My grandma (and my mom) went to TOPS for years. I loved looking at my grandma's sash with all the little pins & buttons she'd received. Eventually she went to KOPS (Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly). Great organizations. I was surprised how old it is.
2:14 Aw, it's so sweet how Tom and Bud gave that "get well soon" shoutout to Arlene! It's always very endearing to witness the camaraderie between the Goodson-Todman cast members... I wonder why Arlene was the only WML panelist who never appeared on TTTT; Dorothy did it once in 1962, Bennett was on for 4 episodes of the syndicated version, and yet Arlene (who made frequent appearances across a variety of different game shows) never did.
This was played 3days before my high school graduation. It seems a lifetime ago. My favorite panel member was Kitty. She always was elegant. Had a great laugh.🎈🎈
In this time period, both Kitty and Eamonn appeared on WML. They were on the show in the period when Arlene was not on the show having been nearly killed in an auto accident.
13:45 Karate started in Okinawa, Japan. Just because you're a fighting expert doesn't mean you have to be a history expert! 15:05 at east Peggy was closer, geographically.
Bud Collyer says he's also on the daytime version of TTTT . Did they record any of the daytime shows and did they have a different panel ? I love this show and would like to see the daytime version .
#2 in the first game acted as though she wished she were somewhere else. She also seemed hard of hearing. 23:18 I think that was the longest reveal in the history of the show.
I love these old shows. Brings back so many great memories when life was so simple and easy going.
The sixties were anything but simple and easy going!!!

Dorothy & Arlene were both imposters a few days before Dorothy's death in 1965. The episode was aired after though, confusing viewers.

I love Eamonn Andrews. He hosted the British version of "This Is Your Life." He was so handsome here.
I think those guards next to the jewelry are Toody and Muldoon from "Car 54, Where Are You?"
Lol. If so, they were in trouble.

tom poston as usual was brilliant.

Was surprised the gemologist didn't know about Hatton Garden. It's a famous London Street where Jewelry is sold.
Great show that conjures much reminiscing, but very poor camera directing in terms of camera work with overwhelmingly isolated shots.

The Sherman case needs a detective like Lieutenant Columbo to solve it
Just one more thing....
Sherman case ? Where did that come from ?
Contestant #1, Game 3: Nugget Magazine was hot stuff! I have a few issues. Wow!
What was Nugget ? In a nutshell
I googled. Wowsers ! Gonna get some back issues for perusal
There was TOPS in the 60's? I went to TOPS
Eamonn Andrews would go on to found RTE in Ireland!
They couldn’t say get well to Arlene??
Some kind of TV rules
Lady #1 in Game #1
Man #1 in Game #2
