side of the blanket.”
17:07 Bill Moyers; I think everyone will recognize him; I guess they didn't back then. Game #4 : #1 what is your name, please? My name is John Smith and I'm an anti-smoking activist. Oops, sorry we're out of time
Since I can trace my Cdn United Empire Loyalists back to 5 relatives on the Mayflower plus a couple more on the supply ship and my 6th grgrmo. was the 1st cousin of Pres. John Adams, I can really appreciate the fact that the Mormons have made the records available online and we all can do our own research. For the cost of a membership, of course. It's great fun but I've found everyone now. You, too, could be that lucky and find your family back to the 1400s.
Along with DNA ,genealogy has become an applied science and has been instrumental in dealing with criminal cold cases. It used to be nothing more than a curiosity but today it is an important activity.
True. And anyone who takes those DNA test unwittingly is opening up their whole ancestry to criminal investigation. Of course if none of your ancestors ever did anything wrong you have nothing to worry about...i.e. about 1% of you
Moyers was probably appointed to the Peace Corps as a sop to Lyndon Johnson. Moyers had been a very close aide to Senator Johnson when Johnson ran for the nomination in 1960. He is the only surviving person in the photo of LBJ's inauguration aboard Air Force One (mostly obscured behind Congressman Jack Brooks). He would be a special advisor to LBJ from 1963 until 1967 and White House Press Secretary from 1965-67. He'd eventually break with Johnson over the war in Vietnam. His time as press secretary would lead into journalism, first as publisher of Newsday and then on television. He said of Johnson: "I work for him despite his faults and he lets me qork for him despite my deficiencies."
Round # 2: Whoever the real underwater model was--I was mesmerised by Contestant 2. What an absolute fox! / Round #3: Was Bill Moyers, by any chance, the same person who became a TV reporter (mostly on feature stories)?

Kitty Carlisle gets SO excited when she guesses corectly! None of the others do. Is there some reward she receives for it? Or just easily exitable?
She turned downright hostile on one occasion
when she was proved wrong. 😡
Wow! A young unknown Bill Moyer. I love this show.

Very interesting....
I've been doing it since 1988, and I have multiple UEL families in my past. It's a fascinating 'hobby' (compulsion).
What happened to Peggy's hair !!!!????
Your content is so touching
I thought number 2 in the second round looked a lot like Dawn Wells.

7:19 I guess know-it-all Kitty never heard of Vivian Vance.
That second scuba diver contestant was gorgeous.
Peggy Cass and her voice are tough to take. 😣😖
So funny to see Bill Moyers before he became a household name.
Oh, I was wondering if that was the same one!
Yes, it's THAT Bill Moyers
Who asked you?
I had never heard the phrase "wrong side of the blanket" before and had to pause to look it up. Nice imagery.
It is an old American expression.
Moyers also wrote speeches for Lyndon Johnson!
There is indeed a Bar Sinister. Simon Bar Sinister. One of Underdog's adversaries.
And a carton of Salem’s on your way out. 😣😖
Tom and Kitty would High Five but it wasn't invented yet.😂
👀
Moyers served as special counsel to Lyndon Johnson and also was the president's press secretary. See: th-cam.com/video/dH6LZj3veJU/w-d-xo.html
Why doesn't budinski say God bless you to the panel !!!!????
They are not worthy

Fascinating! Although, I heard that qorking is what got Moyers fired.
Apparently he didn't like to be called by his real name Billy Don Moyers. I think it was Robert MacNeil who used to call him that to piss him off.
Why is budinski always laughing and laughing and laughing at everything and everyone !!!!????
One of the best!
I expected no.2 round 2 to say she was a
Miss World contestant. Beautiful
Actually #1 was the most attractive
I choose number 3…actually little me chooses number 3
Except for that challah attached to the side of #2's head.
No. 2 stone fox!!!
No 3 had a hot figure both girls were eye openes
Bill Moyers became a famous journalist
@ZoneFighter1 "A hit-- a palpable hit!"
Man #1 in Game #1
Lady #1 in Game #2

Yes he is. If you listened to his voice, either here or when he was on TV as a journalist, you'd know. He has a very distinctive voice.
Yes he was. He also press secretary to Pres. Lyndon Johnson in the mid 1960's.
@@GAGjr49 Also came up with the hit piece ad insinuating if Goldwater won he'd start a nuclear war.
Kitty’s life goal is to be right. Righter than you, righter than me!
To the left of you.
Yes-annoyingly so lol
They coulda used Ancestry.com
