biggest journaling tip: self-expression comes in many forms. in my journal, i paint and glue and scribble and draw and write and log habits/things and stick momentos and photos.
I’ve been journaling for almost 20 years. The biggest thing I’ve learned from journaling is that you know your dreams manifest because you wrote them down… even if it was 5-10 years prior.
Self Growth needs a PLAN, it's so IMPORTANT... You need to set where you want to be in 6 months, 1 year and even 5 years.... Thinking on the long run makes you part of the 1% mindset
I really liked the video, because he doesn't really want to sell anything (aside from a like and a comment) and he really told what he believes in, for you to become a better version of yourself. And he was just honest and I think that is huge.
Okay, first of all: I F*CKING FREAKED OUT WHEN YOU ASKED "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?", like seriously, I just can't stop thinking about it. I'm going to ask that question to every friend, family member, HUMAN. I just wasn't expecting when I clicked on this video that you were gonna blow my mind in the way you did. So I give you my honest congrats. I feel like a need a summary of this video, you said way too many things that I need to think about. Love when you say that we need to be our own "prophets" , couches. It's so true that in personal development we tend to celebrate the choices that other make, like "Wow this dude is amazing", but we don't usually put in practice all the things we learn. And that is so sad, we stay exactly the same, over and over again. Just waiting. WHAT THE F*UCK ARE WE WAITING FOR? We only have this life, this present. The least we can do is try. I am getting back into journalling again, l started years ago when I started to write a movie script and I have put all the people l know into the script. But now I written 3 movie 🎥 scripts & got a program on my computer to put each character their profile about theirselves in background
A good tip I learned a while back is to keep a small notebook with you. I'll take notes throughout the day (as things pop up), and then transfer them into my journal each week. It helps me to remember the small nuggets that would otherwise disappear into oblivion, and also makes them easy to look back on at a later date from a different perspective. Love your channel by the way Clark!
"when you coach someone you need to lead them to their own conclusions" that's where it hit me ...I went to the bookstore with my mom to buy some school supplies and I was watching that notebook ...I left it at where I took it from and after 5minutes I was lead there in front of the notebook! I grabbed it and my mom asked me what are you going to do with this and I said idk I want to write things in it...and somehow I am here sitting in my bed watching you to how to journal for self growth and I told okay that is my fate Period !!!
Omg!! Finally some structure!! I've always had an interest in Journaling and have made a few in the past but never found that they helped me, I did express myself creatively but they were without goals and I always felt that what I wanted to write down doesn't always sound authentic unless I'm complaining about something. I know for a fact this will change everything, thank you so much.
Your G wagon analogy spoke to me. I was rereading my journal yesterday and realized some of the dreams and goals that I have were given to me by other people but were never dreamt of by me. Journaling helped me pinpoint what I liked about those past goals and reform them to what I wanted. Awesome video
I don’t really have a biggest journaling tip cuz I actually just started journaling thanks to you and ik you probably not gonna see this comment, cuz this is 2-years old video, but I just wanted to say thanks for making these! you’re inspiring me a lot Clark. you’re changing my mind from being completely lost to wanna be actually okay and make myself the best version of me! hope you’re doing great man! sending love x
I can't put it as eloquently as you did, but helping people arrive at their own answers to their problems is so insightful and important! One of the keys of coaching for sure!
Hey Clark, You are the best teacher ever :) I used that method to start cooking. First, I inumerate the supermarket list and went grocery shopping, and then at home, I put the ingredients together. Now I cook without make lists or look at recipes. Also, I decided I would just cook meals for 10 or 20 minutes no longer. No oven. Salads if i want to save money on hydro. Has been a journey. :)
Oh man, i generally don't write comments but this one is so relatable! I started journaling by watching Clark's videos couple years back and watched this today... Thank you Clark! 😊
Hi, I really like what you said about leading a client to recognize information on their own! You are absolutely correct. I am an aspiring therapist, and this is what we call Socratic questioning. You're right in that the client or person must realize it on their own in order to fully receive and internalize and thus change! I will also say that from personal experience, I have had times where I have felt so lost that I actually felt that I needed to watch those TH-cam videos or self help books for a starting point of guidance. I was so into my head that I was in need of another's healthy mind and perspective to gain some clarity and strength; almost like training wheels. And once I felt strong again, I was able to hear my own healthy internal voice now no longer convoluted with past unhealthy irrational thoughts and fears. I like your videos and I like what you're doing!!! I am a happy subscriber :)
I absolutely love journaling. I have been doing it for years and I didn’t really realize how important and valuable it is. I was just doing it to survive, literally, it was the only thing that kept me going at times. Sometimes I fill up a journal in two weeks or less (college ruled composition notebooks are what I use) . And not many of them are the same, I don’t follow a pattern, I just write...sometimes it’s all feelings and thoughts, sometimes it is just notes on what I am reading or studying (Sidhartha favorite novel, science and practice of humility favorite self help book). But I am realizing that the most important thing is that I just write!!!
That’s a new way to think about journaling. I took the advantage of journaling about two years ago, but for the last 3 months I’ve begun journaling daily about twice a day, and throughout work. But the way you’ve explained it, makes it easier. Thank you I really needed it.
Just started watching and listening to your channel and must say, I'm really getting allot out of it! Started journalling last Monday after watching many of your videos and already see that it's helping my mental clarity quite a bit. Thank you for your hard work on this channel and to all of you that comment. I plan on continuing this practice.
Clark you are so easy to watch. You deal out your gems is a charismatic way. Makes you want to journal. I took away from your channel that it is very important to invest in yourself, write it down own, so that you can look back and continue to grow. You are a joy to watch thank you for the job that you're doing.💜💜💜
Love your "first page brainwash" idea Clark! I've found myself repeating abundance minset affirmations, reading Scriptures, and getting myself hyped up on book quotes. Napoleon Hill was right when he said our subconscious minds are the most valuable piece of real estate we have and that we often underestimate it.
Bruh, you have given me inspiring ideas for self growth. I recently had an idea that would increase my potential for self growth and personal empowerment and self exploration as well as learning by embedding ideas for change is by taking one book (to start) that has inspired you the most and clearly hand writing it (copy word for word) in a journal or a series of journals. For example: After reading and studying this gem over and over again from cover to cover The Art Of War by Sun Tzu now copy/print it out in out in a journal. Writing it out seems so much more effective and therapeutic as well relaxing. This allows me further studying its contents until it is thoroughly ingrained in my thoughts. But dont let it become an obsession. Never let your hobbies become obsessions. They should only be life enhancers. Just take an hour or two or just a half hour. instead of watching tv, spend that time on a hobby.
Year, it works... I do it for 72 days now (similar approach) and nudged a number of things in my life =) And even created some vids myself)) thanks again... it's pleasant to see other people do it as well
Thanks for the Clark. This might my best ever comment on TH-cam channel after I realized through "journalling" itself that I need to dialogue with the content of TH-cam and not only a mere consumer of its content. I agree with you on journalling. There are really advantages: (1) You can look at your life experience objectively. (2) Examine it (3) Evaluate your actions (4) Form self-beliefs (5) Track your progress. As for me, I do my journal every day for 20 years. Unlike my previous journals, these past two years have changed my journal style, that is, aside from describing my life experiences, I write my goals, my priorities, my lessons for the day. Journal helps me prepare the next day. And what I would like to add, is that, we need also to evaluate periodically our journal to see our progress and self-development. Since October of last year, I began digitalizing a "summary" of my journal weekly. And I was surprised where it got me so far. I love that you mentioned Jim Rohn who is also one of my influences on journalling, "on putting everything on paper". I haven't heard of DaVinci's and the Autobiography of the Yogi but you motivate me to add it to my Reading List. This is what good about consuming "good contents" on TH-cam. You find worthy suggestions and decide for yourself what help. Remembering Jim Rohn who said: Be a student, not a follower. You get to decide after you gather enough information. Thanks to you once again. Good job. God bless as always!
I've never commented a single TH-cam video before but you are leading us through these videos with such passion that I can't resist but giving you a big like and a big Thank You for doing this! Been in to journaling before but lost my consistency but that's something that I'm inspired to get back to now. Awesome!
i totally agree with rereading books you learned a lot from or had the most impact from. i did that recently and realized how much more information i missed out on because it didn’t make sense in the moment so when i reread certain books it gave me new perspectives to apply to my life and things started clicking, connecting the dots to other things i recently learned. you never know what new information starts making more sense when you reread. 🙌🏽
It's not just me who finds that u r mind - awakening person ! Yea not mind -blowing but awakening it , it's kinda clear from the comment section . Just wanna say for the nth time , totally love ur content.
I journaled inconsistantly about my study of how Life started over 14 years and solved IT!!! I wrote a book from my notes and now have published my Nobel Prize Worthy Idea from Journaling!!! Journaling Is The Most Powerful Human Activity!!! Your Method is a very good system!!!
Seeing your growth through the years really makes me believe it is possible ❤ I am so passionate about journaling and vision boarding , just like you. And I am going to start my channel now 🎉 and I believe i can do it because of your words
Clark, you truly get me inspired in the geeky way that we always talk about on this channel. You are my GO TO journal nerd that I always come back to because you just get it. I’ve watched a lot of journaling videos on TH-cam over the years but I always find myself on your channel because of how relatable and easy going you are. I have been watching your videos for almost 4 years now and whenever I need some content to fire up my journaling passion I watch one of your videos! Thank you for creating this content. The fact that I can watch these whenever I want is just amazing. I hope you are so proud of the brand and movement you have created, I know that you have inspired literally thousands of people all over the globe :) Keep it up legend! We are all so proud of you and itching for your next video!
It was 2016-17 when I first saw Clark DANGER and thought: This dude could play Clark Kent in Superman!! Thanks for sharing the inside covers in your journal :)
I take away from this video something that my best friend has always said to me is that you have to pull from yourself before you pull from someone else. If charity starts at home, then your help to become a better version of you starts with you. A stranger can tell you how to be a better you, because they don’t know you. You can lie to the world, but you can’t lie to yourself.
"Repetition is the Mother of Skill". I reread several different books multiple times as well. It helps the knowledge to sink in. I think it definitely has helped in my success as journaling has, too. Setting goals are key.
Great video like always. I keep my agendas and junk journals. My favorite thing to do when I’m in a funk is to go through them. Never fails to inspire and cheer me up.
What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail? I’d devote myself to various kinds of art. This video was great, your enthusiasm on the subject is catching. I’ve been journaling for years, but not like you do it! I’ll have to watch more of your videos!
Don't know why I didn't realize it before. You're right that reading the same book can help you learn more and be more effective than new books. There's a reason why we read the same Bible stories over and over each year and get more out of it each time. Understand it better each time. Loads of Jobs like Doctors and Construction workers have to go back to the reference book everyday in their careers.
I was a journaling kid all the way up to middle school. Became slow at journal in high school. And then from college and forward, I haven't journaled. Starting up journaling again, but yeah I like doing things the right way so Im taking a look at the journaling videos! I forget how powerful it is to write it all down to change yourself!
You can also stick pictures into the journal. It's an automatic visualization. Seemingly it has worked for me. Use different colors write diagonally and add drawings... Make your journal an inspiring fun place to go to
Hi! I just started following you on TikTok & love your content. I used to journal before my son (he's now 15). Got a lot out of it & after watching your video & I'm going to get back to it. I'm self employed & have had some success but need to push for higher goals! :) Thanks. I really like your approach.
I love to see what I was and what I thought a few years ago. I´m in my teenage yearsand so much is changing and I`m very grateful that I journaled a few years ago for a little bit. Currently I´m picking it up again and for this cause, I watched your vid. I`m defnitly look through my old journals now. THANKS Mr Danger!
My favorite thing I took away from this was the concept of are you really doing it for yourself or are you inspired through someone else's experience or however you worded that. That was a really good topic to touch on. I have been trying to start journaling my emotions and finding new ways to word that it is ok to have those. I am a very emotional person and I would like to use that tool to help me make mediation videos. I've always hated the fact that I was such an emotional person but I'm finding a way to use it as power not defeat.
I really appreciate what you said about borrowing the faith because that’s definitely what I do since I don’t know any other way. Now I can find what I’ve been looking for. My core beliefs. Thank you
Thanks so much! I have journals for so many years but quit in the last 5. I started on January 1st this year and it's been an amazing journey for self discovery plus dealing with the upset during covid and everything else going on in the world. I reccomend it for everyone and you are right...you will become your own coach and become much more aware of your actual life when you soul search by simply journaling. ❤
The target method is sooo cool. It demonstrates expansion. I’m going to buy some journals like right now. Does anyone journal but inconsistently? I find it was less effective when I’m not consistent.
After watching this video I went back through my *inconsistent* journals and really see the value in what my ideas were... all the great notes and inspirational quotes! Rereading journals definitely helped inspired me to be more consistent going forward.
Yep, i do and it gets addictive because its almost like writing an adventure novel on yourself. Then you think biography, publishing and money. Its really good for mental health and self love. Power to you. You will love it. It makes you strong
Bradley Latham growing up... as a teen i wrote a diary every night. It was a purge of the sorts like a venting system lol. When I journal now.. I find it’s more future based instead of mulling over the day. Do you experience the same?
@@ThePositivityPrincess Hmm, vaguely, because im only beginning the structured process. I've come out of a traumatic past and so beginning to get better and clarity.
The two items that stick out for me is to write 100 questions to unlock the creativity within you and to reread a book that you found valuable at least 10 times over. I appreciatethe advice.
been journaling since 3th grade because i loved the idea of writing about my life, i loved "diary of a wimpy kid" and violetta. But this year, i started journaling for self growth. Before this year, i only wrote down what had been going through in my life, why i was sad, my heartbreaks, or how in love i was with this new guy. Then i went through a really hard time with my self-esteem, heartbreak, family issues and school. And i just needed to find what was so wrong in my life. I started reading my old journals, bought a new one, and just wrote down how i felt. Then i started smoking weed while doing this, and I just went into a flow where i litterly didn't even think before i wrote, it was purely from my mind. I don't smoke weed anymore, since one of the goals of my life was to actually study and be healthy, but man did weed help me find out my harshest issues. Obviously one of them was me smoking in the first place. when i stopped writing that one night, it felt like i had discovered my own truth. my own conclusion to life. You littelry write about your own story, your life, your lessons. Think about when you're 89 and just read through your whole life. Can't think about anything more accomplishing. Love you Clark, really an inspiration!
Something I love the that you pointed out is how you look back at your old journals. As a sketch artist I have been drawing since 2013 and collected massive amounts of sketch books that I still look back and study , compare to this day definitely will be using some of your advise the 100 questions is my favorite idea yet good video!
Wow. I paused the video 4 minutes in and im just like this absolute genius! I wish i had known this 5 years ago and im definitely going to apply this today. I have a sketch book and a journal i bought atleast two years ago and ill start trying this technique! So excited to get started!
Love that you say to reread books that spoke to you. Always feel drawn to certain ones but tell myself I should look to others. Thanks for the freedom to read on repeat!
Re-read the book you have previously read and got something out off. I read the autobiography of a yogi when I realised it was Steve Jobs book that he re read. And that book really helped me understand manifestation and it’s various concepts at a different level. It opened my eyes in various ways to the world of manifestation. It’s unique that the book doesn’t teach you methods but when you then learn methods, it helped me absorb and implement them better with better results. Loads of ahas. In the same way, my journals teach me. I love days I reread my own journals. My only things with journaling. Why didn’t I start sooner. Now I am trying to add to my practice and the information here was awesome. ❤️
True, if one views this as a “duty” then it’ll fade and inspiration is deflated. I’d like to view it as a fun exploration about my endless ideas and dreams, realistic or not. Thanks Clark!
Hi! For my AP Language class I have started a project where I journal everyday. I am new at this so I have a few questions and it would be awesome if you could answer them:) 1. How can journaling help as a method of personal growth and self improvement? 2. Why do you believe that journaling is a good technique to destress? What makes journaling more effective than other techniques? 3. How long does it take for one to become an “expert” in journaling? 4. What is the biggest positive of journaling? And Is it helpful for everyone, or only certain people?
thanks clark kegley for this video and what u do man. i love this stuff. this video came in clutch for me in my life right now because ive been journaling for a while and i want to get the most out of it and found this video.
Really great advice. I had just myself reached the conclusion. Don’t read more personal development books. Revisit what you’ve got and make them your own through journaling. First one of your journals I have seen but now subscribed and going out to buy a notebook to turn into my first journal.
I love the front cover Idea, really helps me to put everything in perspective for myself in one year. It highlights who I am and affirms and validates myself. I'm a beginner and am starting to journal for mental health purposes mainly. So far I can see this helping me prioritize my thoughts and feelings I want to change
Hello, thanks for the video man. I am a 27 year old women who just got my first journal. I hope it helps me clear my thoughts. Wish me luck! Your video was very inspiring to me.
I like to journal for self improvement as well; I’ve improved myself enough already to know I want Air Force ones instead of Yeezys. Imagine what more I can accomplish in the following years
At 51 I have started a journal for the first time. This series has given me the structure to progress outside of more traditional business plans and daily/weekly task lists. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the video I've been having trouble with consistency but as we go we learn so I just wanted to learn about Journaling and a got a clue from this video Ama push harder cause I believe sacrifice brings paradise
Let's boost that algorithm! Totally agree with re-reading favorite books. I write the month and year in the front of the book each time. Am amazed how certain books sustain me during some of the most challenging times. Also make notes in the margins. Thanks for sharing the real you!

"Coaching yourself" & "Re-read books that gave you the most value" were two of my biggest takeaway.
Ay this what I’m lookin for, how you set up your system for that. I wanna keep reading and learning new things but how do you rotate old books into it
Classic first and last point principle!

I started journaling yesterday, I just put down my thoughts at the time.
I do it for 72 days now (similar approach) and nudged a number of things in my life =) And even created some vids myself)) thanks again... it's pleasant to see other people do it as well
You’re convicting me, in a good way, to journal consistently. Thank you.
Good job. God bless as always!
thank you for this i had to reply the video again and again for this and hoping to see a comment that details it
I've never commented a single TH-cam video before but you are leading us through these videos with such passion that I can't resist but giving you a big like and a big Thank You for doing this!
The journaling tip I like the best is to journal when you wake up to start the day off or before going to bed so you can process things and unwind.
I hope you are so proud of the brand and movement you have created, I know that you have inspired literally thousands of people all over the globe :)
Keep it up legend! We are all so proud of you and itching for your next video!
It was 2016-17 when I first saw
Clark DANGER and thought:
This dude could play Clark Kent in Superman!!
Thanks for sharing the inside covers in your journal :)
I will be trying this now that I've lost myself. I'll get back to you to see what worked and what didn't
Thank you so much for making these videos! This is precious! I am grateful.
Clark is a leader, now I'm motivated to keep a journal; thank YOU
Day-dreaming can be forgotten
writing it down can be productive
to
to.. it's a typo
You have inspired me to make the most of my monthly Audible credit by rereading my beloved books. Thank you.
This is an AWESOME video. When he talks about borrowing the faith of others..... floored me
You can also stick pictures into the journal. It's an automatic visualization. Seemingly it has worked for me. Use different colors write diagonally and add drawings... Make your journal an inspiring fun place to go to
Thanks man, just starting to realize what a wealth of knowledge this channel is
THANKS Mr Danger!
you seem like a good guy! Keep up the great work and definitely continue opening up these conversations with more men
My favorite thing I took away from this was the concept of are you really doing it for yourself or are you inspired through someone else's experience or however you worded that.
Thank you....... I wanted to journal for a while now and didn't know how to start, so Thank you for this.
It's been since 2009 when I started my first journal. Thanks. I'm going to read it again.
Kim Possible I agree. I find myself collecting all of these jewels of wisdom. I’m going to go back and look at mine. Great idea!
Thank you for this!! Been looking to begin journaling...a little late to the party but better late than never :)
I did this with Louise Hayes You can Heal Your Life. And it has changed my life. Affirmations reprogram your old thinking and feelings.
Clark is the best..he inspires me to start up a TH-cam channel.
I already started a TH-cam channel a long time ago
@@realloreal ok
True, if one views this as a “duty” then it’ll fade and inspiration is deflated. I’d like to view it as a fun exploration about my endless ideas and dreams, realistic or not. Thanks Clark!
Hi! For my AP Language class I have started a project where I journal everyday. I am new at this so I have a few questions and it would be awesome if you could answer them:)
Happy New Year! Awesome topic. A lot of new ideas too. I appreciate the video.
thanks clark kegley for this video and what u do man. i love this stuff. this video came in clutch for me in my life right now because ive been journaling for a while and i want to get the most out of it and found this video.
Thank you for continuing to post videos frequently. What are your best marketing resources that you have found?
Really great advice. I had just myself reached the conclusion. Don’t read more personal development books. Revisit what you’ve got and make them your own through journaling. First one of your journals I have seen but now subscribed and going out to buy a notebook to turn into my first journal.
I love the front cover Idea, really helps me to put everything in perspective for myself in one year. It highlights who I am and affirms and validates myself. I'm a beginner and am starting to journal for mental health purposes mainly. So far I can see this helping me prioritize my thoughts and feelings I want to change
😊💞
Loved this. I've been wanting to start journaling but didn't know how to start!
Hello, thanks for the video man. I am a 27 year old women who just got my first journal. I hope it helps me clear my thoughts. Wish me luck! Your video was very inspiring to me.

Just discovered your channel and as a retired high school teacher, I appreciate your style and messages! I’m starting a journal now!
I am seeing journaling in a different way and how it can be very helpful. Thanks for sharing these tips.
Thank you for mentioning Forwago. I started using it and I really like it so far.
very cool video thx for every tip
Thank you. It’s like I’ve been too stubborn to begin journaling and I found inspiration to get going from your video.
This video has definately made me look forward to making a journal of my own...
Your energy is infectious
Easily one of our favorite creators on the tubes...
I always start, I am focused then I fall off every time! I came for advice to help me remain committed!
Thanks for the video I've been having trouble with consistency but as we go we learn so I just wanted to learn about Journaling and a got a clue from this video

Can’t find the link to those 11 questions pdf, do you mind sharing it? Thx 🙏🏻
Yo that gave me insights on what i can do to start my journal very informative ty !
Let's boost that algorithm! Totally agree with re-reading favorite books. I write the month and year in the front of the book each time. Am amazed how certain books sustain me during some of the most challenging times. Also make notes in the margins. Thanks for sharing the real you!
you rock man! thanks a lot for all your teachings!
